Chapter 4: Betrayal?

Moonlight suddenly woke from a night terror, looking around realising it was a dream. Moonlight sighed and stood up. She decided to wear a hoodie that she got at the store for a discount. She slowly started to walk to the village, yawning, looking around to see if Melody is anywhere. Moonlight went over to a fresh bread and bakery store and grabbed some free samples. She grabbed some for Melody aswell and walked over to Melody's house. She knocked on the door with her other side full of bread samples. Melody's mom opened the door and welcomed Moonlight in. "Melody is in her room dear, Upstairs and its the door on the far right." Moonlight nodded. "Thank you Ma'am" Moonlight dipped her head as a polite thank you.

Moonlight started slowly walking up the stairs, step by step. Once she reached the top of the staircase Moonlight went to the last door on the right. She knocked on the door "Melody are you in here?" Melody softly replied "Yeah, Come in!" Moonlight opened the door and saw Melody laying on the floor sculpting a little tree. "Hello" Melody said. Moonlight smiled "Hello!" Moonlight sat down and both of them were silent for some time. "Moonlight. I know your secret" Melody said bravely. Moonlight blinked in shock, no showing any weakness Moonlight softly said "I do not know what you mean?" Melody laughed "Stop trying to lie. its getting you nowhere." Moonlight suddenly heard sirens and looked at Melody "Did you call animal control on me and the police??" Melody smirked "Not only did I do that, I told them to get you out of here whether your alive or dead." Moonlight growled at Melody and transformed. Smoke surrounded Moonlight and Moonlight ran out the bedroom door and burst out the house. By the time she did, she was already surrounded with animal control and the police. She growled as people from the village started watching from their windows. Moonlight clawed at one of the officers and cut his leg open. She transformed back into a human and distracted them with the smoke and knocked another officer down. Suddenly, Moonlight was shot with 3 tranquilizer darts. She felt dizzy and fell to the ground unconscious....
