4 Don't Over Think

Lucian's POV

I drove Patricia back to Rick's place. I needed to talk to Sandy about something, and I honestly wasn't sure she would help me with it. But she was the only one who could help me.

I was lost in my own thoughts when Derrick jumped in the middle of the road. He looked feral like an animal. I stopped the car and just waited. He stood there, legs shoulder width apart and glaring straight at me. I couldn't help the smirk that plastered to my face. I knew why he was so pissed. He slowly made his way to the passenger door, never taking his eyes off me.

"You asshole," he started as he got in and slammed the door. "Why'd you volunteer to take her to the clinic," he demanded.

"What's the matter Derrick? Afraid I'll steal your girl," I smirk.

"You think she'll leave the leech for you," he sneered at me.

I chuckled darkly before continuing towards the clinic. "And what if she does," I asked.

"Right! Like you have anything to offer her," he snickered.
