1 Curse

"I promise you."

"I will stay by your side forever."

"I will always be by your side."

"Trust me."

These words are lingering in my ears, Like a curse that won't be broken. I was such a fool to believe those words.

"You're so ruthless Selene! You pushed my mother to the stairs and even framed Rina for it! YOU'RE SO RUTHLESS!!" Liam shouted.

His voice sound so different I almost did not recognized him. The sweet boy who used to whisper me sweet words is now gone.

No matter what I say, no matter what I do. I will always end up being the villain. He would only see Rina as her innocent angel.

It doesn't matter anymore. I'm good as dead.

Liam held my chin up and he look straight in my eyes.

"I can't believe I trusted a woman like you! How can you go so far to even put my mother in danger!" Liam said his eyes are looking at me differently. He is not the Liam I knew anymore. Liam would never look at me as if I am a monster.

Liam suddenly put pressure on my cheek while looking at me in a murderous way.

"Why won't you ever believe me?" I whispered and did not expect for him to hear it.

"Believe? You expect me to believe your lies?! My mom said it herself before she went to critical state!! You pushed her! If it weren't for Rina she would've died now!" Liam said and continuously puts pressure in my cheek.

"You know what? You're right. You're good as dead." Liam looked at me with his murderous eyes while smiling like a psycho.

How can this happen to me..

How can the man I love be so ruthless to me.

I did not do anything but he always choose not to believe me.

"Sure." I said in a low tone of voice.

"What did you say B****?!" Liam shouted and kicked my stomach.

"I SAID SURE!!" I shouted

He froze when I shouted. I can't help but let my tears fall down as I realize my end.

"Since you said I'm good as dead, Then I'll die." The Perfect innocent Selene is gone now. I no longer remember how I used to be.

"I was dead long ago, I was dead since I believed your words without even noticing I was dying." The sweet woman who used to laugh and be happy is no longer here.

That's right. I'm ruthless, since that is what he choose to believe. No matter what I do it doesn't matter anymore. For him, I am nothing but an evil person. Whatever is my action, he would never believe me.

" I will make sure you will live your life as hell!! and don't even think of getting a support from me! You can just go to hell with your family!" Liam shouted.

My whole body froze as if the heavens has denied me. I couldn't do anything but kneel down in front of Liam and beg him for mercy.

"Liam... You can't do that! Please have mercy with my family!" I begged and lowered my head almost kissing the floor.

Liam just stood there and kicked my face so I got knocked back.

He is no longer the person I know.

"You're so ruthless. I would never forgive you Selene, In this life or next life. I'll make your life a hell." He said and turned his back on me.

The heavy rain fell and the sky roared continuously. As if it is representing the Deity's anger.

Selene couldn't do anything but freeze and realize the consequences of loving a man.

Selene always loved Liam, Liam used to be a sweet boy who treats Selene with passion, but when Rina (Selene's cousin) appeared. Everything went into a mess. As if Rina was sent to wreck her life intentionally.

Selene treated Rina as her own sister but Rina still chose to wreck her life.

Rina stole everything from Selene. Her Wealth, Husband and even Selene herself.

Rina destroyed her completely.

A few days had passed but the sky is still as dark as the void and the thunder is still roaring.

Selene decided to visit her sick mom to the hospital.

She walked 10 miles to get to the hospital because she does not have a money and Liam refused to help her.

She walked and ran barefooted 10 miles to the hospital. She is soaking wet and her dress is all dirty.

She catch her breath and tried to talk to the doctor of her mother only to hear the news that would shatter her tiny bit of hope

"I'm very sorry Ms.Selene. Your mom did not make it. I asked Mr.Liam to assign her to the private room and get a personal doctor so she could be taken care of but Mr.Liam refused.

Madam did not make it."The doctor said while looking down..

Selene's body froze a cold pain shot her body like a bullet.

The tiny bit of hope she had has fading. She is like a candle that can't be lit up again. The doctor led her to the morgue to see her mother.

The doctor lift the cover up. Selene saw the cold body of her beloved with no sign of life.

She lost her mother without even getting to say goodbye.

She slowly held her mother's hands as her tears started to flow.

"Mother, What do I do now?" She cried out loud.

"I cannot keep living anymore." She cried and slowly put her mother's hand down.

an idea is striking her mind.

"I'll follow you to the afterlife mother. I will follow you." She mumbled and put the cover on again and ran away from her mother's corpse.
