Lucidia

You awoke with the start, quickly snapping out from the odd dream you experienced and looked around. You were still on the boat leading to Lucidia, however the boat was docked, indicating the destination was reached.

Looking some more, you could see the old female captain smiling at you. She informed you that you'd been asleep for about an hour since the boat arrived. As you hurriedly scrambled around the boat to get your things she explained some more.

She told you to head to the Guild Hall to be informed more about the situation. With a small head bow you thanked her, quickly exiting and setting your first steps on Lucidia.

You breathed in the fresh air, speaking as you did. "People definitely didn't lie when they said the place would be packed with monsters." No matter where you looked, there would be a monster girl ranging from a slime girl to even an Orc wandering around the place with familiarity.

With nothing else to see you began to head to the Guild Hall only to pause, remembering you actually have no idea where it is, and began to scramble around.

"You looked confused~ Are you perhaps lost?" Amidst your panicking, a sultry female spoke from behind you. Turning around you saw a woman walking toward you. Her impressive bust bouncing with every step she took. The low cut form fitting black dress you was wearing certainly didn't help.

"Well, aren't you a little cutie~" Her voice seemed to put a trance on your mind. "What's your name~"

"R-Rei." You stutter, managing to keep eye contact with her long enough to introduce yourself.

"Mmmh,❤ Rei... What a lovely name. I love it."

Your heart fluttered by her sweet words, a small blush forming on your face as she took a step forward to you.

"Am I to assume you are one of the new adventurers around here?"

You nod, surprised she was able to guess.

The woman smiled at your visible confusion. "It's very common for new adventurers to come here. People dreaming of hitting it big... Among other things of course." She suddenly gasped.

"Oh, dear me, where are my manners~. My name is Vivian Von Voss. However, you can call me Vivian. It's an absolute pleasure to meet you."

Her words sent small shivers down your spines, and in your stunned state she quickly grabbed your arm, dragging you along with her.

"W-what?" You confusedly spoke out, trying to keep up with Vivian's pace. She turned her head towards you, giving you a sultry smile.

"You're heading to the Guild Hall, right?" You nod. "Well I'll be happy to show yo-"

"STOP!" Another woman suddenly bursts towards the two of you, quickly snatching your arm away from Vivian and pulling you away. "What do you think you're doing, Vivian!"

To the enraged woman's state, Vivian only smiled. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Elena, I was simply going to show this boy to the Guild Hall."

The woman now named Elena snorted. "You? Of all people, showing a male to the right place?"

The two continued to bicker leaving you helplessly stuck in Elena's surprisingly strong grip. It took a few more minutes but eventually Vivian started leaving, not before giving you a wink before she turned and walked off, swaying her hips as she did.

Your eyes wandered to her impressive ass, the dress she wore doing nothing to hide some of it. With every step she took away from you her voluptuous ass jiggling. You stared, your mind slowly going blank...

*Snap!*

A loud snap in your ear broke out your trance. Your hazy vision lessened and you could see the annoyed look of the other woman. She stares at you for a few seconds before she cleared her throat.

"As the woman said, my name is Elena, the guild representative here. You must be Rei."

You nod, watching a cat girl pass by the two of you, her tail swishing back and forth.

"Don't worry about the monster girls roaming around town. We only let the one's willing to be civil in." Elena let's out a tired sigh before speaking again.

"The person you just met is Vivian, she runs the local inn and tavern, 'The Goddess' Embrace'... It's also a monster girl bordello... Actually it's more accurate to say that it's a human bordello for monster girls." She faces the direction Vivian left, a small amount of disgust on her face before she turned back to you.

"I would highly recommend you don't work there. However, don't let that stop you from eating or sleeping there. Even with the other services they have, they're well known for the food they make." She clears her throat suddenly.

"Also, I forgot to mention, you have a debt of a million eros."

"...WHAT!?" Your shocked voice attracted some of the surrounding people as you quickly lowered your voice. "Wait, what's an eros?"

"It's the currency of Lucidia," She quickly explained. "Any money you brought here will be worthless. However, I can take what money you have and exchange it for eros."

You dig into your bag before handing Elena a small pouch filled with gold. She took it from you and counted it up, handing you a pouch filled with shining purple coins.

"How much is this?"

"1000."

So the same amount of money you had before, that's slightly good to know. What's not good to know is that you apparently have debt from the school that didn't mention jack about that...

"I'm sure you're wondering how exactly the free adventuring school wasn't... well free. While the schooling itself was free, your trip to here was not, nor were any meals on the trip over, or at the school. In addition, any elective classes you took were also factored into the debt, as well as the school's expected returns on your income as an adventurer based on your grades, and some of the starting gear I'll be giving you shortly."

You processed the information, coming to a single conclusion. "That's complete bullshit!"

"I know... But I'm just here with the guild here and don't make the rules. We just help facilitate quest and the debt repayment."

"I would also like to mention you can't leave Lucidia until you either pay off your debts or defeat the Demon Queen. The boats can't carry you back due to their contracts the guilds and schools, as well as the aquatic monster girls destroying boats trying to carry men away from Lucidia, you may have noticed the crew was female."

You stared down at the ground, thinking this day couldn't get any worse.

"And to top it all off, most... Or well actually, all of your training you had at Adventum is effectively worthless here."

You snapped your head up. "What?! How!?"

"Well, no violence can happen on Lucidia due to the continent-wide enchantment placed by the Demon Queen. The only way to fight...is well... Sexually." She spoke the last words with very thinly veiled contempt before putting back on her professional smile.

"That, or talking to them, but monster girls rather have sex than a pleasant conversation. You could also just run away all the time and find alternate ways to pass obstacles I suppose..."

Elena sighs while you try to process all the information thrown at you.

"...I'm still dreaming, aren't I" It's impossible for a day to could from 100 to shit in a mere moment, this had to be a joke!

Unfortunately, Elena gently patted your shoulder with a reassuring smile.

"It's not."

Your eyes go blank as you feel the need to weep.

"Just... Don't let the option of having sex with countless monsters cloud your head." She took her hand away as you slowly sat up.

"Can... Can I just have my stuff."

She nods, handing you a fancy looking leather-bound book and a small stone with blue runes engraved on it.

"Here is your grimoire of guidance and your recall stone. Don't lose them unless you want your debt to pile up even more."

You nod, taking the two items and storing them into your bag.

"Are they that expensive?"

"Well, yeah. More importantly, you might not be able to get back to town without them. The grimoire allows you to travel Lucidia with ease, it keeps the twisting dream like portions of the continent stable and traversable, and their pages will magically fill themselves as you adventure. The recall stone will bring you back to town but only if it detects if your low on energy or in sever danger."

"There will also be quest posted at the Adventure's Guild, which will automatically posted on your grimoire, included with quest you may be given by people outside of town."

You nod, keeping the important information stored in your brain, getting ready to leave before Elena spoke once more.

"Before you head out, you should go and buy some equipment and learn some skills. Almost anyone in town can teach you, but the Adventurer's Guild is the best place to go, so it's best if you do. Going out there unprepared... it's not a good idea."

Elena clears her throat.

"Well. I think I've kept you here long enough, if you have any questions, come talk to me at the Adventurer's Guild and I'll try my best to answer them. I'd recommend you at least go to the shopping district and guild hall before heading out to adventure, and I hope we can get along. Good Luck!" She quickly heads into the guild hall and leaves you to your own devices.

"...I think I'm going to sleep." You felt mentally tired and just wanted to rest. After getting information about where exactly the Goddess' Embrace Inn was, you quickly departed there.
