3 Brand New Day

My eyes snap open at the first ray of sunlight, the cloudy veil that has blocked my vision was now gone. With the restoration of my sight, I take in my new surrounding. The cave that we call home was huge, the ceiling loom over our head, protecting us from the elements. Crystal like mineral protruded out of the cave wall, glimmering in the sun light. In the darkness, many pathway branched outward from the main chamber, separating the cave system into a natural form labyrinth. Deeper into the cave, the sound of a roaring river can be heard. The moss beneath us has covered the remain of prey, leaving only a few yellow protrusion. Swarmed of Thunder Bugs can be seen flying all over the place, painting a beautiful scenery.

I try to move my four limbs, but it was cover and pressed down by five other little fur balls. I started to wiggle to get out of my current predicament, my limb kicking and flailing all over the place. In response to me assaulting them repeatedly, the little cubs growled in dissatisfaction. As my struggle started to get more violence, I was picked up by my nape and drop down on the ground. My mother, who was not happy about the way I disturb my siblings, decide to end my little one man charade.

I started to walk around, trying to ignore the dirty look my mother has been giving me. My little head twisted and turned in wonderment, to the amusement gaze of my mother. My gaze linger on the shiny crystal protruded out of the wall, the sun light refracting from them created a magical presence in the cave. I stand there in wonderment, reflecting in my eyes are all the wonderful color dance and wave in the ceiling. The aurora on the cave wall dance slowly, their color flicker indefinitely as the trek slowly through the cave with me in tow. I can feel the soft green moss rubbing against my padded paws, I lied lazily on the moss enjoying the peace and quiet.

The serene moment was shatter by the howls of a powerful Zinogre. I awaken from my little stupor, and look at my mother confusingly. I've always been amaze by the world of Monster Hunter, however this was the first time I've seen a living, breathing Monster. The day before all I can see is blur like images, but right now I can see my mother in all her glory. The muscular visages of a Zinogre was still there, but with its a sleek elegant. Azure scale with a slight sheen draped over her powerful body. Her white mane was long and fuzzy, a few blue bolt of electrical might can be seen dancing about. Her golden spike lay neatly on top of one another, creating smooth curve of golden yellow on an uniform mass of blue and white. The spike extend from her massive horns all the way down to her limb; her personal impenetrable piece of armor. The massive tail sway gently from side to side making gust of gentle winds flicker about. Her wolf like snout hover above the ground as she clean her children, her chin spike lightly scraped the surface.

My confusion was cleared up once I got back to my mother, my little siblings have finally open their eyes. The confusion in their watery eyes was soon replace with excitement and curiosity, as they started to roll about. The white fur that cover their entire body was soon coated in a crust of dust and grimes. My siblings roll around for another fifteen minute before they get tired. Their chubby face lay flat again the ground, and their newly open eyes closed in satisfaction. My mother started to clean them one by one, while her disapproving gaze burn a hole through the back of their heads. After she finished, the bunch of little critters rowdily yelped to get her attention. My mother only look at them before standing up, and move away from them. Amidst my confusion, she repeated the action again and look at her children excitedly.

The first one to figure it out was the chubbiest of the bunch, his eyes flashed in understanding light, as he imitated mother movement. His tiny, chubby limbs quaked furiously as its tried to support the heavy body. Only two second later, my little brother collapse, however his eyes shone in an unwavering lights as he tried again. All of my little siblings started to figure out what's going on, so they've also started try.

As their self proclaimed big brothers, I feel like I've a responsibility to guide them through dark times, and what better moment to demonstrated this than right now. I gingerly walked up to my little siblings, simultaneously going to help them and shown my superiority as their older brother. A quick nudge over here, a pushed over there and I've earn all of their respect, even my mom. Soon, all of them have master standing, while some has even try to walk. A feeling of pride and accomplishment welled up inside me, as I started to help my siblings with new founded vigor. It took about an hour before all of them started to walk slowly toward mother. When they got to her, they immediately lunged forward to eat. As the bunch of little glutton devour their foods, I walk slowly toward my mom. She look at me gently, before lovingly licking my head.

After we finished breakfast, mother howled loudly toward us. All of us raised our heads to look at her, she swiftly pointed her head to the entrance of the cave, indicating that we are going to leave the cave for the first time. We started surrounding our mother, two of the little one could not handle it and bounced up and down. Finally, we get out of the cave, with me going a head of my siblings.
