1 CHAPTER 1: THE BIG STRUGGLE

It was 10:30 p.m. On that April 18, 2018, everyone in the police station, from the 78th precinct of Brooklyn in the city of New York, was running, everyone had a reason to be agitated, the agents, the detectives, even the police captain. Everyone felt ecstatic, because they had managed to capture whoever had them in suspense because of the many crimes that had occurred, 15 in total, 15 men murdered in different circumstances, all the murders looked like accidents, however, each and every one of those murdered was connected to each other, but how? What had these men done to be taken to death? What was your biggest sin to pay with your life?.

Everyone present was unaware of it and wanted to know, and for that they would have to ask the person captured about it. While they asked themselves these questions, the detectives appeared and Mason and Richardson escorted the culprit, a tall woman with light brown hair and white skin, who walked haughty and proud, smiling as if she had achieved something important, while looking contemptuously to all police personnel as she was taken to the interrogation room.

Meanwhile, Detective Mason, a 45-year-old man, tall, 1.85 tall, with straight black hair, beige eyes and a strong gaze, had her handcuffed and with one hand opened the room, seated her with a single jerk. while telling him "here, sit down, we'll talk" with his deep voice, meanwhile Richardson, Mason's partner, was a man of mixed ethnicity, tall, 1.80 tall, wavy hair, honey eyes and with a worried look, he carried in his right hand the suitcase with which they caught her, holding it as if the entire case depended on it. Upon entering the interrogation room with Mason, he asked her directly "Do you need it?", to which she nodded, and followed the location of the suitcase with her eyes.

When they left the interrogation room, Richardson asks Mason Do you think she will tell us everything? "," That she will be in that suitcase? ". Mason just gave him a look trying to understand the reason for so many murders, to which he replied "I don't know, only she will tell us what she did or didn't do... Man, only her look denotes danger"!

15 minutes later, they both entered the room, determined to get the information they needed to close the case, understand the murders and above all, why them? They closed the door while she slept on the interrogation table, with a loud sound from her file waking her up, to which she responded with a look of annoyance, sitting up so she could stare at them and smile evilly. At that moment, Mason told her "I don't think this is the right time to laugh", to which Richardson confirmed looking at the file and then turning to her "here are all your misdeeds, so why don't you erase that smile and start to speak?". Giving a strong sigh while closing and opening their eyes, they replied "yes, of course I'm going to tell you everything, of course!, with a sweet and slow voice, however, before I have three conditions" Richardson refuted "I don't think so that you are in a position to condition something that we already know you are guilty of", Mason, supporting his express partner "Of course, you also face the death penalty", she with her evil smile and contempt told them "Well gentlemen, my conditions or no information". Both detectives looked at each other and agreed to agree to her conditions, to which she expressed "Well gentlemen, my conditions are: 1. A large pot of coffee with little sugar 2. Cigarettes 3. Each name and relationship you will look for on the net in front of me and finally I need them to turn around so I can get all of this off of me.

" What? What do you have to get rid of? Mason asked. Do you think it's really me that you see in front of you? She expressed…While she gave them a penetrating look, she asked Richardson "Do you remember my suitcase?" Richardson nodded, while she indicated that he take off the handcuffs. Richardson, hesitating as to whether or not to do so, gently removed them, making sure with his gaze that she was inside her shaft.

She got up slowly and told them "Gentlemen, please turn your eyes away", Mason, puzzled, told him "Privacy right now is what you don't have", "Fine" she said, turning on her body facing the wall, while she took off her clothes and then removed the latex suit from her body, showing her true skin, while from her suitcase she took out a strappy blouse to put on when she took off the latex. Both detectives were surprised, they would never have imagined what they were witnessing. Minutes later, she sat down and in front of them took off her mask showing her real face, her real hair and her real look, which Although she was covered with the mask, she was still malevolent, with disdain and contempt, while they detailed her dark eyes, with sensual lips and curly hair, she expressed "I finally got rid of this, uff! She was drowning me!!" she with joy she said it.

Mason and Richardson looked stupefied, they did not believe what their eyes saw, they felt mocked, and in turn surprised that the person they had apprehended was nothing more than a disguise, questions, mixed emotions, no They didn't know what to say or what to do, they just looked surprised and looked at her with uncertainty, meanwhile she pulled them out of their astonishment by asking them "Well, gentlemen, shall we start or wait?" They immediately left the room and stood in front of the mirror, looking uncertainly and wondering is she really the person we caught? Mason looked over and over again at the photo and then looking at Richardson said "dude, this doesn't end today, we'll have a week full of information and corpses, damn it! Why didn't we see it before?" Richardson still elated by what he was seeing he replied "Who would have imagined such a big turnaround? ", "Look at her!, there is still something that doesn't add up to me but as you say, it will be a fatal week!". At that moment, Claudette Cox, the district attorney, entered the room where the detectives were, greeting them and asking "well, where is she? She "is seeing her," Richardson said. " It's a joke?" asked the prosecutor, "she is nothing like the person you arrested", "it is her" said Mason, "hahahahaha, can you explain to me what is happening here?" Mason replied "I was wearing a latex suit, we had the same reaction as you, we did not expect what we saw". " Shit!" said the prosecutor, "and now how will they get the information?" "She gave us several conditions, she has already met one of them, which was to take off her suit." "Well, whatever she asks to close the case, give it to her! I want to know and have everything at hand when we go to trial, and please provide her with anything she asks for after she starts talking. Did she ask for a lawyer?" "No," Richardson said, "Oddly enough she's willing to talk and give all the information we need", "Well, start!! what are you waiting for? The prosecutor shouted at them "I don't want anything loose, everything, but everything she asks for after her conditions is important, and even more so now that she doesn't want a lawyer" staring at them "and if you have to stay with her much longer, do it ", " Ya! " shouted the prosecutor.

