2 Restoration

Zhu Yun let out heavy breathes as he clutched his blanket tightly. He was dumbfounded at his very realistic 'dream'.

Rubbing his eyes, he took off the blanket and quickly ran to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror, looking at it.

He seemed younger than what he remembered, no longer possessing his scraggly beard and unkempt hair. He did not look severely sleep-deprived and certainly, he hasn't transformed in any way. So then.... why did he feel something changed and that's when,

*BRRRING BRRRINGG!*

An alarm had suddenly started in his bedroom, causing Zhu Yun to remember as he muttered,

"Alarms? I only had alarms when I had to go college.... wait..." The more he continued on with his sentence, the more his face turned ghastly pale. In the end, he quickly ran out to his room, grabbing his phone that was still vibrating through the sound it made slowly quietened. He grabbed it and turned it on before turning off the alarm and looking dumbly at the date.

Wednesday, 7:45 A.M, December 2026.

"2026....December...2026...December..2026... December isn't this.... a month before Land of The Gods is released?! And... doesn't that mean I'm still in college?!?" He exclaimed, first admonished but when he reached the end of the sentence, he was ecstatic! He had reverted back to his College Years! This meant he could change...

He could start afresh, visit mom and dad more, work and study harder, get a girlfriend and go University! It was everything he could dream of! He clenched his fists tightly with joy as he opened his window, peeked out of it and stared at the sky before shouting,

"Thanks, Heaven!" Afterward, he quickly got changed and ate breakfast before running out his flat. His nostrils were immediately assaulted by a variety of smells but either way, he welcomed them. It gave him comfort and hope as he headed straight down for the bus to his college.

Flying Stars College was your above-average college, ranking 28th in the yearly ranking tests. The best choice for your average family but, the worst for your socialite members. With a little bit of status and some... quite underhanded methods, you could easily sneak your way into the Imperial College, the 1st on the ranking list.

-Time Skip to Lunchtime.-

Something weird happened to Zhu Yun during his 'reformation'. During class, his hands would jitter about and he sometimes visualized his pen as his sword and began wiping out goblins/orcs. Of course, this did not go unnoticed, well sometimes it didn't and when it did, they would humiliate him for such a 'creative' imagination.

When he, on accident, dropped his equipment or such, somehow his hands were quicker than his mind at processing to what happened. He'd instantly catch it with his hands, this sort of reaction speed, startled him.

"What if.... my time in Land of The Gods and the battles I've had... directly translated to myself in real life..." At those words, his eyes started to glimmer with excitement! How could it not! Though his body wasn't the same as before, his mind was! That was the reason all along. He was essentially facing withdrawal symptoms from gaming.

Whilst he was deep in his thoughts, there were students coming in from their tables, huddling over the entrance and looking over each other.

"Dude, move away! Let me see her!"

There were bunches of hubbub happening within the crowd as they all suddenly hushed to the point you could hear a pin drop, a small but gradually louder sound of heels. Just as Zhu Yun looked up with annoyance because of the commotion before, he saw her.

At the sight of her, his lips quivered and face faltered. He didn't know why she would come here, why she was here! He never thought she would meet her here! She had long, flowing black hair, extending to her waist as she walked over with a crop-top and a pink skirt. In her mouth was a red lollipop that rolled in her mouth as two ladies ran over to her, holding bags upon bags of clothing, makeup, and other accessories.

Who was she? She was, Zhao Yunxin.... heiress of Global Light Corporation. A company worth trillions and such! Back during his own life, they were the first company that saw the true value and potential in the VRMMORPG and invested in many guilds, especially his, Everless. But the problem was, he had planned only for short-term and he did not have the same larger view than he had now. They had planned from the start to take complete control of the guild in the long-term, though they had to do it quietly. They siphoned shares from the various shareholders and co-operated with his friends to eventually overthrow him. The crux of it all was this femme fatale.

Zhu Yun desperately withheld his urge to just run at her and punch her in the face. Though at the same time, he had to thank her for opening his eyes. He finally saw their true intentions and was able to relive his life. Finally, after coming terms to his mind, he lowered his head and clenched his fist.
