1 Chapter 1

The moonlight poured on the ground as I ran. I ran quick across the leafy surface. not caring if I made any noise. I had one thing set on my mind. Escape.

For ten years I have been running. For ten years I have become a rogue amongst the outcast. My father, the alpha of the Bloody Moon Pack, kicked me out of the house threatening to kill me if I returned. All that I could think of and had heard before I left, was that the reason I was kicked from the pack was because of my mother's death.

I was barely six, the age most wolves shift, when mother came to my room. She always checked in on me. I was her blessing. Her miracle. She wasn't supposed to have children and when she found out she was pregnant with me, a celebration was held. Everyone was happy and overjoyed with the gift the moon goddess had given their luna.

That was until I was born. I was born with the blackest of hair, my parents were brown, and my eyes. That's what scared the pack the most. My left eye was baby blue and my right was a silvery grey. They automatically thought I wasn't a blessing from the moon goddess anymore but a curse from the devil himself. Mother believed differently. She said I was special. Unique.

One day she walked in to check on me like she usually did. She had been stressing for a while and was mostly sick. That didn't stop her to run around and act healthy. It was my sixth birthday. The pack wouldn't celebrate my birthday let alone acknowledge my existence.

"Happy sweet birthday, my blessing. My angel." Mom said as she walked into my room. It was a light shade of blue with grey blankets and pillows. I had hardly and toys which consisted of barbie dolls Mom would make to look like me.

"Mama." I whined. "Stop saying that." I said with a huff. Every other kid called me a demon and I had gotten used to the name. Angel only came from Mom which made me confused.

She laughed her genuine smile and coughed into her hand. She frowned at her hand before shoving it in her pocket. She pulled the smile back onto her face and turned to two maids who had followed her up to my room. My favorite maid, Rose, was holding a small pink cake. She was loyal to Mom and loved me like Mom did.

"Happy birthday to you." Four.

"Happy birthday to you." Three.

"Happy birthday dear, Anna." Two.

"Happy birthday to you." One.

Zero.

Mom's smiling face quickly turned into one of utter pain and suprise. She began clutching her chest and lowering to the ground. She began coughing up blood and wheezing before falling over onto her stomach. She was still after that.

Jessica, the maid I didn't like, screamed and ran out of the room screaming demon. I felt tears streaming down my face silently as some pack warriors came running in and stopped when seeing Mom on the floor. One of them I knew by name. He was Mom's gaurd. His name was Jack. He slowly looked up at me with so much hatred and anger that I flinched.

"Get the alpha. And take the demon to the cells." He spat. Two warriors grabbed me and dragged me downstairs to the cells while the other two ran to Dad.

I shook the memories out of my head. The beating I had received from the pack for that day should have killed me. Instead, it stunted my wolf. Making it to where I didn't shift that day. Ten years later, I still haven't shifted. And I wish I would have.

"Stop!" A male's yell comes from behind me as I run. I'm fast, faster than most wolves. My agility and sense of direction are also better than most wolves.

I go to take a sharp left but am stopped when a body collides with mine from behind and throws me to the forest floor. I struggle under the heavy body and attempt, I repeat, attempt to growl. I had gotten good over the years.

I could feel the body above me chuckle as he pulled my hands behind my back and trapped my legs to the ground.

"Look at that guys. She's trying to growl. How adorable. Too bad you were crossing our lands sweetheart. Or else I would have had some fun with you." He chuckled above my left ear.

"Good luck with that bud." I said.

He stopped chuckling and I could practically hear his eyebrows furrow. "What do you mean?"

It was my turn to laugh this time. I twisted my body underneath him to look at him fully. My hooded jacket had covered my head but now it had fallen backwards revealing my hair and face. His face had me almost burst into laughter. His eyes looked from my hair to my skin and then to my eyes.

I might have forgotten to tell you but over the years, spiraling tattoos had appeared from the lower of my back and wrapped around my stomach and around my medium sized breasts, around my neck and behind my ears before they go over my cheek bones and line up under my eyes. They were a beautiful silver and grey color like my right eye but more see able against my skin.

"What..are you?" He asked letting his guard down. I took that as my chance and swung my legs around and under him throwing him backwards into the other wolves who had joined him on our chase.

I quickly stood and began to run again. As I turned my head to smirk in their direction, I ran into a wall. That's how all romance stories start. Right?

"Motherfuck-" I began to yell but was silenced when an arm went around my waist trapping me to the wall and wrapping another around my mouth.

"For a beautiful thing like you to cuss would destroy your innocence." A deep and seductive voice said above me.

I opened my closed eyes and stared up into bright green ones that sucked me into a trance. It was like only me and those eyes were the only thing and nothing else mattered.

I felt the hand from my mouth move away and trace my soft jawline where some of the tattoo layed. His tough, worked hands lightly gripped my chin lifting it up further giving my neck full view. He slowly lowered his head closing the space between us as he pulled me closer to him. My hands rested on his chiseled chest. His lips lightly touched mine making sparks erupt throughout my body. I shivered at it and sighed as he removed his hand and lightly traced the lines on my neck. The tattoo wrapped around like vines and I was glad that I had them for him to trace now.

His fingers rested on the side of my neck pushing lightly into a certain spot.

"Mate," He said so sweetly I wanted to melt under his gaze. His eyes suddenly became a shade darker as he looked down at me. "I'm sorry. Forgive me when you awake." He whispered. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and was about to ask what he was talking about when I felt cold silver dig straight into my neck. I felt pressure as the liquids went into my blood stream and quickly began to shut everything down in my system.

Before my eyes closed, I said something that made his face break and glare at me at the same time. "I fucking hate you."
