11 11: Request

Luna's POV

Lewis got tired after playing with his Granny so He is sleeping in the car. Since I left him with Kindred I feel at ease.

We did not head home immediately instead We went to Lucas's company

It is 10:00pm and luckily most of the people are gone now. I don't know where his office is so I went to the receptionist to ask for him.

I saw a cute girl with glasses, Her face is so cute that she had me like a statue for a second.

"Excuse me, ma'am! How can I help you?"She asked with a smile.

"Oh, Uh.. Sorry, I came here for Lucas Ashford. Do you know where he is?" I asked with a smile.

"Oh, Mr.Ashford should be ready to go home now, Do you have an appointment?" She kindly asked and looked at the computer with panic

"Oh, Sorry.. I don't. But tell him it is Luna." -Me

"Sorry ma'am, I cannot do that. His secretary said that if there is no appointment, We cannot call Mr.Ashford" She said still panicking.

"Just call him, just say my name and he will recognize me."I said with a smile.

I read her actions she looked kinda scared and hesitated for a bit. But she called him anyway..

As she answered the phone she closed her eyes waiting for the worst. But breathe out of relief when she realized I am ok to go to Lucas.

"Sorry to keep you waiting ma'am, You may go to Mr.Ashford's office it is in ******" She said nervously.

She is really cute. Somehow, she makes me want to protect her >,<

I went to Lucas's offices and peeked in the window to see if he is inside but I cannot see anything.

For some reason I'm nervous.. I cannot even knock at the door.

"Who are you?" Someone shouted. It is a girl wearing sexy attire, not gonna lie she is so pretty and curvy!!!

I almost jumped out because I got so scared luckily I didn't or I could've fell to the plant beside the door.

"I came here for Lucas." I said with a smile.

The girl looked at me head to toe as if I was an ant.

(OML please don't look at me like that princess T^T)

"Do you have an appointment?" She asked with a trace of annoyance in her voice.

I stopped smiling because I felt a little offended with her tone of voice but I decided to talk calmly.

"I already called him. He said to let me in." I said with a smile and knocked on the door.

After knocking on the door, The door immediately opened like a split second away from my third knock.

I saw Lucas standin the the door, with his straight face.

"I brought you some foods. I need to talk to you, Can I come in?" I asked and gave him the food I bought.

"Hmm." He nodded and took the food in my hand.

The sexy woman followed us inside.

"Mr.Lucas, here are your files. I also brought you Sushi and coffee." She said and take out the food in the plastic.

Ughh, Why do I feel like someone is going to hate me.

"No need, You should eat that. I have my food." Lucas said and looked at the food as if it is a live worm.

"Oh, I also bought mine, You should have this!" The girl said and pushed the food toward Lucas a little, but Lucas moved away an inch from the food.

"Uhh Miss, Lucas does not like eating raw fish." I said awkwardly

I just can't stand it. Lucas looks like a pitiful ant trying to avoid his predator.. Ughhh I shouldn't have spoken.

"Oh.. Sorry." The girl said and took away the food from Lucas.

"Btw Mr.Ashford there is a file that Mr.Reese told me to explain to you here is it.." The girl said and walked next to Lucas.

They are very close and I'm kinda piss off for some reason but I stayed quiet since it is worktime for him

She went closer to Lucas Almost making their face close to each other.

"Can you stay away from me please?"Lucas said with a trace of annoyance in his voice and face.

"Your perfume is polluting the oxygen." He said and slide his chair away from the girl.

"I can read, You don't have to tell me. You may go now."Lucas said in a cold tone of voice.

The girl did not say anything. I was looking at her and she glared at me. It send shivers down my spine but I chose to ignore it.

"Uhh, Who is that girl?" I asked Lucas.

He stopped for a moment and smiled.

"Why did you ask?" He said with a naughty smirk in his face.

"Nothing, I find her attractive." I said with a straight face.

He looked a little unhappy after hearing my answer.

"She is just a replacement since my secretary cannot come here. Mr.Reese reccomended that girl just for today." He said with unenergetic voice.

I just nodded three times to let him know I'm listening.

"Oh, right! before I forget! Can you invite your Mother, Father and cousin Lisa tomorrow?" I asked with a bright smile.

After all bright smile can get you anything

"Why?" He asked and opened the food I bought for him.

"I will cook for them tomorrow." I said awkwardly and looked down

"Oh, No worries. Is it going to be a dinner or lunch?" He asked and started eating

"I think dinner is more convinient for them. So let's invite them for dinner." I answered

"Hmm, Are you sure you want to cook for them? I mean, We can just eat out." He suggested.

"I know that, but we must invite them for dinner." I said with a trace of panic in my voice.

"Well, Why the sudden invitation?" He asked while munching his food.

I sighed for a few times and I finally told him.

"Great Granny Marionette told me to cook for her and invite the family for a little family gathering. She also told me to not tell anyone. T^T" -Me

"You went to granny?" He asked as his eyes widened.

"Yes, Can't I? I mean.. I figured he would like to meet Lewis since he hasn't been at our place for a long time." I said.

He paused for a while but nodded

"You can't tell them that she is coming. She said she wanted to surprise them. I am afraid that If I tell them and we got caught Granny would think I don't keep my word.." I said worriedly.

"Don't worry about it. Leave it to me." He said with a little smile.

"Then, I'll go home first now. Lewis is sleeping in the car with Kindred I'm afraid he would feel uncomfortable since he is just lying in the seat." I said and stood up to say goodbye.

When I was about to leave, Lucas held my wrist to stop me.

I looked at him with confusion but he looks serious so I automatically sat back down.

"Let's go home together. I will get off my work now anyway." He said and let go of my hands.

I waited for him tidy his desk and took his things. He took his coat and bag and got ready to leave.

He locked his door and put the keys in his bag.

When we were walking away from his office he suddenly held my hand which caught me off guard.

I looked at him with confusion but I did not dare to brush him off

"What are you looking at?" He asked but he is not looking at me.

"Oh I.. Is it okay to let them see us holding hands?" I asked awkwardly.

He stopped and looked at me with a warm but deep gaze.

"What do you mean? Is it bad to let them see that I'm holding my wife's hand?" He asked. slightly annoyed.

I did not speak anymore and chose to look away because I can feel my face getting red.

We got in the elevator and I saw someone shouting

"Wait please!" The girl shouted from a little far away holding 2 boxes on top of each other.

I immediately stopped the door from closing and wait for her to come in.

It turns out it was the receptionist girl.

"Oh.. I-I.. Uhm... I'll take the next one." She panicked

"It's alright, come in." I asked her to do so. I was gonna help her but Lucas don't want to let go of my hand.

"Good evening Mr.President, Good evening madame." She greeted us

"Good evening."I greeted her with a warm smile.

"Why are you carrying all of that? aren't you the receptionist?" I asked.

Well, as far as I know it is not her job to carry those boxes.

"Uhh, My senior asked me for a little favor and I decided to do it." She said with an awkward smile.

She got off the second floor. I watched her struggle but I cannot do anything. Lucas kept quiet the whole time.

I just sighed and let the elevator go to the exit so we can just go home.

Lucas said he wanted to drive so Kindred sat next to Lewis who is still sleeping and I sat next to Lucas.
