The Yun Hai Sect.

As Wu Shen thought more about the possibility of joining the sect, the more it seemed like it would be the right thing to do currently. He would have a constant stream of young arrogant cultivators to face off against, he would be able to take the martial spirits that he liked from them and anyone that was enough could be...recruited as Wu Shen was currently building his own force.

'Since there is basically no downside to joining this sect, I'll just have to get rid of the two men that are following me. I'll just break the line of sight, spawn an ethereal clone, and turn myself invisible. As long as they don't come in contact with the clone, they wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.'{A/N: This will all be done with psychic powers.}

Wu Shen smirked and continued walking deeper into the forest where the trees were the most clustered together. The two men noticed that it was getting harder to keep track of him as the trees got denser. They couldn't just sense him as his Spiritual Qi was too strange and it was hidden completely by his psychic energy so the only thing they could rely on was direct sight. They wondered if he had noticed them following him but quickly deemed it impossible as he should only be at the top of the Qi Layer.

"Yang Zhu, the prince just walked directly into that cluster! Can you still see him?"

"Mister Yu, hehe, I'm older than you so how can depend on me for sight? Wh-"

"There he is again! It looks like he's leaving the dense part of the forest! Maybe he sensed a beast that was too powerful?"

"Mister Yu, why did you interrupt me? Don't you have any respect for your el-"

"Quick let's follow him! We can't afford to lose him even for a short time again."

The two men followed Wu Shen out of the forest as Mister Yu continued ignoring Yang Zhu's ramblings. Little did they know that the clone they were following was leading them far away from the real Wu Shen. In the sky, the light started to bend and slowly revealed a figure floating there with a smile on his face. This was, of course, the real Wu Shen.

'I almost messed up the timing for that. I need to continue training my psychic powers until I fully master them. Well, since I'm free now, time to go to the Yun Hai Sect.'

[Several Minutes Later]

The Yun Hai sect was located in a mountain chain called the Yun Hai Hills that was apart of the Black Wind Mountain Range. Yun Hai Hill wasn't really the biggest mountain in that mountain chain but it covered such a big area that it was easily visible from the distant sky. Yun Hai Hill even looked like a city when looked down upon from the skies. It was surrounded by eight mountains which, unlike Yun Hai Hill, seemed to rise into the sky as if reaching for the heavens. Wu Shen arrived at the sect and headed straight for gates which were guarded by two young men holding spears. When they saw him, one of them immediately shouted sternly:

"Who goes there? This is the Yun Hai Sect! State your business!"

Wu Shen responded calmly, "My name is Duan Wu Shen. I've come to join the Yun Hai Sect." The men were about to send him away but at the same time, another person had approached the gate and overheard their conversation. When the person heard Wu Shen's last name, they immediately froze and looked at the guards, shaking their heads as to warn them before they made a huge mistake. One of the guards seemed to notice this and stopped his partner from acting rashly as he took another look at Wu Shen. The guard then sent the person behind Wu Shen, who they knew to be a member of the sect to find an elder to take care of the problem.

Wu Shen didn't mind this arrangement as he would need to talk to a higher-up anyways so the faster that happened, the better for him. In a few minutes, an elder called Xue Yue arrived at the front gates in haste and quickly arrived in front of Wu Shen. He then bowed deeply and said:

"The Yun Hai Sect deeply apologizes for this offense against the Third Prince!"

The two guards immediately understood what they had done and apologized right along with the elder as they could lose their lives if Wu Shen requested it. Wu Shen didn't bother with such nonsense and just told the elder that it wasn't a problem. He then said, "All I want is the news of my arrival in this sect to not be spoken of. I'm here on a journey to improve my cultivation and if the rest of the members are afraid to fight me because of my status, I can't improve. Simple right?"

Everyone agreed with him and the elder, Xue Yue took him into the sect straight to the patriarch as only he could accept disciples outside of the sect exam. Xue Yue took Wu Shen into a large room where the Patriarch was standing talking to another elder. When they saw Xue Yue approaching, the elder quickly excused himself and the patriarch walked up to Xue Yue in an imposing manner, saying, "Elder Xue Yue, how can I assist you and who is this young man? I'm sure I've never seen him before in the sect."

Xue Yue bowed and responded, "Patriarch, I'm here today because this young man wishes to join the sect. His name is Duan Wu Shen. He is the Third Prince of our country." The patriarch was stunned when he heard what Xue Yue said. He cupped his fists together and said with sweat running down his face, "I, Patriarch Nan Gong Ling, apologize for not being able to receive you at the gates of the sect. If we had known, we would've already prepared a better greeting."

"It's alright, Patriarch. I don't mind. It's actually better that you didn't come as I don't want anyone other than the people here to know that I've come here. So, can I join the sect? I'm sixteen years old and I'm at the first level of the Ling Qi(Soul) Layer. If you want me to take a test, that will be fine too."

Nan Gong Ling was even more surprised that contrary to his name, the third prince didn't seem to be arrogant or haughty at all. It seemed like he was ready to be examined just like any other disciple even though his status as a prince was one of the highest positions in the country. He straightened himself up and answered, "There's no problem, Your Highness. You will be able to join but what happens if a disciple goes too far and-" Wu Shen took off his hood and waved his hand signaling Nan Gong Ling to stop. "If I die, the Yun Hai Sect wouldn't be blamed. So don't worry."

Nan Gong Ling exhaled a breath of relief and turned to Xue Yue, saying, "Bring three disciples of the Ling Qi Layer to the Life and Death Arena! They will have to be ranged from the first layer to the third layer. Hurry, I'll take Dua- I mean, Wu Shen here to the Arena. Don't take long."

It's back to the action next chapter fellas. I could feel that I did too much talking in this chapter.