They immediately headed to different places, Mason getting a laptop, paper and pencil, while Richardson got coffee and cigarettes. Meanwhile, in the living room, she looked at her nails and whispered a song to de-stress. At the moment Captain Johnson approached the detectives and took them to his office, closing the door behind them, he asked them "Why did the prosecutor Cox leave the room quickly? Mason still stunned by the shock of what she saw he replied "Our suspect she is not the same person we brought to the station", "How?" asked the captain, Richardson quickly replied "she had a latex suit with her, we were also surprised like you", "I imagine that I already requested a lawyer", "no" said Mason, "she wants to talk and wants every piece of information. Let's confirm in front of her ", the captain looking directly at them and pointing his finger at them said " I don't care if you don't go home, from now on you have a full week to get the information, I'll give you today to go home and bring everything you need to stay here with her until they finish", "yes captain" they both answered, "another thing" said captain Johnson "no one, but absolutely no one should know about the latex suit, not even the media. It is understood? "Yes sir" they both replied. "Go now, leave her in the cell while you go pick up her things."

Both left in the direction of their homes, but not before returning to the interrogation room and making sure to take the suspect to the cell, while Mason led her by the arm in the direction of the cell, Richardson carried the suitcase that she had, for what I express "Careful!" To which he replied "what is it that you have in her that is so important?", "You will know at the right time, honey" she told him while outlining that evil smile and looking at him in a penetrating and defiant way. Meanwhile, the captain left the office, taking advantage of the fact that both were going to carry out his orders, and began to speak to everyone in the station, "listen everyone! From now on, no information about the case or the suspicion will be shared, no one outside of this precinct including the media should know about what is going on with the suspect, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY! And whoever leaks any information will be suspended for a month without pay, GOT IT?! and everyone looking at each other.

On the other side, Richardson was heading to Queens, exactly to the Richmond Hills area, while driving he hummed a nursery rhyme, since he would have the exact time to be with his children who were 5 and 7 years old, both boys and his wife while thinking about them, the image of his wife appeared in his mind, who was a Latin woman with blond hair and brown eyes, thanking God every day for the beautiful family he had built with an intelligent woman since she was systems engineer and one of the best in her area. Before the traffic light turned green, Richardson called her wife from her car "hi honey" as he thought about how she loved hearing her voice "hi honey, what's up?" , "Nothing dear, tell me, do we need something in the fridge to buy it on the way home?" to which she replied "Well, the milk, bread, meat, eggs and flour are over, plus we want some chocolate, thanks love" Lucia said from the other side of the line "Okay honey, I'll take everything, I love you", "I love you honey", changed the traffic light and made a short detour to the nearest supermarket. Richardson parked his car and went directly to the door of the supermarket, where he took a basket to make purchases. Richardson was a quiet man, he decided to be a police officer because that was his vocation, his father was a police officer, his mother was a police officer and they were both proud since he had reached the level of detective with a lot of effort. Richardson had obtained what he always wanted, and even more so when he married Lucia Peña, a woman with an athletic body whom he met in a cafeteria because both were fighting for the last cupcake and from there they began their romance and then their marriage, 10 years married. and although they had difficulties, arguments, disagreements and others, they never thought about infidelity, they always solved things by talking and reaching agreements. Both were in love, both were happy to be parents, because Robert and Julia were born into a happy home. After shopping, Richardson went straight to his house, eager to hug his children and kiss his wife. He arrived at his house in the Richmond Hills neighborhood, an ideal place to raise his children, when he opened the door his children ran to his arm and his wife, seeing him, kissed him as always, received the purchases and as if he guessed that something was not well he said "well, what's going on?" Richardson looked at her with concern and told her "we must stay at the station, there is a big case, we caught the suspect and we must obtain the information now that she does not have and has not wanted to ask for a lawyer"… "How long did Lucia ask? ", Richardson replied with his eyes lowered and looking at the floor, while hitting the wooden counter in the kitchen "a week"… "a week?, do you know what it is to be without you at home for a week?" "Is she a serial killer?" Sighing, Richardson said "yes, between us, there were 15 men" "Oh, my God! Is that the case you were working on?" , "yes, and that's why we have to stay in the precinct with her" said Richmond, "well, I understand, just keep calling and talking to us, you know we love you very much" as she leaned closer and kissed him "I knew that I had married the prefect woman" they both smiled and hugged each other, went to play with the children and enjoyed the chocolate.

