A month has passed, Chase has finished following all the steps concerning the Control of Spirit Energy. Chase is currently sitting on a flat rock in the middle of a river in a forest, he is currently meditating. The birds that's chirping, the trees that's swaying side by side, the rustle of the grasses in the surroundings, none of them affects Chase's concentration, maybe this is a result of his training. Chase who was sitting crossed legged slowly lifted his hands that was resting on his knees, as if the flow of water, his hands swayed swiftly and smoothly, he then put both of his palm together.

"Okay!"

Chase opened his eyes, he clearly looks satisfied by the results of his training. His control on his Spirit Energy has already reached an unbelievable level, the circulation of his Spirit Energy has become a lot smoothly. Chase who was still sitting was looking at his hands, he then swiftly punched an empty space, the air trembled, the flowing of river created ripple with Chase in the middle.

"Hmm... I don't feel any numbing sensation, no fatigue either. The strength of my body has improved greatly, there's no disruption on the flow of Spirit Energy."

Feeling the smooth flow of the Spirit Energy within him, Chase nodded in satisfaction, his everday training wasn't in vain. Now he can feel the Spirit Energy surrounding him without the need to meditate, his senses has also been enhanced, he can feel all the presence surrounding him.

"Now I have a chance to pass the entrance exam that will be held tomorrow, I only need to take a rest now."

Chase who has improved confidently said, he then jumped up towards the other side of the river, and then left river.

"I wonder what father is doing? I hope he doesn't overwork himself."

His father is still working as a farmer for the Family, though he gets paid it was barely sufficient for them to get by everyday, so he's worried that his father might be over doing it. As Chase leave the forest, he noticed that something was following him. Since his senses has been enhanced, he can now feel the presence in his surrounding without meditating, so he immediately noticed that someone is following him. Chase jumped away to distance himself, he then saw a round Portal with Rabbit ears sticking out.

"Hey, I can see you."

The rabbit ears twitched, then a Portal Rabbit popped out. The Portal Rabbit has a white fur, though their appearance is similar to a normal rabbit, they have a Portal Skill which let them shorten distance. The Portal Rabbit hopped little by little towards Chase.

"Wait, you were the Portal Rabbit that time, right?"

Nod nod, the Portal Rabbit nodded to Chase's question. Last month, the day when Chase learned that he can finally cultivate, he found a Portal Rabbit, though he thought it was some kind of beast.

"Wait, you can understand me? I've never heard a Spirit Animal that understand Human Language though."

Chase only knew that except for the Portal Skill, a Portal Rabbit is no different than a normal rabbit so obviously it shouldn't be able to understand words.

"Now that I look closely, why is there a gem on your forehead?"

Chase touched the Gem on the forehead of the rabbit, why is there a gem on a Portal Rabbit's forehead, Chase thought curiously. As soon as his finger touched the gem, bright light shone illuminating the surrounding trees, blinding Chase's vision for a moment. When the light dissipated, Chase's vision gradually cleared only to find himself surrounded by rocks.

"What...the hell is this? "

Chase asked, he was just in the forest a moment ago then he find himself in an unknown place, what the hell is happening, Chase thought. Chase surveyed the surrounding, there's only rocks in his field of vision, the only thing illuminating the surrounding is...

'Squeak'

Chase heard a sound, he then looked down. The Portal Rabbit is still there, Chase noticed that the gem is slightly emitting light, though it wasn't as bright as the light earlier, it's still sufficient to illuminate this dark cave.

"Are you the cause of this? or Is this because of the gem in your forehead?"

Chase asked the Portal Rabbit, this Portal Rabbit is strange in many ways, it can understand human words and it has a gem on his forehead, it won't be strange that it's the cause of why they're here.

'...Squeak'

"Squeak? What the hell does that mean? Is it a Yes or a No? "

How the hell was Chase suppose to know what that means, he's not a Rabbit, you know. As Chase ponders, the Portal Rabbit hopped away deeper in to the cave.

'Squeak'

The Portal Rabbit paused it's hopping then squeaked to Chase, it then continued hopping.

"Do you want me to follow you?"

Chase thought that if the Portal Rabbit is the cause of why he's here, then it might be the key to get out of here. Having a peerless mind, Chase calmly analyzed the situation, since the Portal Rabbit's gem is the only light here, then it's much wiser to stay close to it since he won't get anywhere without light. Chase then followed the Portal Rabbit.

"Hmm... there's only rocks here, just where the hell are you guiding me?"

