Casting a glance behind me, a spectral figure materialised, standing at an imposing seven feet. Cloaked in majestic black and purple full-body armour, adorned with a purple halo, the figure exuded an eerie beauty. White hair, hooded and mysterious, contrasted my own, while ethereal blades floated mysteriously around. Sharp purple claws and a long blade emerging from its elbow region added to the enigma. A dark, gloomy aura emanated, sending shivers down the spine. 'This is just cool,' was the immediate thought that crossed my mind.

A peculiar sensation tingled in my right hand as I opened it. A dazzling black ray of blinding light erupted, revealing a small sickle connected to a long chain. Lightning crackled around it, giving the impression that the weapon was drenched in shadow. The pitch-black tool emitted a purple current – unmistakably a 'Kusarigama.'

The Pope, observant of the unfolding spectacle, bestowed a faint smile, seemingly satisfied with my performance. "Twin martial soul, good, good. They even complement each other. Even better. What are their names?" she inquired.

"The weapon soul is known as 'Kusarigama,' and the human-shaped soul is 'Shadow Monarch,'" I responded.

"Good names. The Shadow Monarch martial soul appears to be a fusion of both body and beast spirit, promising overall strength enhancement. The 'Kusarigama' is an exceptionally sharp weapon, possessing qualities of both attack and control systems. Both martial souls share attributes of extreme darkness, shadow, and lightning – a formidable combination indeed," she praised.

"Come, let your spirit power flow through this crystal. You'll discern your innate soul level," she instructed.

Following her guidance, I channeled my spirit power into the crystal. It radiated with a bright light, and she declared, "Excellent full soul power." Then, she extended an unexpected proposition.

"Tell me, Yuze, would you like to become my disciple – the only person on the mainland to overcome the burden of a twin martial soul? I'll guide you, ensuring your potential is maximized."

"I greet you, Master," I respectfully bowed.

"Good. You won't regret this decision. Now, tell me, what gift would you like? Don't deny it; consider it a ritual between a master and her disciple," she insisted.

"Then, Master, I won't be shy in asking. I desire a place where I can cultivate efficiently," I replied.

"Granted. Come with me; I'll take you there," she declared, placing a hand on my shoulder. In an instant, we vanished and reappeared in front of the Pope's residence. From there, she led me to a suite – a grandiose abode with two floors, adorned with opulent furnishings, gold, gem-studded furniture, and a carpet crafted from the fur of a fifty-thousand-year-old soul beast.

Entering a room within the suite, a serene ambiance greeted us – a closed space with burning incense sticks. The Pope unveiled the room's secret, a pearl from an exceedingly rare sea whale known to condense soul power up to tenfold in its vicinity.

"This pearl turns this room into a haven for cultivators. You can experience ten times faster cultivation speed here. Take rest for today. Tomorrow, I'll guide you to hunt your first soul, and you can decide which soul to cultivate first. According to me, both are top-quality martial souls," she explained.

"I understand, Master. I've decided to cultivate the 'Shadow Monarch' martial soul and my first soul, as it offers versatility and overall enhancement. Thank you for your gift," I expressed, bowing my head in gratitude.

"A good choice. Your foresight is impressive," she commended, stroking my head before vanishing once more. Left alone, I removed my coat, lay on the luxurious bed, and called out to the system.

"Just as I thought you have a voice now. That's nice and convenient and also better than those annoying systems I read about."

"Now that's convenient, so tell me what your functions are. For the last six years I've only been seeing a blue window with a quest stating I need to awaken my martial soul to activate the system totally. It was good that I figured out how to obtain system points(SP) or all these six years would be just a waste."

*The system will be a burden to the soul if it wasn't integrated slowly to perform with the best efficiency, so the quest was just my excuse to earn time and properly integrate into your soul.*

*Now I'll explain my functions-*

A translucent blue black system interface opened in front of my face then texts started appearing on it and the system spoke.

• quests

• shop

Status : does exactly what you expect it to do, it shows your condition.

Inventory : separate space used to store things

Quests : The system assigns quests to you and once you complete it you'll receive a reward. The quests are not mandatory to do so you can skip a quest if you want to and you'll not have to face any penalty of any sorts.

You can also refresh a quest or even a quest reward if you don't like it using System Points(SP). The amount of SP required will be dependent on the grade of the quest.

SP is essentially the main currency of the system. And you can acquire it by many means. Like hunting, sparring, killing or even you can sell things to the system to earn points.

Shop : The shop can have 30 items in total at a time. And 5 of them will be of no cost so you can take them for free but you'll have to pay for the other items in the store. The store will refresh after a month. And you'll get another batch of new items.

Grade of the items will be random and purely luck based. You can also spend SP to refresh the store.
