The kidnapper isn't stupid...

Liu Jun Yi walked into the meeting in a completely foul mood. Everyone in the room kept silent. His head was low since he was looking through some papers, but they were all stiff from fear. Jinhai was the only one who wasn't so tense. He only felt worried for Chen Ai Yu's safety.

Jinhai lightly tapped Jun Yi on the shoulder. "We should quickly start and end this meeting. That way, we can quickly go over to where Jianjun is," he whispered to Jun Yi. Jun Yi nodded and replied, "Seeing the topic we are about to discuss, I currently don't need you here so could you go and help continue the search for that unknown number? Just stay on that path of investigation first. I can't think straight right now." Jinhai nodded and left the meeting room.

When the other employees saw Jinhai leave, they were horrified. He was the one they depended on if Jun Yi suddenly wanted to rip their faces off! Jun Yi neatened the papers on the wooden desk and harrumphed. "Let's start." His cold voice echoed in the meeting room and made the dazed employees unwillingly pull their attention back.

Meanwhile, Jianjun had just reached Ai Yu's house with a few other policemen. They all wore gloves so that they didn't leave fingerprints overwriting those that belong to the culprit, or culprits. It wasn't long before they arrived. Jianjun unlocked the door and they started on their search throughout the house.

-

When they were about to open the door to the bedroom, they heard footsteps come from the living room. They were all on guard and held their guns towards the corridor connecting the living room to the bedroom. They all watched as the shadow got closer and closer.

Soon enough, a man walked into view. Even pointing a dozen or so guns at the man didn't faze him. He continued walking as if the guns were nonexistent. "Jianjun. How has the search been going?" The voice asked. Upon closer look, they all realised it was Jun Yi! That jewelry kid!

Since he was someone who had a higher status than them, all of them bowed, except for Jianjun. He replied, "Nothing around the house. We have yet to search the bedroom so I suspect the kidnapper entered through a window from the bedroom. If it's that way, then it will narrow down the possibilities."

"Yea, I forgot to tell you just now, but I got the CCTV footage of last night from the front of the building. It can see Ai Yu's bedroom windows quite clearly. I'll forward it to you, give me a second," Jun Yi said as he pulled out his phone. "Okay, I'll pass it on to the investigation team back at the police station," Jianjun said as he took his phone out too.

They continued their search into the bedroom. The kidnapper wasn't stupid... they were VERY stupid. They left their fingerprints everywhere and wasn't careful at all. Even from just looking at the fingerprints, you could pretty vision what had happened while he was trying to retrieve Ai Yu.

First thing's first, the kidnapper pushed the window open a little bigger and climbed in. They then laid on the ground out of exhaustion and then got up and went straight for Ai Yu. They had difficulties and had to place their hand on the bed for support. After getting Ai Yu unconscious, they carried her and climbed out the window, returning the window to it's original half open position before slowly lowering themself.

"This couldn't be more obvious. We can identify the owner of these fingerprints now, it won't be too difficult. After which, the location of this person at the moment, though, might be harder to find," Jianjun said to Jun Yi. He nodded. "I don't care how hard it's going to be. We're going to find her whether she's going to be lifeless or not," Jun Yi said. "As you wish, Yun," Jianjun replied.

Since Jun Yi wasn't experienced with stuff like this, he sat at the side and took a scan of the bedroom. He'd been there earlier in the day, but he was so panicked that he didn't take his time to look at the decor and furnishing.

The bed was placed smack square in the middle of the room and it had a mainly black coloured bed sheet with little moons, stars, star constellations and zodiac symbols scattered about. The walls were painted a baby pink, which gave a welcoming and warm feeling. They were filled with posters and framed pictures of bands and pictures of space and the beautiful night sky. There were also game character posters hanging about. Under the bed was a matching baby pink carpet with a black outer lining.

There were hardly any books, but she had a computer set up on one side of her desk which looked very intricate. There were wires neatly organised and the PC was pretty big. On the other side of the desk she had a stack of unique notebooks, a small silver laptop with a comfortable amount of astronomic stickers complimenting the silver. A fluffy black office chair matched with the desk. To the left of Jun Yi, opposite of where they were currently investigating, there was a grey dresser with a mirror above it. On it were various make up items and a decorative bunch of fake peonies. Next to the dresser was a white metal cloth hanger stand which was drilled into the ceiling and the floor. There were fairy lights lining the cloth hanger stand. They had little translucent star lights hanging around the stand as well.

Seeing this, Jun Yi found out about a new fact about Ai Yu. She likes astronomy... and maybe even gaming and decorating things. The place was so well decorated, it was obvious she had been staying here for quite some time. The timing was perfect. After Jun Yi's look around the room, he received a call from Jinhai.

"Boss Yun, we... found the location of the phone. We're very lucky, if not for lady luck being on our side, we wouldn't have been able to find it even if we tried our best. It's right outside Langgu cafe. We're not sure if the unknown dropped it or wanted to throw it away and has terrible aim or what, but we can check for finger prints and old chats or the people they have called."

"Good work. Your job here is done, we'll be passing that on to the police now, but I want to follow along."

"Aish... you made me have my hopes up for a break for a second there. Okay, are you at Ai Yu's house now? Still investigating?"

"Yea, they found fingerprints all over the place. Seems the kidnapper is inexperienced."

"Oh, I see. Should I go over?"

"No, since you want a break so badly then go have today, from right now, off."

"Boss Yun, really? You're not bluffing right?"

"Why would I? I'm an honest person, I never tell lies."

"Mmhmm... but you just told one. But anyways, thank you for the break! I'll spend it wisely... meanwhile you still have to work... heh."

"You want me to take it away? Anyways, I need to end the call now, seems they've found the culprit. I'll inform you later."

Just like that, they ended the call with Jinhai happily skipping out of the office.
