25 Exploring

Exploring the dungeon would always bring surprises. The adventurer could find rare resources, treasure chests or new monsters. In this case, Aurus was looking for the stairs for the next floor.

With the help of Zaya to clear the monsters on the tenth floor which were mostly hobgoblins and ghouls with a small number of ogres, Aurus managed to find the stairs an hour later.

Happy with the high speed, he entered the next floor, which was the same record as the guild master.

Facing off with different monsters, Aurus trained his swordsmanship and with a few magic skills, he had managed to create using the mana manipulation skill. The magic mana arrow made completely of mana which possessed a strong penetrating power was currently his most used skill. When he created this magic, it was added in his skill list which meant he could also create his own skill and it meant that those saying one was born with skills and they couldn't gain them other than buying them were saying bullshit.

He had also controlled the mana to create other skills such as vines made from mana which would entangle the monster stopping it from moving. With the help of Zaya, they managed to explore the floor little by little.

He had noticed that from the moment he entered the eleventh floor, the monsters were a lot more agitated and there were a lot more traps than there were on the previous floors. If he had to compare, it was the difference between an easy and intermediate mode in a game.

Nevertheless, he continued to take care of the monsters, killing them one after another and collecting their corpses to bring to the adventurers guild. For monsters in the dungeon, the guild would offer reward and if he killed enough monsters, he would be able to rank up faster.

This floor was a big forest where the monsters would hide and traps were everywhere. Pitfalls in between the trees, rolling stones on top of some small hills, monsters ambush in the trees, arrows traps which would activate when he touched the small wire. Well, there were countless of them and they were not all easy to avoid.

In Aurus opinion, the traps and ambushes were the reason the guild master didn't go any further in the dungeon. He probably didn't have the ability to go any further.

So, for the following two hours, Aurus strolled in the forest, killing the monsters, disarming traps and looking for the stairs to the twelfth floor.

As he was getting tired of avoiding all those traps and thinking that he preferred the dark corridors made of rock in the previous floors, he finally found the stairs. They were between the roots of a big tree.

Entering the next floor, the first thing Aurus noticed was that there didn't seem to be any other monsters except for the goblins. They were everywhere, small broken houses and caves were where most of the goblins were but most of them were living their daily life.

It was the first time since entering the dungeon that he really felt like he was intruding in someone else's house. Even though they were evils, they were merely living their peaceful daily lives down on the twelfth floor of the dungeon.

Of course, Aurus had heard that some dungeon masters created such places for the monsters to live for them to give birth to more babies which would mean more monsters to fight the adventurers.

Furthermore, while he did feel that he was intruding, he was also a man from a world where the monsters oppressed humans. As such, he didn't feel any sympathy at all and when the goblins started throwing themselves on him, he started a goblin massacre.

He could see from far away some women adventurers which seemed to have been abused by those goblins as they were attached to the houses, with broken clothes, scratches and blood everywhere.

As he saw this, he immediately became enraged. He had no idea why but seeing the humans being abused by the monsters enraged him. No. He knew why. The monsters were playing with them and were destroying them when they couldn't feel any hope at all. Probably, they were all hoping to one day have a husband and a few kids. Maybe they were married and had a few kids but needed to work to feed their families. And now, while they tried their hardest, they were being used as playthings by monsters.

Thinking about this and seeing their suffering while most of them seemed to want to die, Aurus' eyes became extremely cold and without waiting for anything, he started to use everything at his disposal to kill every single monster on this floor.

Using his sword to slash a goblin's neck while using his left arm to cast multiple mana arrows and mana vines to stop the goblins from coming closer to him or from running. He slashed and pierced. He beheaded, pierced their hearts, cut them in half or destroyed them completely using the mana arrows.

With Zaya next to him who was spewing flames left and right, it took them three hours to completely eradicate the goblins. When he came to, noticing the massacre he had just committed, he vomited everything he had in his stomach. It was one thing to want to kill them all but extinguishing so many lives at once gave him quite a shock.

Remembering the girls who were attacked to the walls, he approached them and used his sword to cut the ropes at their hands and feet.

Looking at their dead eyes as he saved them, he had a bad feeling in his heart. A few seconds later, the three girls looked at him with tears in their eyes.

"Kill us." They didn't have any force other than uttering these few words. As the lady on the left asked this of Aurus, the other two looked at him with hope.

After having been used as a sex toy by those monsters day in and day out for almost two months, after being defiled by those disgusting beings and giving birth to some of them due to being pregnant by the goblins, their only wish at this point was to die.

Seeing them, some tears came down from Aurus's eyes. It was an extremely difficult decision to do. But, he knew, that for them, staying in this world was more of a torture than dying.

Lowering his voice he asked: "Is there anything I can do for you?"

Understanding he meant after fulfilling their wishes, they slowly shook their heads. Aurus understood that they most likely had no living relatives and their only friends were the other two with them.

Clenching his hands, Aurus slowly nodded and prepared three mana arrows behind their heads. He didn't want them to feel fear and he knew that they wouldn't feel any pain by piercing directly into their brains.

Showing a kind smile with pain in his eyes, Aurus got down on his knees in front of them and after looking at them one last time, he willed the mana arrows to kill the three adventurers as fast as possible.

A second later, three 'thud' was heard as three bodies fell to the ground. With tears in his eyes, Aurus took their bodies and would bring them back to the adventurer's guild. Aurus at least wanted them to have a coffin and a tombstone. He was also not afraid that they would think that he had killed them as he had changed the form of the mana arrow to not link their deaths to him. Although he would be able to explain it, he didn't want all that trouble. He was quite proud of himself for having thought of this before fulfilling their wish. However, at the same time, he remembered the faces of the three young women and coldness came back to his eyes as he fixed the stairs leading to the next floor.

Aurus collected all of the goblins' bodies before making his way to the thirteenth floor.

As he got down the stairs, he arrived at a floor which was the house of the hobgoblins, the ogres and the ghouls.

Looking at the floor, he could see that although they were a lot fewer monsters, the floor was also richer in resources and had better facilities compared to the goblins above.

He took out his sword and with Zaya, they went with full force on the floor. It did help that in this world he was never tired and always had a lot of energy as after the fight with the goblins, he should have been dead tired.

This was still a mystery which he couldn't decipher yet. But, one day, he knew he would find the answer.

Fighting the hobgoblins first and exterminating them, he turned to the ogres and did the same. Their bodies were approximately twice as tall as Aurus and they were full of muscles as they wielded two big maces, one in each hand.

Aurus with the support of Zaya didn't have any problems in slaughtering those monsters before he turned to the ghouls.

Unbeknownst to Aurus, while he was fighting in this state, his sword mastery skill proficiency was being increased faster and faster as he had already broken through to S rank and was making its way to SS rank. The same was happening to his mana manipulation as some fire appeared on the arrows due to his anger. However, Aurus was never aware of that as he only concentrated on killing the monsters.

By the time he finished killing all of the monsters on this floor, his sword mastery skill had reached the SS rank skill and new information appeared next to his skill. His mana manipulation increased to S rank and didn't stop going higher as he was using it subconsciously to bring the monster's bodies to him to go faster.

Currently, having only the thought of killing in his head, he didn't notice anything else and his mind was already focused on the next floor monster.

His instinct told him that the fourteenth floor would only be the dungeon boss and finally, the fifteenth floor would be the dungeon master with the core.

Finally, Aurus made his way heavily to the next floor. Sword in his right hand and magic rotating in his left hand along with cold eyes that looked at every being like an insect, Aurus was ready to clear this dungeon and make sure everything in this dungeon was slaughtered.