While Richmond was enjoying his family, Mason had called his casual girlfriend with whom he was having sex, he wanted to forget for a moment about what was happening with the case and with his father. After 4 in the afternoon, Mason called Richmond and asked him "I'm already leaving the house, and you?" Richmond replied "yes, I already packed and said goodbye to my family, see you at the precinct", both said goodbye to the people who were with them and took the route to the precinct. They arrived almost at the same time and went up the stairs to the offices. They went straight to their desks, sorting through the documents, when Mason called a police officer named Kiergan and asked, "Did you give the detainee something to eat yet?" "Yes," Kiergan said, "we brought her a sandwich and a soda" … "and you ate it?" asked Mason, "yes, he looked at me out of the corner of his eye and ate it, he seemed to enjoy it" Kiergan said surprised. Meanwhile Mason sighed and said "Well thank you, anything we need we will need your help" Mason said as he asked her to leave "sure, I'm here to help" walking away Kiergan said. At that moment Mason and Richmond sat in their chairs and began to review the documentation and evidence of the case, both had in their notes every piece of information and evidence collected since they were working on the case more than two years ago, they never imagined being able to finish it, the connections of it were illogical but at the same time out of the normal that they knew, every time they reviewed it they were stunned by the how they died, how their bodies had been and how it was possible that a woman of 1.80 tall and with an athletic and thin body was able to handle so much weight for each of the bodies.

It was 10 o'clock at night, while they analyzed the entire case to be prepared and have all the material ready to begin the interrogation. As they cleaned up the desk, Mason asked Richardson, "Isn't that weird?" " what?" Richardson said uneasily, "doesn't it seem strange to you that we caught her so easily, that we found the clues after a year and a half so easily?" "Come on Mason!! We already have it!, what else can we do? Let's continue with the process, let's do the interrogation and finish this week by taking her to court" said Richardson, almost begging Mason to go rest and continued "Look, let's rest, tomorrow we will have a cool head to obtain the final information from the murders please!!" Mason looked at him out of the corner of his eye and said "yes, you're right, it's better to be fresh for tomorrow, I want to know how you did all this", "that, you'll see that we will close this case with a flourish, now let's clean up and go to sleep". Then it is this they finished cleaning, put away the documents and locked the drawers, in the same way they kept all the files to make sure that no one took them out.

They went directly to the cabins of the precinct, with the idea of sleeping and gathering energy to continue with the new task, while they changed their clothes to put on the night clothes and fix the bunk to sleep, Richardson asked his partner "Do you think that did she actually do it? She really she was able to murder 15 men? "I thought we wouldn't talk about it until tomorrow" he said as he checked his phone and dialed his father again "hi dad, tell me how you are, call me please, I haven't heard from you for days" Mason said when hanging up again for the last time in the day, "Oh, Mr. Mason must be having fun not answering you" Richardson said a little joco, "He hasn't spoken to me for 3 days, I'm worried about his health" "Come on!!" Richardson said, "He's not a kid anymore, since your mother's death it's the best thing he can do, have fun, you know?" "Yes, you're right, I should let him enjoy himself, so he can have a good time, even if mom isn't here" said Mason sadly "Sleep well Richardson, tomorrow we'll have a great day", "you too Mason, tomorrow our marathon starts", They turned off the lights in the room and while Richardson was turning the bed, Mason was thinking about his mother, his mother a tall, white lady with refined features, hazel eyes and black hair, who had taught him many good things and who In turn, he left this world committing suicide, although his death was never clarified, leaving everyone with why and how.

On the other side of the room, in the cell, she smiled as if she had triumphed over the law, thinking about her next move, she felt calm, a little cold and wanted to sing, although she hummed to feel comfortable in the room. cell, since for her his plan had started the way he had planned it and was ending the way he had designed it. Suddenly the image of a happy family came to mind, that family that she enjoyed so much, the family that she had built with so much effort, that image filled her with pain and sadness, although she controlled herself and continued laughing, eagerly awaiting the morning to reveal her first murders with pride and haughtiness, she was not afraid to show how safe she felt as she looked at the suitcase where she kept all her secrets. While she was immersed in her thoughts, Kiergan, before going home, brought her a blanket and several personal hygiene items "here, you'll need to cover yourself and clean yourself", she looked at him with a little contempt and gratitude, while he received and Kiergan smiled at him.

Kiergan left the cell and went to her house, while she was sheltered and continued in her thoughts, when the lights went out and everything was silent in the station, as they waited for a new beginning. No one imagined that from that day on nothing would ever be the same, not the detectives, not the captain, not even the police officers would be able to imagine that her presence was not by chance, they were all and were part of a great plan, which was carried out years ago by an event that only she wanted to make known, an event that had caused her great pain and great rage that only she would know from within.
