2 Chapter 2

<Boy!> = Albion speech

[Boy!] = Devil Arm Speech

"Boy!" = Normal Speech

"BOY!" = Stray Devil/Demonic/Beast Speach

Now, in every journey, the protagonist has to start from somewhere, and those kinds of people always have all kinds of different backgrounds, stories to tell and their own tests to take. However, it all depends on where they come from and how they are nurtured which decides how they'll end up.

Some are fortunate to have come from rich families with complex yet revered backgrounds, which allowed them to have stable foundations with high progression from the start, however this also resulted in them becoming quite… conceited, blind and arrogant to the true realities of the world. Most of their families would try to coddle them, spoil them rotten and try to teach them things 'their way' instead of giving them proper life experiences. As a result of this background, these people would turn out to be naive, shameless and truly pathetic beings who could only rely on some miserable levels of strength compared to the bigger, more powerful and influential players in the world.

Without conflict, there can be no progress, without progress there can be no history, without history there can be no culture, without culture there can be no civilization.

However, there were also those who start out with absolutely nothing, nothing but the clothes on their backs and the dreams in their hearts. These people, without ANY of the support that those from rich backgrounds, would go and face hardships one after another as if they were wrapped around their lives, restricting them like the chains of destiny. Some would falter and fall to those deadly chains, dying off and fading into the annals of history to be completely erased from the world at large. A horrible fate which would, unfortunately, be the result of many who tread upon this path and had the misfortune to end up with the shittiest of circumstances, most of those circumstances being brought out by some form of conflict, no matter if it were minor or a major one.

That doesn't mean that conflict was bad per say, actually it isn't always that case. In fact, psychologically it can be extremely positive. In reality, conflict exists as a natural and inevitable part of every relationship, and the only way to break free of a negative dynamic within a team is to confront it. Because most people fear conflict, they tend to engage in repressing their anger and frustration, avoid a person or people threatening the common ground or begin to placate these people in an effort to make tensions dissipate. These commonly used psychological strategies can lead to one's ruin due to the internal frustration boiling over to the point where it can't be contained anymore. Instead of internalizing or personalizing a bad situation, any person regardless of their background must learn at some point in their lives (the earlier the better) to manage conflict by externalizing it and facing the issues.

Vali's case...

"What do you mean I can't fly to the desert?!"

… is one of the latter backgrounds.

As Vali argued to Albion when he said he had to go to a freaking 'desert' by foot not using the wings of Divine dividing, the boy had a face full of outrage and anger as he walked along a pathway through the forest, lugging the Devil Arm known as [Gavenus] on his back. The sentient Demonic Devil Arm had attached itself to him there, and according to Albion he could dismiss and summon it at will, whereas if he dismissed it would go inside his very 'Soul' to wait for his next command. However, for some reason, the Dragon of which he had learned was the White Dragon Emperor, the Vanishing Dragon, Albion had told him not to do this. Worse, the Devil Arm seemed to agree with what the Dragon had intended, due to its weight seemingly getting heavier from out of nowhere… Sentient weapon indeed.

<It's because it would make you a bigger target, idiot. Do you want to be killed on short notice? Plus it would be good for your endurance training. Think of it similar to what humans have called 'cross country running'. Cross country has many benefits. Not only does it improve your potential in the athletic area, it also has many other benefits outside of sports. These include the following increased lung capacity, Weight Loss, Total Muscle Usage, immune system strength, personal development, well-rounded physical ability, reduced stress, Cardiovascular Health, Bone Strength, Discipline, Speed, Core Strength and lastly Leg Strength. Do not neglect Cross Country Running, boy, for this method is actually quite a good method of Training, one of the things humans have done right if you ask me.>

(I agree with what Albion says, if you fly at the sky, you would be a walking target to the supernatural, this world is a dog eat dog world boy, you'd be wise to learn to exercise extreme caution, for enemies can be here, there, behind you, behind that tree, …. or even perhaps under you. I also agree with the rest of what he said, Cross Country Training can do WONDERS for your stamina.)

