The Cold And The Hot

As Ryuma was distracted by the cold on his body, a great force hit Ryuma in the face. Ryuma stands up after getting punched in his face and tries to close his distance towards Tenko. But the closer he gets to her, the cooler it gets. 

("Shit... What the hell is happening right now?!") Ryuma's body is cold all over as he gets closer to Tenko. But the weirdest part is that the cold isn't coming from outside such a wind breeze. It's coming from inside his body.

The next thing happens is Tenko gives an uppercut to Ryuma but Ryuma can't move freely because of the cold. Instead, he blocks it to reduce the damage gain. The uppercut sends Ryuma above colliding with the ceiling and got a backkick as he falls. Colliding with the walls.

When Ryuma gets up he realizes one thing. The cold is reduced as he gets further from Tenko. Ryuma thinking...

("Perhaps that's her Unique? If that's what it is then I'll have to come up with a solution against that ability.") Ryuma runs away from Tenko. Ryuma's action makes Tenko dumbfounded. And then, veins popped out from her head.

"Oi... DON'T YOU RUN AWAY FROM ME COWARD!!!" Tenko chases after Ryuma. The two keep running circling the floor, room after room. Until Ryuma managed to lose Tenko as he looked at his back. But Tenko had another idea.

That's it to ambush him through the wall. Tenko crushed the wall near Ryuma but as she was about to charge him...

"Haha! I've managed to track you from the smell alone! You can't run away from me-" Ryuma too, had an even better idea. As if he could see the future, he punched Tenko in the face once more as she broke the wall.

"You might have a strong predator instinct that allows you to smell me. But your ability gives away your position and lets me track you instead." Said Ryuma with a cold breeze air coming out from his mouth as he spoke. 

The punch makes Tenko lie on the floor. That indicates that Tenko's energy was almost at its limit. Regardless of that, Ryuma knew he couldn't let his guard down yet so he started using Fingshot. Tenko gets hit by a stone as she gets up but the damage is unfazed. 

("Her skin is harder than a rock. But my strike is working against her. Everything can go my way except she's a masochist.") As Tenko gets up, she digs a stone on the rock and throws a stone-sized football at Ryuma. Ryuma is caught off guard but blocks the rock. But somehow he feels pain from the skin that the rock hits.

("It's hurt... What is this? This is...") At the same time, Tenko charged at Ryuma at full speed. Ryuma could only manage to evade it using his hand as Tenko rammed into another wall. Tenko took a deep breath and then walked forward at Ryuma.

("What is she trying to do? ... Wait... Why is it so hot right now?!") A new unpleasant feeling gets to him, and he doesn't realize that Tenko is attacking him. Ryuma got hit across the room. But at the same time, Ryuma learned another thing.

("Her hands are cold now. I can tell it from the hit I got.") As Tenko tries to attack Ryuma he counterattacks by hits faster than Tenko attacks him. To the next punch. And then to the next. Ryuma finally grasped Tenko's fighting Unique.

"Your Unique is the type to cast a temperature to opponents from the inside. But it needs a certain requirement. The requirement to cast the ability upon its target. And condition to use it. When I feel cold, my body has the opposite temperature as feeling hot."

Ryuma shows his burned skin at the part Tenko hit him on. 

"Hehe, you're right but at the same time don't. Tenko doesn't know anything about Unique. And Tenko doesn't know how my Unique works. But Tenko knows one thing, and that's Tenko just needs to touch my target for it to activate." Saying that, Tenko throws a punch to Ryuma but he blocks it.

"When my body feels hot, that means my excitement gets higher. But when my body is cold, that means I'm hunting my prey." Tenko charged Ryuma forming a sword form with her finger. As she lifted her hand higher while charging at Ryuma, Ryuma tried to come close but realized that she was attacking from outside her range.

Ryuma's instinct saves him from getting sliced up by the wind slash.

("So she can use magic too?!") Despite missing her target, Tenko keeps casting multiple windslashes. Ryuma knew he couldn't come close so he kept on running while evading the wind slashes. Tenko stops casting her magic and keeps on chasing Ryuma. But the moment she passed the doorframe, Ryuma was jumped from above her. 

Ryuma tried to choke her neck with his leg while giving a good few hits on her skull. But Tenko doesn't let the situation go his way so she digs into Ryuma's thigh with her fingers as she grasp it tightly. Ryuma almost screamed in pain but he kept on hitting her skull. 

At the same time, Ryuma can feel himself higher and colliding with the ceiling and then to the floor. Tenko jumps to hit Ryuma using the environment but Tenko's weight causes them to destroy the floor, to the floor below.

The impact makes them lose their consciousness for a moment as they both lose their grip on each other. The first one to get up is Ryuma. But the next second he gets up Tenko too gets up from falling one floor. Tenko scratches her head a bit before getting up. Ryuma still feels hot in his body so he decided to create a conversation.

"You really do not go down, aren't you?"

"Go down? Why should Tenko go down? Tenko can still fight! Look!" Tenko moves her body around. Ryuma knew he had to put more effort into defeating this giant girl and smiled.

"Brutes like you make me remind of some pieces of shit who'd use fire as a last effort. He even sprays his fire toward his comrade. So I'm gonna ask you this Tenko. Are you one of those people?"

"Comrade? Tenko doesn't have a comrade. Back in the village, people hunt only for themself. Families hunting food for their children. But Tenko doesn't have a family. So when I'm still little I have to starve most of the time and eat nuts fall from the tree. So Ryuma, I only have little knowledge of what comrade is from teaming up with Rudy and the others so... What is comrade again?"

"I see, I'll teach you what comrade is. And I'm not gonna hold back either." Ryuma takes something from inside his pocket. It's a gadget from Rudy that he'd been thinking of using earlier but decided to do it now. It was a pair of gloves. With this pair of gloves, will Ryuma be able to defeat this Oni girl?
