Flash of Lightning and Sound of Thunder

In the middle of a grass field, two young men stood.

"Finally. Found you." Sighing in exasperation, the black-haired boy stared at the other with dark blue eyes.

"Damn Vill. Y'all have an obsession with trying to rob me." Scratching the back of his head, the white-haired figure laughed.

"Tch, didn't you do that first?"

"That's highly debatable." The white-haired boy said playfully.

"What? No, the fuck it isn't Aven! Give me the damn pot! Or I swear! I'm gonna beat the shit out of you!"

"You'll have to pry it off my dead body." He grinned, his grey eyes pointed towards Vill.

"Say less!!!" Vill smiled, respondin instantly, without any pause he went on the attack, unleashing a flurry of kicks. His opponent smirked as he managed them with considerable ease. Slowly, they lowered their guard and began to show more openings. Planning to bait Vill into attacking a false weak spot.

Then he struck. Seeing the perfect opportunity. He countered.

Right before abruptly getting slapped in the face.

"Ha! Can't bait me you dumb fuck!"

The white hair frowned, "Hmm! I guess we can raise it a level."

"Sure, whatever ya want, lil boy!"

Aven flooded them with an electric flurry of hits. He increased his speed while moving around Vill, slowly pressuring him from different angles. As the speed of the the attacks rose, the dragon boy was unable to block them all, as hits started landing. Then, Vill grabbed their arm.

"Oh fuck." Having realized that he'd been grabbed, Aven tried to move.

"Too slow." With a single punch, Aven was disoriented as he felt his balance tip.

Vill was gonna throw another hit, but before he could do so, he found himself getting kicked up into the air.

"Oh shit!"

With inhuman speed, Aven kicked him in the side of his head, chest, and stomach, all before he even hit the floor.

Taking a few steps back to watch the fall, Aven's grey eyes had a twinkle in them, placing his fist into their back as they came down. Crashing into the ground, Vill quickly rolled over and got up.

Taking a deep inhale, his neck darkened black, glowing cracks of blue spreading, before he released a beam of energy from his mouth. Wrecking everything in its path, the beam narrowly avoided Aven. Having partially dodged, Aven shook his recently burned hand. The beam destroyed everything in its path, scorching the earth, behind him.

Aver turned around to look back at the damage, then turned Vill with a look of disbelief. He then smiled. "Jeez."

Raising his arm, the sky turned black, becoming covered by cumulonimbus clouds.

The skies erupted as they struck Aven, in a flash he was enveloped in an aura of white electricity. The power of a massive lightning bolt coursing through his body.

He then ran at Vill, slowly increasing his speed, before becoming a blur. Stopping in front of them, Aven anticipated a kick, catching Vill's leg as it came at him, he laughed, yelling like a madman, "Ha! Get baited, you fool!"

Then he ran his fist across Vill's jaw, all the aura of lightning running through his punch before vanishing.

"You fool, you thought you were the master, but in truth, you were but a puppet, and I the puppeteer!" Vill bellowed before his neck started glowing.

Aven's eyes widened in realization, quickly, he drove Vill's leg upwards, flipping him over, causing the beam he shot to miss.

Landing on his feet, Vill sighed. "Damn, really thought that would work. Come to think of it, I haven't landed a clean hit yet. Alright, prepare yourself."

Aven smirked, "Good luck!"

Vill tore the rest of his already somewhat torn shirt off. His torso had blackened, glowing cracks of blue emanated throughout the left side of his body from his heart, spreading from his torso to his left arm and leg.

A blue energy came out of his leg, propelling him into flight. Then he rocketed towards Aven. They raised his arms to block, but the impact never came.

Vill had gone behind him. They tried to turn around, but it was too late. Vill had started glowing, before unleashing a massive wave of energy.

The explosion of energy catapulted him through the air and into the ground. As the dust settled, it revealed him standing, his arms charred.

His pupils glowed a bright blue. His arm flared, covered in lightning.

"Your powers are bullshit, but mine? Well.... ehehahahahaha."

Vill cursed, "Ah balls."

He saw a flash of lightning and then his opponent was gone. Turning around, he saw Aven rearing up for a punch.

"Ah fu-"

Upon hitting him, there was a bright flash of light. Stunned by the heavy hit, he faced a barrage of incredibly fast attacks, before getting thrown.

Aven smiled, "Ya know that saying? Lightning never strikes twice? Well frankly, it's bullshit."

Hundreds of lightning bolts came down and struck him.

Thunder crashed as he was covered in blinding light.

Lightning enveloped and radiated off of him and into the ground, charring it.

"Are you ready?"

"Fuck no. Alright, here I go."

Suddenly, his power erupted, creating an explosion of energy. As the smoke faded, it revealed a shirtless Vill, his skin blackened, streaks and cracks of bright blue shining through his body, his eyes glowing a burning yellow. The power radiating off of him rose the tension. The pressure came over Aven.

"How about you Aven? You ready?

He smiled, "Me?! Fuck no. Hahaha! I'm terrified."

"Alright then, let's go."

Then Aven ran at Vill, becoming a white streak of lightning.

———

After the most epic battle of all time, the grass fields were no longer grass fields, instead, just burnt dirt.

Aven stood as Vill was on the ground.

Through long heavy breaths, he said, "I. Win."

Half his body was charred, while Vill was bleeding everywhere.

"Yep. You did."

Aven crouched and took a ring off of Vill's hand. "Anyways. Could you open this spatial ring for me real quick?"

"Why?"

"Imma take something, because I won."

"Yeah sure why not."

"Imma take this giant ass pot."

"Enjoy. Ah damn it." He said in an exhausted tone.

"Yeah, not even sure what I'd do with a pot this big."

Then he started limping away, making a trail of blood.