"?!"

As soon as the boy heard that, Vali jumped and looked under where he was standing, turning behind him, and looking over the tree to see if there was anyone there. So far there wasn't anyone there that's for sure, Vali sighed in relief he didn't want to experience that the Devils were chasing him, it was the feeling that he would be almost close to death that he didn't want to experience again.

"I swear that you and Albion are going to get me killed early from this training…" he mumbled under his breath, letting his pounding heart slowly calm itself to a steady rhythm. For those whom had been confused about how calm and borderline nonchalant Vali had been in response to hearing the second voice in his head, here's the rundown: it had turned out that the Devil arm [Glavenus] can talk to him similar to what Albion does since it had bonded with him, tethering itself to his very soul. Vali had nearly gotten a heart attack when he had first heard it, but soon enough he had managed to form a natural attitude towards it, a test of his mental fortitude that a normal kid wouldn't have had. Though, any child with his circumstances would have had similar results thrust upon them in this world. The thought of an adventure would excite them, but if they learn the truth about the real world they would wish they could just go home or perhaps ignore it all, thinking it just a ploy and get themselves hurt or worse rape.

Doesn't matter if it's a guy or girl. Worst-case scenario one could experience something far worse than death.

"WELL WELL, WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? SOME LOST LITTLE LAMB, BEGGING TO BE FEASTED UPON…"

…... Damnit, he just HAD to push his luck again, didn't he?

As soon as he heard that voice, something came out of the trees, barging through them at a leisurely pace whilst knocking them aside as evident by the groans that came from them as they capsized over. That soon became the least of things on his priority list though, for what Vali saw could only be described as an abomination, one which he had never seen before as it caused his skin to lose its color. The abomination in question took the form of a giant moth with several protrusions from below where a feminine, humanoid-looking form appeared, along with several legs reminiscent of those of an insect, and two antennae, as well as a stinger for attacks in combination with blinding speed.

'Wha… what is that th-thing?!'

As Vali trembles before the abomination that had emerged from the wilderness, he felt the Energy from his Devil Arm start flowing through him at increased levels.

<....That Vali is what we call a Stray Devil, though it seems that its energy has overflowed her body.>

'A-a Stray Devil, why are they called like that?' Vali questioned his dragon partner. However, before Albion could respond it turned out to be the [Glavenus] which did it for him, its tone within his mind grim yet angry at the sight of this creature. There was also a bit of disgust mixed in there as well, though why that was would remain a mystery for the time being.

[Let me tell you the reason why they are called Stray Devil boy, but first let me tell about Evil Pieces]

'Evil piec-'

<DODGE NOW PARTNER!!>

'?!'

Before the lad could question further, a loud roar raced through his mind as if he had just been near the source of a shockwave, courtesy of the Vanishing Dagon. In response to this, Vali quickly dove rolled to the right, feeling the crackling of dirt that rushed over his motion-controlled body which got his hair all messed up… well, more than it had already been since the last time he had styled it, had been before his rebellion against his old man. Back to the situation at hand, it turned out to be a good thing that he did rollover, as if he hadn't listened to the white dragon then the stinger of the stray devil would have pierced his body as it flew past him. In the end, it only missed him by a hair, the cutting sound as it raced through the air reminding Vali of a scythe cutting through yarn.

'Whoa, that thing's fast!' the boy couldn't help but shriek in his mind as the creature above released an exhalement, one of mild dismay and annoyance.

"AAAHHHHH WHY DID YOU DODGE, YOU COULD BE A TASTY MEAL FOR ME LITTLE LAMB!"

