25 War Begins!

In the morning, I woke up between three girls. My sisters were hugging my arms, and Ylva was on top of me. I gently lifted my body and placed Ylva in my place and left the room to clean up. After cleaning up, I left the house and walk towards to village square.

Today was the day Trolls would arrive. Goblins were running around everywhere. I spotted the table that leaders were running the simulations last time. I approached and stood silently at the side. I couldn't decide on their defence tactics, I had only one task at hand, and I was intending to finish it.

The expected force of Trolls were 50 strong fighters. 30 Level 7, 15 Level 8, 4 Level 9, and 1 Level 10 Troll. Goblins had around 150 fighters in the village, and only a bunch of them were above level 7, even their strongest warrior was level 9. But they had the advantage of number and home ground.

I noticed they didn't place me in any of the simulations they ran, but it was understandable. I was foreign, and even though I proved my power, my motivation was still in the air. I said I would help, but they had to consider the possibility of my desert. And the probability of me attacking them with the Trolls? That was the death sentence they couldn't avoid even if they were to do their best, so there was no need to waste time on that simulation.

After considering every possibility twice, troops gathered. Archers placed on watchtowers, and warriors waited behind the door, ready to die. I idly sat on the big stakes and waited for trolls. The tremors of 50 giant trolls' marching could be felt. The ground quaked, and a focused person could hear cries of Trolls'.

After a few minutes, giant heads started to appear between thick trees. Their color was rock grey, and their stature was as I imagined. Muscular big bodies and disfigured ugly face. They had cold weapons varying from throwing stones to metal clubs. The one at the forefront was sporting leather armor. The other were only covering their crotches and some females also their chests covered.

I gazed at the one with the leather armor. He had a wood staff in his hand made from black wood with some red inscriptions on it. I could feel mana from the rod. This was the first weapon I had seen with mana inside. "Is that a Mana Weapon?"

Mana Weapon is a term to describe weapons that can be used with elements. They are difficult to create because only expert blacksmiths can forge them. Most of the Mana Weapons are elementless. All element users can use it with their manas, but it is weaker then special Mana Weapons forged for a specific Element.

An elementless sword can be used by a Fire Element user, but resonance with the element is limited. But a sword forged for Fire Element will interoperate with the user and unleash greater power than 1+1.

[Name: Zulabar

Age: 45

Level:10

Special Ability: Iron Muscles

Troll.]

[Name: Iron-Wood Rod

Compatible Elements: Wood-Iron]

Element Weapon. Too bad it is not compatible with my elements, still the Troll King is a hard nut to crack. I wasn't expecting him to possess a Mana Weapon. But I have never been outside the world, so I am not really sure about the value of these weapons. They were none exist in the Temple, but in the outside world, there may be too many of them.

I looked at others and confirmed the intelligence the scouts had brought. It was possible to hide one's level, but if the gap between two person's levels is too high it can be probed easily. The cultivation level between Goblins and Trolls is not that much, but Trolls didn't intend to hide their level, so scouts were able to probe them easily.

As I was inspecting the Troll King, Troll King was eying Gizlux. He was the strongest in the Goblin Village, and they clashed before. Zulabar was a level higher than Gizlux, but he failed to finish him when they fought last time. At the time Zulabar was level 9, and Gizlux was 8. But level 10 was a lot different than level 9, and Zulabar was confident enough to finish Gizlux this time.

Of course, I didn't catch his eyes. It was impossible to observe my level because of my Title "Free of All Monitors." I was leisurely sitting on a stake, but it wasn't that weird, so it didn't rose any great suspicion.

"Let's kill these half-pints and get over with it." Zulabar roared to the trolls following him.

"ROAR!" Trolls cried in zeal.

"We will fight for our loved ones. Protect the land, protect the life those dear to us!" Chief cried to the Goblins.

"ROAR!" All goblins roared.

Archers aimed their bows and nocked the arrows.

"Fire!" Archer commander gave the order. The first set of arrows hit the trolls, but they weren't strong enough to penetrate their hides. Only a few lucky ones hit the eyes and caused some injuries. "Free throw."

"Throw the stones!" Zulabar also gave the order, and stones started to rain from the sky. Unfortunately, stones were more effective than arrows. Few goblins breathed their last, beneath giant boulders.

"Open the door. Fight for with your life." Chief gave the order, and doors opened. I also jumped from the stake I was sitting on and ran to Troll King.

"It is time to try my new element!" I smiled and jumped between trees to make it harder for them to aim me. When I was about to reach Troll King, I saw Ginlux was also running towards Troll King.

"This idiot!" I kicked him on his side and sent him to other trolls. "He is all mine, go fight with others."

Ginlux looked me wronged but followed my order reluctantly. I turned back to now confused Troll King and smirked. "Let's battle!"
