Secrets

I was coming home from a night out with my friends when I stumbled upon a shocking revelation - my family was not who I thought they were. As I walked through the door, I saw my father transform into a monster, something grotesque and unimaginable.

My heart was pounding and my body was on fire with fear. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, even though it was happening right in front of me. I thought I was just hallucinating from all the drinking, but then I remembered that we had only had low-alcohol flavored beer. I was terrified, my fear growing stronger with every passing moment.

"This can't be real," I thought to myself. But then I remembered that our family has always had a high tolerance for alcohol, so it had to be real.

As I watched, my father's body contorted and changed into that of a wolf with black fur. After a minute, the bone-cracking transformation stopped. I wondered if it was over, but then the monster sniffed and turned its attention towards me. I couldn't help but scream out loud.

"Please, I'm your only son. Don't kill me!" I begged in my mind.

Suddenly, a blur raced in front of my father and stopped just long enough for me to see that it was my mother. I had no idea she could run that fast. She spoke words I couldn't understand and made strange hand gestures, and I realized she was casting a spell. It was an incantation to make me fall asleep and erase my memories.

I felt a burning sensation inside me, as if something was resisting the spell, but at the same time I felt drowsy. My vision became blurry and dark. I felt warm and comfortable, and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I felt someone carrying me, and then I felt a sharp pain in my head. It kept me awake for a while, but I was too weak to move. I heard voices in the room, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. Eventually, the voices quieted down and I fell asleep.

As I woke up on a peaceful morning, I found myself back in my room, as if nothing had happened. Everything was quiet and serene, just like always. I looked around my room for any differences and wondered, "Was it all just a dream?"

But no, I couldn't be that naïve. As I remembered the events of the previous night, I knew I had been sober and wide awake. So, I dismissed the idea of it being a dream.

I got out of bed and walked to the window to look outside. The view was beautiful and blissful. We lived in a large mansion on a mountain, surrounded by vast trees that stretched out as far as the eye could see.

You might think that living on a mountain would mean we were far from the city, but it only took a 40-minute drive to get there.

As I admired the view, I smelled something. It was a strange, unfamiliar scent, and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. My room was always clean, so I looked around and under my bed to see if there was something causing the smell.

It smelled so good, it made me hungry. My stomach grumbled in response.

I followed the scent and realized it didn't come from the kitchen, as there was no one there and no food being cooked. I wondered where the smell could be coming from.

A gust of wind made the scent even stronger, and I saw that it was coming from the storage shed outside the house. I remembered that my family had always told me not to go near the shed for some reason. I had always been curious about what was inside, but I had never dared to find out.

As I headed towards the shed, I saw our butler, Steven. He asked me where I was going, and when I told him I was going to the shed to look for something, he had a strange expression on his face.

"Let me go with you," Steven said in a cold tone.

I wondered why he wanted to come with me, since I was just going to take a look inside. But I shrugged it off and said, "Okay."

We made our way to the shed, and Steven used a key to unlock the door. I had forgotten that the shed was always locked. It was a good thing Steven was with me, or I wouldn't have been able to get inside.

I peeked inside and saw a variety of useful household and garden items, including cleaning materials. Some of the items were unfamiliar to me.

I carefully looked around, trying to find the source of the delicious smell. But after a thorough search, I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. It all seemed so normal.

"Is anything wrong, young master?" Steven asked.

I shook my head and replied, "No, everything's fine. I was just curious about what was inside."

I was still confused about the mysterious scent that seemed to be coming from the shed. It was much stronger here than it had been inside the house.

I left the shed with Steven and went to the kitchen to satisfy my sudden hunger. I grabbed some frozen food from the fridge, but as I ate, I felt hungrier and hungrier. My stomach felt strange today. I kept eating and eating, until I finally couldn't eat any more.

But then, my belly started warming up again and I felt hungry once more. What the heck was going on? I was full of energy, too. This day just kept getting weirder and weirder. First, I had smelled something delicious, and now I was hungry and full of energy.

I changed into my jogging outfit and ran to the mountain trail I usually used for my morning run. As I ran, I felt my body becoming lighter, and my endurance seemed to be better than usual. I couldn't help wondering if this had anything to do with what had happened the previous night.

"Am I a monster?" I laughed at the thought, but I couldn't dismiss it completely. After all, I had seen my own father transform right in front of my eyes. They must have thought that I wouldn't remember anything, but I had yet to see my parents this morning. They were usually around in the mornings and afternoons, but they were hard to find at night.

I returned from my run covered in sweat, but I didn't feel tired like I usually did. I even felt like I could run for another half-hour. I changed my clothes and wandered around the house. I saw some of the household workers and greeted them with a smile, telling them to continue with their chores. Being a rich young master had its perks.

I made my way back to the storage shed, where the scent was still strong. I saw that the door was still unlocked from last time, probably because Steven had forgotten to lock it. I looked around and saw that everything was still the same as before.

I had an idea. Maybe I could use my nose to track down where the scent was coming from. Like a dog sniffing around inside the shed. I sniffed attentively, hoping to find something hidden underground that was causing the smell. I knocked on the floor, searching for a hidden door.

After a few tries, I heard something that sounded different from the rest of the floor. Maybe there really was a hidden door underground.

I opened the hidden door and saw what was inside, an old cauldron.

I cautiously approached the cauldron and peered inside, expecting to find some kind of delicious stew or broth. Instead, I was met with the grotesque sight of a dead body floating in a pool of blood. My stomach churned and I stepped back in horror, trying to process what I was seeing.

"This can't be real," I muttered to myself, trying to convince myself that it was all some kind of nightmare or hallucination. But the smell of the blood was too strong and the sight of the body too vivid to be anything but real.

I heard a voice whisper in my ear, urging me to "eat it. Drink it." The temptation was strong, as my hunger seemed to grow with each passing moment. But I couldn't bring myself to do it. How could I possibly consume a human being, even if it was for the sake of gaining some kind of power or strength?

The voice persisted, telling me that if I didn't drink and eat, the "evolution and awakening" would fail and I would die. It claimed to be the "progenitor of my blood," the one who stood above all and lived inside the blood of its descendants. It was there to guide me through my evolution.

I was torn, unsure of what to do. Part of me was intrigued by the prospect of gaining some kind of monstrous powers, but the thought of consuming human flesh and blood made me feel sick. I had to make a choice, but I wasn't sure if I was ready for the consequences.
