5 Good husband

Lucas Ashford's point of view

"Mr.Ashford, Did something happened to Mrs.Ashford?"The doctor asked me

"She suddenly shouted and got scared and lost conciousness."

"Did you guys fought over something? that might forcibly trigger her?" The doctor asked.

I clenched my fist and kept myself shut because I'm embarrassed to say anything

"Alas *sigh* Mr.Ashford please avoid triggering Mrs. as much as possible. She cannot take much stress as she usually do. Please take care of Mrs. or I cannot do anything if something bad happens to her again."The doctor said and left the room

I looked at Luna who is lying in the bed unconscious.

She look pale and thinner. It seems like our marriage only ruined her.

Luna, What really happened?

at some point.. I feel like I've wronged you.

I walked into her and touched her cheeks trying to comfort her in her sleep.

Come to think of it, We never really treated each other as husband and wife ever since we got married.

We always fight and our marriage seems like nothing but an empty shell that only existed for bussiness.

I never really cared about her.

"Mr.Ashford, you have a meeting soon would you like to go now?" My assistant asked.

"No need, cancel it for now, I have to rest." I said and straightly went to my study.

I read some bussiness documents and suddenly someone came knocking at the door.

"Come in." I just said.

I saw my son Lewis looking down

"Hey, What's wrong? Are you alright? Did your mommy do anything to you again?" I asked worriedly and carried him to sit in a chair

"No daddy. Mommy did not do anything. It was my fault. I need to tell you something." Lewis said while looking serious

I stood in front of him and ready myself to listen to him.

Suddenly, Lewis started crying so I froze and couldn't do anything

"It wasn't mommy's fault. I was telling her about Granny's incident and I cried by my own she did not do anything to me." Lewis said and kept crying and crying

"Why would you tell your mommy about that? You know she cannot remember anything yet and it would be bad for her." I scolded him trying to be calm as possible.

"Do you remember the incident on our family gathering? When aunty Lisa's daughter Lilly got hurt and had bruises it wasn't mommy's fault." Lewis shouted.

I froze for a second and couldn't say anything as guilt came rushing to me

"The girl that grandma brought hurt Lilly. I saw her doing it. She told me that if I told you and granny that it was her who did it, Granny and you will kick me out with my house and me and mommy will live alone." Lewis cried

I felt the anger rush through me I can feel the rage. how can I not believe my own wife.

"Mommy did not do anything -*Cries*" -Lewis

"Why did you frame your mom then?"I angrily asked him

"Because that woman said if I said it was mommy you will not get angry because you love mommy very much." Lewis said while crying out loud.

I messed up.. It is too late now. I misjudged my wife again. I chose to believe others and I refused to listen to her. How can I be so useless.

"Stop crying and go back to your room." I commanded

Lewis wiped his tears and went back to his room

How can I be so stupid and not trust my wife.

I instantly called my secretary

"Hurry and look for the person who went into our family gathering with my mother" I ordered and hanged up the phone.

How can I make it up to her..

A few days had passed

I went down to go for a jogging and I saw Luna and Lewis in their sport attire.

"Daddy! Are you going to exercise too? Come with me and mommy!" Lewis said with a very bright smile.

I looked at Luna but she is looking away and she looked uncomfortable, She couldn't even looked me in the eye..

"Ok, I will go with you." I said and Luna seemed to be startled but still refused to look at me

Lewis, Me and Luna jogged and after 30 minutes of jogging we reached the park We stopped there since Lewis insisted to play

"Mommy please let's play there!" Lewis begged.

"Oh, Uhh- this... I think you should ask your dad." Luna said and looked at me. She is still looking nervous

"Let's stay here for a while." I said coldly. Maybe if I act coldly she will feel a little comfortable.

Lewis went to the swing meanwhile me and Luna sat on the bench and watched him play.

" How are you getting along these days?" I plainly asked her.

"Oh, You mean me and Lewis? We are doing pretty well together." She said while looking at Lewis with a smile.

"How about your environment? Are you adjusting well?" I asked again.

" *nods* yes, Everyone treats me nice. but-- I'm sorry." Luna said while looking down

"Why are you sorry?" I frowned and asked her

" I woke up with a husband and a son, I'm very much confused that is why I'm sorry if I don't treat you the way I used to."Luna said trying to hide her red face.

I giggled and sighed.

"It is alright, You don't have to force yourself. As long as you're nice with our son. It is okay to me." I answered

Lewis came rushing to us.

"Mommy! Daddy! I want Ice cream!! Please let's go to the grocery!" Lewis whined.

suddenly my phone rang and I had to answer it. I put it in loud speaker since the park is a bit noisy because the vehicles are passing the highway.

Me: Secretary Clinton What's up?

SC: Mr.Ashford, You have works to do should I pick you up now?

"Daddy! Please accompany me and mommy to the grocery!"Lewis whined

"Lewis, Do not bother your Daddy when he is on the phone" Luna said and calmly lectured Lewis.

"If mommy got stolen by another guy or got bullied don't blame me." Lewis said while pouting.

I suddenly felt a strange feeling

Me:Clinton cancel all my works today. I'll spend time with my wife and son.

SC:O-Okay boss.

*ends call*

"Is it okay to cancel your work? It seems like it is improtant." Luna asked worriedly.

She is worried.. she looks so cute..

"You and Lewis is more important to me." I answered and looked at Luna straight in the eye.

her faced turned red so she hid it.

" Yayyyy!!" Lewis shouted excitedly

"Let's go." I said and led the way.
