2 Mother?

'Ugghhh my head hurts. What the hell happened? We were scouting the mountains to find the cause of the tremors and I… Died. Or at least I thought I did. But if I'm thinking right now I can't be dead'

'Ah I'm tired. I'll think about it when I wake up'

Drifting of into sleep in a strangely comfortable bed I slip into the darkness of slumber.

"Mhhmm"

"Just give me a little bit longer"

-LICK-

"AAHHHHH!"

Woken up by a massive figure with it's tongue hanging out I freaked out like any sensible person would.

'Holy crap why did I wake up with a huge monster licking me! Don't eat me please!'

??? "Wake up Lucius time for breakfast"

'Oh my god! It's talking! Whats happening?!'

Scared enough to piss myself I tried to run away but as I reached out to crawl forwards I slipped on a smooth piece of tile and faceplant into the ground.

'Uggh what's a tile doing here in a monster nest?'

Inspecting the cause of minor injury, upon closer inspection it wasn't a tile at all. It was an eggshell. A broken eggshell. And my reflection on the smooth interior revealed that I was anything but human.

'You got to be kidding me.'

In my reflection I saw slick black fur, red highlights around yellow eyes, wings that had developed into forelimbs that could be used to run like a quadrupedal and a tail with spikes that could be raised like porcupine.

'I am a Nargacuga.'

??? "Son come one. Stop playing around and eat your breakfast. Your mother didn't hunt a Kelbi for nothing"

'What?! Mother???This can't be happening!'
