3 Chapter 3: Heartaches..longing
Merlin awaken seeing the people they met on the way, looking she scans the the area, seeing meliodas. Getting up and walking to him with a confused expression.
"Meli?, where is baran?" Merlin says to him.
"Listen, Merlin I need to..." meliodas try's to say.
"Has he gone to hunt, he knows I'm hungry after I sleep" She says, giggling.
The others who standing around turn there heads, refusing to make eye contact.
"Listen Merlin.." meliodas try's again.
"What is wrong with everyone?" Merlin says.
"Merlin he is gone!" Meliodas yells.
"Wh..what?!" Merlin says, laughing thinking it was a joke, looking at the faces around her.
"What...it's a funny joke, baran come out!" Merlin says looking around.
"Merlin..." meliodas says, trying to get close.
"Baran?!, enough of the jokes come out?" Merlin says, but still no one moved or was heard.
"Baran please!?, come out your scaring me!" Merlin says, her heart beating hard against her chest.
"Merlin, he is gone, he had..." a few others tried to say.
*heartbeat
"N...no..nonono, your Lying he would be Never leave me behind!, I'm his most..." Merlin says looking at meliodas who turned his head.
"His most important person.." she says, feeling her heart be slow.
"Listen Merlin he said he will return and...no Merlin wait!" Meliodas says, while speaking she takes off into the forest.
"Nonononono...he wouldn't leave me, never" Merlin says to herself, running then flying through the forest. Making it to there favorite place, a small pond that had trees, that almost looked like cherry blossoms and the tree baran always leaned back on.
[flash back]
"Why are you so mean?,stop saying those kinds of things" Merlin says, pouting.
"I'm not, there will be a day I may have to leave.." baran says, leaning and eating a apple.
"No!, wherever you go I go!" Merlin says Coming over to baran.
"But Merlin.." baran try's to say.
"No baran, you said it yourself you hate when I'm away so never!" Merlin says laying on baran lap.
"I do but there are something I can't control" baran says.
"Baran, when I'm more then a few meters from you it feels like I'm dying its a weird feeling but when I'm close I feel warm, you said you'll always be here right?" Merlin says, putting her hand to the sky, while the sun shines through on her face.
"I will Merlin, always" baran says, patting her head, the blossoms dance, scattered by the wind while he rubs her cheek.
"Promise?" Merlin says holding out her pinky, feeling his touch and the warmth he gave off.
The wind blows and a cherry blossom, lands on his hand that rubbed her face, the outside people could see a woman and a demon, beings from to different worlds but yet so close. The sun high in the sky but in this place in the shade his white flame hair danced giving off a shine, making the pink blossoms look every more beautiful.
"I promise" baran says, looking in her eyes, watching the blossom blow way and taking her pinky.
He reaches behind him, while lightning danced around his finger burning there names forever in this tree.The two sat in the sun, cracking through the trees far above as a promise was made, and a promise broken.
[end flash back]
"You lied baran!" Merlin says as her eyes water, moving towards the tree, the beautiful blossom had left this now dark place, seeing flashes of the two sitting under this tree.
'Baran?' A memory of when she saw him leaned against this very tree, sleeping as the moonlight danced, assaulted her mind.
"You left!, why not take me with you?!" Merlin says, putting her hands on the tree Baran put there names. While tears hit the ground as she felt her heart beat slow even more. Soon something deep inside her broke the world felt cold, his warmth was gone it felt like her heart stopped. The group caught up to her, watching her cry infront of a tree until.
"Ahhhhhhh!" Merlin let out a cry from her soul, the longing and confusion, the cry hit those who heard it. The pain that can not be explained in words, just a cry too show the...
Heartache and longing to be with the other person, no matter the cost.