The moth Stray Devil whined like a child when Vali dodged its attack, most likely wanting to devour the boy since it sensed his powers, it's like a drug to the Stray devil that wants it for itself. After its initial run, the creature had risen up to the skies above, resulting in it being about 200 feet above the area where it and Vali were located, and because of this, it had to spend a couple of seconds to regain sight of its prey. Although those couple seconds didn't feel like so for the silver-haired boy, as it soon caught sight of him once again prompting a grin full of bloodlust to spread across its feminine lips.

"BE A GOOD BOY AND LET ME DEVOUR YOU!"

With that yelled out, the Stray Devil then howled like a banshee, shooting downwards towards its prey like a falcon, and unlike a moth that it was supposed to be. What, it was a Stray Devil, not something which could be described by ordinary means! In any case, the Stray devil went straight to Vali as its stinger got prepared to sting him once more, only for Vali to repeat what he had done previously, leading to a game of whack-a-mole: Vali edition… one which the Stray Devil apparently wasn't winning, much to its chagrin which became more and more apparent when its features contorted into gradual fury each time it missed its elusive target.

"HOLD STILL YOU LITTLE BRAT!"

"Like hell I would!"

After yelling that response, Vali proceeded to continue dodging the stinger that would end his life by a single strand of hair, infuriating the abomination further. Eventually but inevitably, the moth Stray Devil made a lapse in judgment due to her anger, and the end result: she got her stinger stuck in a tree that was behind Val.

'Chance!'

Upon seeing this opportunity to run and hide, Vali did so. He went and dove behind a tree trunk that looked big enough to hide… about multiple versions of him standing on top of one another. Pushing his back against the tree's bark, Vali tried to get his racing heartbeat back under control, a light bead of sweat on his forehead..

"YOU CAN RUN BOY, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME!"

Vali continued to hide to make sure he catches his breath so that he can go back and kill that Stray Devil he heard [Gavenus] speak to him now when he had the time to talk

[As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted by that filthy bug, Evil pieces are chess pieces that were created by the current Beelzebub to replenish his fellow devils' numbers when the great war took a toll upon them. There used to be 72 devils of the Ars Goetia, but now there are only 32 Devils of the Ars Goetia, with some being stripped of their titles of being purebloods due to having mixed heritage. Nevertheless, I still despise him for creating such a material that forced many other species to hide from Devils from being reincarnated into their own kind, which leads to being forced into slavery, even Tanin the blazing dragon was turned to a Devil!! How disgraceful!]

[Gavenus] roared from the Devil Arm that almost gave Vali a headache, with him putting his left hand on his head to try and lessen the mental pain it caused. Not to mention how he bit back the urge to groan in agony, only letting out a low hiss instead.

<Glavenus!>

Seeing what had befallen his current wielder, Albion sharply yelled out in a bellowing voice, snapping [Glavenus] out of his rage-filled rant to allow the Devil Arm to notice what had befallen the lad. While the moth Stray Devil thrashes around the trees to find its victim

[Aaahhh forgive me for that one, it reminded me of the devils who tried to convince or force me to their slavery damn devil. As I was saying for Stray Devils, they are the devils that betrayed their master for power or to be free from the slavery they were put in, however there's one cost to pay. Without a master to control the energy from the pieces they are overflowed with the dark, demonic energy which then ends up corrupting and mutating them into the forms like the one you see before you]

'I see'

"WHERE ARE YOU BOY, COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE…!"

The moth Stray Devil joyfully yelled in a sing-song voice that hoped that can capture the victim, but in Vali's case, it sounded like an old woman screeching out a rock band song when she had been far past her prime, a sound which irritated him WAY more than what [Glavenus] had been able to do before in comparison. However, as he glanced out from his hiding place and saw the Stray Devil up above, his gaze hardened and a determined smile formed on his lips. If one could look into his eyes right now, then they'd see the flames of a future battle maniac starting to ignite, something ESPECIALLY prevalent when he made the following mental declaration.

'Alright, I'm ready.'

