The depressive state

Why does this always happen to me I thought as I lay in my bed looking over at the wall in the same place, I've been for 3 months now because I'm in another one of my stupid

depression episodes. I have not talked to anyone, I've barely eaten anything. But today, I have finally decided to check my text messages except I did not think anyone would message me. They probably don't care for all I know they probably have not noticed that I haven't been active for like 3 months, but as I checked my phone it said I had 33 new messages apparently somebody did notice I wonder who it was, so I open my messages and see Joel has been trying to contact me and the messages where all like hey I've missed you where have you been Dave I'm worried please answer your phone, and that just made me feel really terrible. I have not even messaged Joel my best friend he probably hates me or thinks I'm dead, but I still don't message him but if he messages me again today, I will answer him. I can't just not talk to him yet. I mean he is my friend after all but I just feel, so bad about it that I just cant bring myself to message him right now.

Joel:

So, I have been trying to get in contact with Dave for 3 months now, I wasn't worried at first but 3 months is a really long time not to hear from your best friend. I have given up on messaging him so now I am going to grab a few things that I need then I'm going to his house because if there is something wrong I have to be there for him. I mean that is what friends do, I pack some clothes to make sure I have them in case something really is wrong, and I need to stay at Dave's. I have to get there as soon as possible, so I need to leave now.

*time skip*

Now that I'm at Dave's house I knock on the door but I have no answer then I think well if he is upstairs he might not be able to hear me. I take the key he had given me for if something happened, and we needed to get away from home we could go to each others house, and I use it to unlock the door, and everything is so quiet it is strange. The only way I know he he here because his car is currently in the drive.
