2 Chapter 2: take care of....

"I'm hungry baran!" Merlin says on my shoulder.

"I understand Merlin but I have to.." I try to say.

"No" Merlin says Back.

"I didn't even get to.." I say.

"No" Merlin says again turning her face.

"Come on now little monster" I say, bringing my hand up to rub her cheek.

"Fine!" Merlin says, rubbing her face on my hand.

"I'll be back" I say putting get down and disappearing.

"I told you" I say reappearing and slamming my blood sword in the ground.

"Boar, good im hungry!" She says, her eyes shining at the large boar in my hand.

"We should move away from here first" I say turning around, then feeling a tug on my tabard.

"Up?" Merlin says, looking up with puppy eyes.

"Very well" I say, lifting her up with my tail.

Moving pass the bodies of red and grey demons that laid on the ground. We walk into the forest and make fire I cooked the boar and we ate. She did as she always did as I laid back, she would fall asleep next to me when I moved, she would sleep walk to me with a angry look. When she found me she would small and lay on my chest like a puppy so I couldn't move.

"Don't leave me baran" merlin says in her sleep.

"Never" I say, patting her head. Not needing sleep but letting it take me all the same.

The moon shined down on us as the world melted away. The pressure i gave off made demon stay away from me. We spent much time together traveling not worried for the war that raged or the lives lost. She followed the warm feeling while I protected her. Nothing last forever.

(A.N there will be flash backs later of events that happened but I need to read some of the manga again sorry)

"You will take care of her right!" I say looking at the boy who held my most important person.

"You have my word, baran" the boy says, with a serious face.

"Very well, I will gift you something when the time comes" I say, walking up to Merlin and rubbing her cheek.

"They fear you, both of you..I don't not know why you must leave but very well" the boy says.

"Until we meet again little moon" I say, pulling my hand away, even in her sleep she latched on to my hand as I peeled it away leaving.

I roamed for a while, meeting interesting characters, seeing the world as the war came to a end. I stayed away from humans, they did not take kindly to demons. Finding a place like a tomb ruined long forgotten i sat in a stone chair as my body turned to black stone placing the large sword beside me i closed my eyes.

'Baran, you are not like the others'

'No Merlin I am not'

'We have been together so long, you do not grow tried of me?'

'No Merlin, I have said I will never'

'Why?'

'It is hard to explain'

'Try?'

'Through the years I have grown to love you as my family, the most important person to me'

'Uhhh??!'

'Don't make that face, it will get stuck'

'Y yo you said"

"Yes Merlin I did, I said, I love you'

Memories hit my mind in waves as my face was covered by stone. Hoping She will forgive me later, finally I was a statue, wanting for the time I could walk the earth again.