[Very well then, I shall guide you on how to use a Switch Axe, for they are not like the usual weapons you see these days…]

What followed after these words, were a quick and precise explanation about the Switch Axe's capabilities, pros and cons. According to [Glavenus], Switch Axes were weapons which had transformation capabilities, with one blade shifting while being sheathed as well as sliding to a different position to change its attack style. In its secondary form, the weapon behaved far differently from its standard variation and uses a phial of specialized coating, in [Glavenus]'s case the coating this one had one filled with the liquid which it used for its combustions. The weapon was also able to overload this phial, ending in a concentrated burst which, if Vali tried with his Switch Axe, would result in an intense explosion which could well and truly damage him, so that one would have to be saved only as a last resort, as well as until his body had a strong heat resistance, hence why they'd chosen a desert to train in.

This information in mind, Vali swiftly reached behind him and drew the Devil Arm from his back, mentally smirking deviously with his demonic instincts starting to kick in especially when he heard the mechanical shifting sounds the Switch Axe made as it unfurled itself into Axe Mode, as [Glavenus] called it. Holding it in two hands, since he couldn't hold it in one just yet due to how small and weak he was (something he swore to work on in the future, Vali leapt out of hiding and bellowed out to the Stray. "Hey, ugly toad! I'm over here, c'mon, come and kiss my horse's ass!" he yelled, trying to entice it into attacking him.

"AHHH, FOUND YOU! NOW, LET ME PUT YOU IN MY BELLY AT LONG LAST!"

Attack him it did, the Stray Devil howling with childish laughter as it descended down towards him once more, attacking him with the same method that it had always been using since the beginning of this little 'game' of theirs, in its eyes anyways. Vali however, pushed down his surge of fear and desire to run as he got himself into position, holding [Glavenus] in a position behind him to swing upwards, though he instead waited till the enemy got close enough to do so. It helped that the Devil Arm was instructing him on how the weapon was meant to be wielded subtly, quickly and precisely, something which the lad appreciated at the moment.

When the beast got close enough to strike with its stinger, Vali reacted, swinging the Switch Axe with all his might whilst releasing a loud, berserker-like war cry whilst doing so. Seeing the attack coming from a mile away however, the Stray Devil simply altered its course at the last second, believing that would be enough for it to avoid that strange weapon's range and get the first blow in on its prey… sadly for it however, that wouldn't be happening, nope not in this lifetime. The reason: simple, since it had never seen a Switch Axe before, and its odd shape only added to this advantage Vali's weapon had, the Stray Devil underestimated the range this thing had… and as a result, he managed to nick it in one of its wings regardless of how it tried to dodge.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

A loud, frenzied cry filled the air as the Stray Devil, feeling the Axe dig straight through the sensitive, thin and weak webbing that made up its wing, tumbled out of the air space, rolled across the ground until it finally smashed into one of the trees, bending its wings into unnatural angles in the process and thus, rendering its ability to fly useless. This wasn't helped by the fact that the Wings were damaged in such a way that it could hardly move a muscle without feeling explosions of fiercy, infernal pain from those appendages surging through its entire body.

"Huh, that was…"

<Disappointing?>

[Weak?]

"... Bit of both, yeah."

"DAMN YOU BOY, WHAT KIND OF SACRED GEAR DO YOU HAVE!? I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!"

When the moth-shaped Stray Devil exclaimed she wanted to know what kind of Sacred Gear did the boy have. To it, it looked WAY too demonic to be a Sacred Gear, and the only one that had demonic attributes was sword birth, maybe the boy had that?

"Well since you're about to die, might as well tell you that this Axe is not a sacred gear. Instead, this is a Devil Arm."

"A DEVIL ARM!?! AREN'T THOSE SUPPOSED TO BE A MYTH!?"

