1 Prologue

I broke a witch's heart over something as stupid as being different that she ruined my life. To live forever alone on an island, too far from land to escape such fate, to live within endless time to change into the one thing that lies within me.

A hundred years and time hasn't aged me any but brought the monster within me to the surface. No longer shrouded in the appearance of humanity, now I understand why she called me monstrous when I left her.

And in all the years I lived before that moment, the truth all must have thought about me was in that moment, within her words... I am a beast. I'm a monster.
