1 Unbelievably Wet

NEVER ever had slipped inside Selene Benzaiten's mind to visit Garden of Blossoms after fourteen years. But then, her feet brought her to the place, where flash of her childhood memories clouded her mind. She wanted to slap herself as she realized what she did. Well, it was too late to turn back since she was already there.

Selene was welcomed by the sweet scent and comfy presence of nature. The garden she once stayed grew more than she thought. The sound of mixed chirping birds and buzzing bees are like music to her ears. The dancing leaves of each tall trees and shrubs, frolicked through the whistling cold, but not that shivering air. She was amazed on how the garden enormously transformed as she returned after fourteen years.

It was afternoon and the sun was shining too brightly, yet the hotness it brought doesn't have an effect to her feeling. Selene wanted to regret the time she didn't even visit this very nice scenery. All was wasted by nothing because of her thoughtlessness.

Soon, as she reached the riverside that flows within the garden, her eyes started to fill with tears. The sound of rapid streams of water as she heard its rhythm to her ears, a bittersweet memory came up inside her mind. Selene quickly kneeled, not reminding the grime and muddy ground then stretched her hand to feel the splashing water beyond her skin. Her insides began to quiver as the coldness of the water eventually made her shiver, specifically down her spine.

"Hello again, my pal." Selene smiled as she greeted the peaceful aquatic remedy. She treated it as her pal since it was the only thing that accompany her in times of her loss and sadness. Figuratively speaking, the sound of water pacifies the melancholic sensation inside her heart every time she was alone.

Delighted by the charm of nature, Selene thought of something she will surely enjoy. While reminiscing the past, she brought out her old pink notebook, that serves as her diary, everyday and anytime. But to her surprise, the notebook slipped from her hand and it fell on the water.

"Oh no!" panicking, she left her bag on the ground and hurriedly jumped into the river, not thinking of the possibility that she might get hurt and drown. At first, she managed to fight the rapid streams but later on, she was being swallowed by its large waves. Thinking about her diary, she let herself forced to swim so that she could get it as it floats. She was able to catch it, not realizing that she was already at the danger zone of the river. Unluckily, large waves consumed her body and she began to drown.

"H-Help!" Selene struggled as she strained herself to breathe above the water. Fear engulfed her as she grasped the reality that she will die and her life was already at the verge of death. She swayed her hands from the water even though she was lacking out of oxygen. "H-Help!" hope doesn't have any space into her mind as she lost her strength.

Just as Selene commenced to sank in the water, with her eyes blurry and her body weakened, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist and she could feel something warm pressed against her as it carried her up. The next thing she knew, her body was lying on the ground, and she was having a difficulty in taking a breath.

"Thank goodness, I got you on time."

Instead of examining herself first, Selene chose to look around as she gathered her strength. She was startled when she heard a manly voice. Her mind was occupied with many doubts and probability because he might be a stranger yet she turned to face the man who saved her life. Selene's eyes widened when she recognized her hero…the one she's been waiting for a very long time.

"R-Reiji?"

"Hello, my Selene. I can't believe after so many years, we're both unbelievably wet…again."