When Vali said that his axe was a Devil arm, the creature's eyes boggled out from its feminine head, shock and horror filling its being. Devil Arms… those words rang within her mind, making her recall a few times when one of her colleagues once mentioned them in passing, about how they were supposedly extinct NOW, but at the time their potential could have rivaled God's Sacred Gears when they started becoming more popular in the supernatural world. It didn't pay these things much attention back then though, and right now it felt like regretting that decision since whatever this one is, when that weapon had struck it, it god (ouch!) damn HURT. Way more so than anything Holy elements could do, in fact it felt like something had combusted within it's damaged wing, damaging it severely on the inside. Not only had it become very stunned at the fact that those things existed, but the possibility of these things returning to prominence… it's very being SCREAMED that this would spell trouble, for so many parties involved.

Now that it thought about it, it remembered something else from its distant past, something which chilled it to the bone since only one time can ever make someone's life flash before their eyes: their meeting with the grim reaper. Before it had become a stray devil after cannibalizing its Master when he had been left vulnerable after an exhausting battle, it's master had been shown to be obsessed, almost psychotically so, with getting a Devil Arm that he ordered every one of his peerage to find a Wyvern or a Dragon, so that he could this to get a better rank in the Ars Goetia. Did this lad having one, mean that Devil Arms were going to be returning like its instincts said would be bad if they did?

For once, the Stray Devil feared for the future… and its colleagues.

Yet despite this, a low, amused chuckle escaped it's lips even if it came with a spike of pain from its injury.

"WELL, AT LEAST BEFORE I DIE, I GET TO KNOW THAT DEVIL ARMS ARE COMING BACK TO THE LIGHT."

THIS drew a surprised expression from Vali, as evident by how he lowered the Devil Arm in his hands as he proceeded to head towards the downed creature, holding it in a ready position, as to not let down his guard. Still, though, something the Stray Devil had said had piqued his curiosity, and like any child, he wanted that curiosity satisfied. "Huh, how curious: You're pretty calm when you're about to die, why is that?"

"HEH, FRAIL MORTAL… YOU COULD SAY THAT ITS SINCE I'M FINALLY FREE FROM THIS PAIN THAT THE EVIL PIECE THAT AS BEEN TORMENTING ME SINCE I BECAME A STRAY DEVIL. NOW... I CAN FINALLY DIE, THE DEVIL ARM BEING MY KILLER IS MERELY SECONDARY. BUT FIRST… TELL ME BOY, WHAT IS YOUR NAME?"

Well since it's on its last breath he might as well honor it, from what [Glavenus] had told him during its rant, the Demonic Energy within a Stray mutates and corrupts the individual, which meant that this one had been fighting to retain it's sanity even until it's last breath… some resolve and dedication, that had to take.

"....it's Vali."

Vali said his name, momentarily hesitating on saying the last name, for it provided the link that he had to his father, something which he disliked for obvious reasons. Plus it will remind him of the abuse he suffered from him, proof being how he felt the phantom pains on his back from those instances.

Unaware of what he had been thinking, the Stray hummed in response, as she watched the lad raise his Switch Axe up to the air, the [Glavenus] Devil Arm gleaming menacingly. She would have sworn if she were in any other situation, that this Axe's blade looked like a Guillotine too.

"VALI HUH? WAIT... YOUR APPEARANCE... AND THAT HAIR! GUH! CAN IT BE?! ARE YOU SIMILAR TO THE KING OF THE UNDERWORLD LUCI-"

Before it could finish, a flash of instinctual killing intent prompted as Vali then brought its axe down to the Stray Devil head, the instant sound of flesh being sliced through by something sharp quickly shutting it up, leaving its face in a state of shock and realization.

Looking down on its corpse, Vali glared heatedly with his fists clenched tightly around his Switch Axe, multiple veins bulging on his forehead. He knew EXACTLY what that Stray had been trying to say, but he REFUSED to allow it to finish, at least not without him ending it along with the following scathing, fury-ridden comment.

".....I'm not that bastard, never will be."

