2 Chapter 1

'I wonder where I am?'

Leon bobbed and floated in the waters of a ginormous lake; mere metres below him swam thousands of tiny fishes, each decorated with bright and alluring colours. But he could see they were just a cover, beneath them lay a strange and enormous monster with a maw the width of a room; he didn't plan to interfer with it, but he wasn't exactly happy about it spoiling the view.

Splish!

Drawing his hand through the water Leon idly created a few whirlpools, they didn't do much but wouldn't disappear unless he said so. It was a very lax display of power and Leon found it very much his style. He wasn't a fan of meaningless showing off, but couldn't deny that he enjoyed showing who the boss really was.

Shwish!

On the edge of the lake a large bird had swooped down and grabbed an unsuspecting meal, the foolish aquatic creature had left the safety of its shoal and wandered alone in the lake. Leon watched this all happen, but didn't make any moves other then adding a new whirlpool to his collection. He was hoping that something interesting would turn up, that way he'd have a free guide and not be forced to walk blindly or use some of his power to find something to do.

Lady Luck didn't smile upon him and many hours after later he was still floating around; he wasn't unhappy though, in fact he was enjoying the peace and quiet.

In his last life he'd been a very basic teenager, he studied, he hung out and then he studied some more. It wasn't a bad life, but when compared to ultimate power, it fell short. As for the reason of his death...he had no idea; all he remembered was walking along and then BAM - blackness.

Splish!

Leon threw another whirlpool into the pile, by now there were over a hundred of them and the colorful fish below had been forced to dive deeper. Even the strange giant mouth creature was fighting to keep itself hooked into the lake bed.

But even as the whirlpools overpowered the creature's limbs, there was still no sign of people; or anything in fact! The fact that he could be the only intelligent creature in this world suddenly dawned on him.

Leon's brow furrowed, "Guess I'll have to break my no powers rule then."

Moments later he started to laugh, "Of all the places, I managed to teleport into an secret realm!"

Secret realms were not uncommon, they could be easily created provided you had a high enough strength level and a bit of know how in the subject; storage rings and the like were all made with a similar principle.

By chance Leon had ended up in the secret realm of a forgotten sect, the lake he'd been lying in was actually a great treasure left behind by a powerful ancestor.

"Well that certainly solves a problem." Standing up on the lake, Leon erased the whirlpools and walked towards the entrance. According to the solar calendar the realm wouldn't open for another hundred or so years, but he didn't plan to stay put till then.

BANG!!!

Hundreds of kilometres under the sea a human sized rift suddenly appeared, but when the water tried to rush in it was repelled by an invisible barrier.

The cause was of course Leon ripping open the realm and moments later he felt a powerful presence approaching at incredible speed.

'HUMAN! HOW DARE YOU ENTER MY DOMAIN!'

Leon watched calmly as a humongous sea serpent drew closer; it was snarling in rage and he could feel it's horridly warm breath on his face.

"Bit rude aren't you know?"

Bang!

An unstoppable pressure slammed into the serpent, it was a miniscule part of his true aura, but the great beast quickly shook it off and responded with its own fearsome aura.

'HOW DARE YOU!!!'

Leon merely smiled.

'HOW...HOW IS IT STILL INCREASING!!! THIS CAN'T BE!'

Blood was seeping from the serpent's scales, it's once terrifying snarl was now filled with pain and embarrassment. It now knew that whatever thing it had attacked, was far far beyond its level.

"I suppose in this scenario I'm supposed to say I need a guide and you'll be it bla bla bla, then accidentally show of my omnipotencey etc."

'PLEASE I SHA-'

The serpents eyes suddenly grew dull and it's body ceased to move. Just like that a beast which could move mountains with its fury, had departed from the living world.

"Shame I don't like scripts." Leon waved his hand at the serpent, instantly breaking down the atomic bonds that held it together.

With his first encounter complete, Leon swam towards the surface, completely ignoring the fearful creatures hiding in the waves. They were no threat to him and meaningless killing left a bad taste in his mouth - of course there wasn't actually anything that could threaten him.

Light gradually filtered into his vision as the waters broke free of the depth's cold embrace, Leon even saw a couple dolphin like creatures flitting about. For a moment he thought about capturing one, but he doubted the creature would ever be the same if he did.

Yellow sand suddenly came into view and Leon threw away all signs of elegance.

"A beach? Oh yeah!"

Bursting through the water Leon materialised a deck chair, parasol and a 2 litre jug of pineapple and coconut juice.

"This is the life!" Flopped out in the deck chair Leon had a reality TV show playing and a glass of juice in his hand.

It wasn't a hard decision to put his other plans on halt, he'd always had an incredible talent on taking breaks, probably why he spent so long doing homework.

"What shall I eat then?"

Since arriving in this new world it was the first real decision he had to make, and it was a hard one.

'Steak...no, too heavy. How about chips...no. Hmm, a burger! No...aha!'

"Trout! I want steamed trout and boiled potatoes!"
