2 A New Kind Of Hunter?!
Chapter 1
Today is the day where I make my mark on the world in 2 hours I will become a Hunter and make the bastards pay!
*beep beep* *beep beep*
M: "Oh sh*t is that the time"?! "I'm going to be late"!
I jump out of bed and rush to the shower to quickly wash. Once finished in the shower I dry my self and throw on my clothes ready to leave.
*rumble*
M: "I'm so hungry but I don't have time to eat right now or I'm going to be late"
I grab my keys and wallet and run out of my door locking it and proceeded to jump into my car ready to drive.
*30 minutes later*
M: "I made it"
I got out of the car and walked calmly over to the awakening centre ready to receive my powers and rank.
The building is huge! I don't ever remember seeing it so big it's got so many rooms and people dashing around it seems so unorganised but surprisingly nobody is interrupting anybody else. It's kind of satisfying to watch.
I make my way into the building and the main desk in the building is surrounded by regular people each waiting to take the serum but none have the resolve I do...
*Flashback*
*screaming, running and a behemoths hand reach down towards me. My mother rushing to push me out of the way crying telling me to run and the hand crushes her instead of me*
...: "-cuse me" "EXUSE ME"!!
Oh sh*t I must've been daydreaming is it my turn??
Desk lady: "excuse me sir may I ask your name and date of birth please"? "Hmm... that's fine it all checks out please head on through"
I walk over to the door and as soon as I'm about to open the door someone burst through the doors knocking me to the ground and them to come collapsing on top of me. Something broke but it wasn't a bone it felt more like a test tube or something...
Scientist: "oops I'm terribly sorry I didn't mean to-... OH NO MY TEST TUBE BROKE"!!
A gas of some sort seemed to emit from the broken glass I unfortunately was laid right next to it and I ended up inhaling it. It smelt like honey but it burnt my eyes I ended up having to close my eyes.
S: "This is all your fault!" "If you'd have been looking where you were going this wouldn't have happened!"
M: "What? My fault you're the one who came flying out of the door and knocked me over"!
S: "Well you broke my lifes work and then proceeded to inhale-... oh no." "You need to come with me now I need to run tests on you and you owe it to me".
I began to feel light headed and I agreed not really knowing what I was getting into. I quickly got pulled back through the doors the scientist came out of and I remember little after that just a muffled voice saying that I'll be okay...
I woke up on a sick bed in a hospital of some sort unsure to where I actually was looked around scanning the room looking for any ounce of information that could help me figure out where I was. I noticed the same woman who bumped into me at the doors to the serum testing centre she was sat at the foot of my bed with a notepad.
M:"what the hell happened to me?" "Where am I"?
She looks up from her notepad and seems surprised.
S: "you shouldn't be awake... you should be dead"
M: "Wait what?! Tell me what the hell happened to me now!"
S: "okay you need to stay calm, but I was working on a new type of serum which doesn't unlock a persons power but allows for the person to grow their abilities with practice and killing behemoths."
M: "so what you're telling me is I'm a test rat?!
S: "yes exactly. The thing you inhaled has destroyed your insides but it has somehow made you're body more durable and evolved further than any Hunter before you. Unfortunately I need to take some blood samples so I can make more of this new serum"
M: "No!!" "After everything you've done to me I need to get out of here now"
S: "I'm sorry but you cannot leave you are an untested Hunter with unfathomable power! Do you understand what this could mean for the human race?!"
I take a second and realise what's actually happening. She mentioned me being a 'new' type of Hunter could this be the thing I've wanted for so long finally coming true.
M: "Okay I'll play along for now"