[...You can try to deny it boy, but you can't keep denying your inner Devil inside. That will only result in you limiting yourself, which will make things inevitably harder. You will have to accept it young man, one day you will.]

Mentally, Vali rolled his eyes at [Glavenus]'s words, pressing a button on the Devil Arm to switch it into it's Sheathed mode before putting it onto his back, letting it attach itself there. If there was ONE thing that Vali did NOT want to do right now, it would be to even CONSIDER the possibility of accepting his Devil Side. To him, it resembled everything that his father represented, it represented everything which he DESPISED about that species… yet more importantly, it was the side which caused his mother so much needless pain and agony. .

<He's right partner I know you hate that side, but you have to accept it. To deny this is to deny yourself half your potential, as [Glavenus] just stated. One day when you face something against the odds you have to learn to accept it. it's your power, not your father, your grandfather, not even your ancestor Vali.>

".....I will deal with that when the time has come." As much as Vali wanted to shout back at his two tenants for those words, he had to quickly force himself not to. Not only would it be counter-productive, but it'd also likely lead into a full-blown argument and that would be the worst thing that could befall him at this moment. They WERE his sole company along with his sole source of directions to where he needed to go for his peaceful training.

So, with the Devil's remains to disintegrate behind him, Vali turned and left in silence, continuing on his journey leaving behind a knight chess piece that also began to disintegrate...

A long while later, Vali finally managed to put enough distance between him and that forest where he had encountered that tray. At the time, he had thought that the road ahead would be easier to walk for the rest of the way, but by the time they had neared the end of the journey, he had spotted something that made him shocked to the core... not to mention adding to the growing anger he felt towards Albion.

"Albion... what's the reason why I had to walk through the forest for four days non stop?"

He had asked barely above a whisper.

<To train of course>

That had been the smooth response from the white dragon-like nothing had been wrong.

"Then... why in the name of god(ouch)... and all that is mighty... did you have me walk from a forest... to a fucking DESERT!?!?"

Just after the forest they had arrived at, like Vali had shouted at the top of his lungs, a desert which seems to be the largest one which Vali had ever seen… not that surprising since he hadn't been out of his childhood home before his rebellion. The journey through here had been a long, odorous one with Vali being forced to utilize his Demonic Power reserves through constant nagging by Albion and [Glavenus], much to his internal dismay. The runway that he had to use it, was to shift its purpose to reinforce his various internal organs, all while shifting some of it into nutrients for his body to absorb, letting him last longer without the need to eat food or stay hydrated. Thanks to him having an abundance of reserves in his system, this method allowed this energy to be used without issue…. As well as possibly expanding and enlarging it in the future, resulting in it becoming more potent at the same time. Another reason why Cross Country running had been a major benefit to his body.

[This is a perfect place to train, boy; not only it will further increase your training, but also it can grant you heat resistance to get used to the sun. Haaaah, how nostalgic... I remember the time when I was a young wyvern, I came here to increase my powers since this area had a lot of monsters and Dijin. Fun times, especially when I went all out and covered the round around me in the blood of my slain foes... which reminds me. Albion, wasn't this place used to be one of yours and Ddraig's many battlegrounds?]

Vali paused his thoughts when he heard [Glavenus] said that this used to be one of the heavenly dragons battlegrounds. His previous anger had abated thanks to this information, especially when he heard words relating to battle, plus, the lad started to get the feeling that he was within earshot of a pair of old war veterans that he'd heard his father brag about many times in the past.

"Wait a minute..... this used to be a battleground that you and Ddraig happened to fight in?"

<....Yes, but there is more to this.>

Albion responded in a very suspicious tone, one which caused his current wielder to arch a brow in curiosity.

[Ohhh there is, please do tell us what is there, come on what are you hiding?]

… Why did it sound like [Glavenus] was trying to goad Albion into revealing something embarrassing like a best bro in a highschool trying to get his friend to explain who they have a crush on? He bet that if [Glavenus] still had its original body, it would have been smirking like the Devil or a gremlin… for some reason that brought a slight smile onto Vali's face, no matter how hard he tried to hide it.

