" Dad, can you please go alone? I don't like to go to these trivial parties" Kat urged her father, hoping he'll let her off this time. Kat didn't have a genuine feeling about this party.

"My darling listen to dad, please, If you don't like it there, I promise, I'll bring you back as soon as you say the word."

Sensing how my father was rather adamant about the party I figured it's going to be another one of those blind dates. I have to attend them often nowadays because of my father. I am rather bad at saying no to him. He's such a sweetheart. After mom left we started relying on each other more and more. This was the only reason why we both could move on with our lives.

"You're embarrassing me, dad. " Kat was rather delighted when her father complimented her. She enjoyed the feeling of her father showering her with compliments.

A lady in a white dress could be seen coming out of Maserati, the scene was so mesmerizing the journalists couldn't take her eyes off her. Asking around about who she is they made quite a commotion.

" nobody could fathom how this was possible especially after how there had been no news of him dating anybody.

All this while Kat stood there gawking him. Thinking to herself "Who is he? and what is he blabbering about? "

Kat seemed dumbfounded. She knew her father wouldn't have said yes if it wasn't in her favor. Yet she couldn't process, how Nat just went out in public and announced. It wasn't polite at all in her eyes.

" Hello Kat, I'm your fiance. " She waited for him to say something more.

"This isn't helping. " she said with a bewildered expression on her face." She looked like a cute Lil mouse making Nat laugh.

"The thing is I saw you at Marriane's marriage. Believe it or not, I fell in love with you at first sight. I didn't believe in it but you changed my mind. There you were laughing and smiling with your friends like a ray of sunshine. I couldn't take my eyes off you. Then I read about how you created your business from the ground up at 19. You weren't hard to track down. I got to know your father was looking for a marriage alliance. After that it was easy I asked my father to extend my earnest request and your father, fortunately, said yes.

"Wow, it seems like a fairytale. Nat, I have always believed in marriages but we don't know each other. Don't you think dating first should have been the first step? "Kat, I know you're ambitious and a good person by heart. That's all I need. We have a lot of time on our hands. We won't get engaged until you say."

Kat blushed making her cheek flush. Nat loved how adorable she looked and kissed her on the cheek. It felt so soft. Lighter than a breeze.