It's been a while since Chase started following the Portal Rabbit, they should be there right now but there's nothing to be found here except rocks and rocks... and also some pebbles. The Portal Rabbit ignored Chase's question, it just continued hopping without rest.

"There's no sign of an exit, how am I supposed to get out of here? Tomorrow is the Exam, if I don't get back immediately, I might miss it. Father has sacrifice so much, I can't let myself fail."

Chase frustatedly said, his father made a huge sacrifice just so he could enroll Chase in the most prestigious Academy in the country. If Chase don't get out of here immediately, then he might as well kill himself than to fail his father.

'Squeak'

After a long time of silence, the Portal Rabbit finally made a noise and stopped hopping. They are currently in a wide and bright area of the cave. Chase looked around, piles of shining golds, silvers and jewels are scattered on the floor, there's also swords that's sticking out, at the center of the place was something that looks like an old Throne Chair, something a king would sit on. Chase walked towards the old Throne Chair, since it was old, cracks are visible and spider webs can be seen anywhere, thick dust was also covering the Throne Chair but those are not the things that catched Chase's attention, on the chair, a Skeleton wearing a White Robe and a Gold Crown is sitting there lifeless.

"This is...Is this a King's remain?"

Chase was already in front of the Skeleton that's sitting on the Throne Chair, looking closely spiders and centipedes were going in and out of the skeleton's skull, cracks on the bones were also visible, but there's one thing on the Skeleton that's seems to have not aged. Looking at the skeleton's right hand, it was holding an Orb that seems to change color every moment, black, white, yellow, red, blue, every second without fail it changes.

"What's this Orb?"

Chase looked at the Orb curiously, the color changing seems to amaze Chase, he then flicked the Orb with his finger...there's no reaction.

"Hmm...It seems to be harmless. "

Chase controlled his Spirit Energy, he directed it to his middle finger and with force, Chase flicked the Orb again.

Thud.

The sound of the impact echoed inside the cave, though Chase flicked it with force, it did not react or did anything, seems to be really harmless.

"Maybe, it's just a decoration. I'll have this and gift it to father, he will surely be amaze by the changing color of this Orb. "

Chase grabbed the Orb and tried to pull it.

"Hmph! Hmph! It won't budge?"

Chase tried to pull out the Orb from the skeleton's hand, but failed. With Chase's current physical strength he could smash a tree down with his fist, so with that strength, pulling off this Orb from an old skeleton hand should be a piece of cake.

"So, you won't budge? Okay, let's see if this won't affect you."

Chase positioned himself then controlled his Spirit Energy, he circulated it in both his hands and feet. Chase is serious, this is a challenge for him since he can test if his training has really beared fruit. If pulling off an Orb from a some old skeleton hand is impossible for him, then even smashing a tree won't mean a thing. Chase slowly grabbed the Orb with both his hands, he tightly gripped the Orb, so tight that the Orb might break, he then positioned his feet to support his body, and with full strength, Chase used all of his Spirit Energy to pull off the Orb from the skeleton's hand.

"Nnnnnnn!!!!"

Nerves in Chase's hands and face can be seen, he's giving his all just to pull off an Orb, the ground started to tremble.

"YOU. ARE. GOING. TO. BUDGEEEEEE!!!! "

Chase used the last dropped of Spirit Energy within him, and used all his strength to the limit just to pull this Orb. Crack, crack, a sound of cracks can be heard.

"Just a bit more!"

Chase whose slowly weakening gathered his strength again, his will is the only thing that's keeping him from releasing his gripped on the Orb. As Chase was about to completely use all the strength that's keeping him awake, a squeak was heard.

'Squeak'

It was the Portal Rabbit that squeaked, it then hopped towards the Orb. Chase's hands that's currently holding the Orb has reached it's limit, he subconciously released his gripped on the Orb.

'Squeak'

The Portal Rabbit, with both it's short fluffy paw, it held the Orb, looks like it want's to try pulling it off too.

"Hehe, stop it. It's beyond you."

Chase who guessed what the Portal Rabbit was trying to do, laughed. Even for me it's impossible, Chase thought.

'Squeak'

A bright light flashed for a second, then 'Crack', a sound of breaking resounded in the entire cave, it was much more louder that the cracking sounds made when Chase was pulling the Orb off. Chase looked at the Portal Rabbit, as he look, his eyes suddenly widened in shock.

"Eh? .. Ah... How did y- eh? wh- WHHHHAAAAATTTT!?!!? "

That's was the time that Chase finally used the very last spurt of Spirit Energy within him.