<I, I, I, me and Ddraig sorta...… created…... the Sahara desert>

"..."

[...]

There was pure silence that not even the wind could blow away, nor could the rustling of the hair that it did. Meanwhile, the owner of said silver hair could only have an expression which could be described as a deadpanned one, all whilst his brain processed what he had just heard slowly, as difficult as it had been to imagine.

"...So let me get this straight. This place…..called the Sahara desert right....is the place where you and Ddraig happened to create?"

<......Yes.>

...

[...Have you not even tried to look around your scenario, you know what forget it let's just continue with training, your wasting time boy]

"Alright, alright I get it [Glavenus] let's just go towards death valley and see if anything worthwhile could survive this… by the way, where is it?."

<Death Valley is in America, we are in Africa>

"WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!?!"

As Vali screamed at Albion, he proceeded to trudge through the Sand towards desert, intending to continue his journey. He held his hands inside the pockets of his shredded legwear, grumbling under his breath thanks to all the annoyance of the last few moments seeping from his grasp over his emotions. All the while, however, neither he, Albion or even [Glavenus] became aware that someone had begun watching him through the sky.

{Interesting}

A voice spoke under its breath, it's owner watching Vali, seeing something that attracted its attention away from the duties which it had performed over countless millennia. Something which it appreciated dearly, since doing the same thing over and over could become rather boring… boring REAL fast. Originally it had sensed an intruder upon its territory the moment that it had taken its first step onto the sand of which fell under its domain, and because of this it would have made to inform the rest of the Pantheon to deal with the intruder without mercy, such had been the laws they abided. However, several features about this intruder had put a halt to those plans: one being that the newest intruder onto its territory had been a Devil, albeit one with an absurd amount of Demonic Energy (energy which seemed to have been used for survival-based needs if it guessed right), even more peculiar had been that it was a child. No, it wasn't only a Devil, as it discovered upon further investigation by reading it's aura, no there were several things mixed in with it: human, Dragon… Wyvern? Yeah, these things had been MORE than enough to give it pause to consider it's course of action.

The being had originally thought about killing the child, which is determined to be some sort of Hybrid of Devil and Human (they weren't uncommon, sadly) with draconic and wyvern-based lineages before the child could reach its full potential and not have another super devil. Three had been good enough but with four, it caused no small amount of headaches. The three factions had been getting more unpredictable in recent centuries, something which MANY of the other factions had been paying attention to and had begun getting a little antsy over. First, it was the creation of Christianity or Hebrew that made Egypt weaken when YHWH unleashed ten plagues under the time when Ramesses was still alive, then the evil pieces that blasted Beelzebub created that forced many other species to hide from the Devils including her favorite the sphinx and the apis bull to which her former husband created horus to appeal to her.

But then, in one moment after a more thorough examination of the child's aura, was when it then recognized the energy that she never forgot when she was an evil god. The being hadn't thought it'd encounter this energy again after so many centuries had passed, but now that it had, there was only one proper course of action for it to take here. First, the being decided to hide the half-devil boy's aura from being recognized by the other Egypt gods, otherwise they would just go down there and kill the boy.

The being couldn't have that.

Not this time.

{Just this once I will repay the debt I owe you Albion, just once. We will meet when the time is right boy, see if you can impress me boy}

With a swipe of its hand, the being unleashed a black wisp of smoke from said appendage, one which spiraled forth in front of it and gave a low hiss, waiting for instructions. Now that it had it's creation's attention, the being gave it a mental command to pursue the boy and kill him, something which the wisp would GLADLY do to appease it's mistress, shooting downwards through the skies and into the mortal world akin to a hound being let off its leash. The hunt had begun…

It's target: the intruder.

{Let's see if you can survive this, boy}
