1 Chapter 1 - I got the power!
"Hello, shit heads this is your future master prankster of Seaside High" I screamed in front of our school gate bursting with energy while my right hand is pointed in the sky.
"Hey! Are you going to enter or not!? And please shut your god damn mouth" An equally high energy produced by the guard with burning eyes countered me. *shees* rude much? I will give you AIDS you bald man, just kidding I'm a good guy after all.
I entered the gate while still grinning.
This is my first day being a high school student and my dream is to become a master prankster. Not really a difficult dream, it's quite simple if I may speak. This school is composed of 2 twin buildings connected by 2 bridges on the second and third floors.
I got into my room and wait for our teacher to arrive.
Our room is clean and tidy almost sparkling I wonder who is our janitor in here I want to know!
Our classroom door opened and our beautiful, shinning, shimmering, splendid teacher had arrived. I'm not even joking he is a beautiful man with a great posture and long wavy black hair reaching his waist.
the girls started whispering and squealing while the boys having a confused look in their face whispering 'maybe I am gay'.
Me? I'm panicking. yeah, this is bad, this is the worst. why? well...
*Pppffffffftttttttt* A resounding fart sound heard by the whole room, some students have their mouths open.
The teacher has dark lines forming on his forehead visibly pissed that he had fallen to a prank. I mean, how do you even fall to that prank. I obviously, made it look like a prank so you could avoid it why would you sit on the wooden chair that clearly has a fart cushion!? It's visibly there why? why? Why!??
The teacher stood up surveying the entire room for the perpetrator.
I raise my hand straight then stare at his eye. I mean if you desire to be a master prankster you have to take the credit for what you have done.
"Why would you do that Mr... ?" questioned by the teacher looking at me with fiendish expression, like he is going to wait for me outside the school and shove my head into my butt.
"*Ehem* Sir! it is me, Ren August! Sir! I want to create memories to tell my grandchild, Sir!" then I proceed to do my twenty push-ups. My teacher has no idea what was occurring right now like he is contemplating why would this student start doing push-ups all of a sudden.
"Take your sit Mr. August and meet me at my office later" my teacher appears to take the pacifist path, I'm truly glad he didn't wait for me to complete my push-ups, cause look at me I can't even do five push-ups it would take me forever to do 20 push-ups.
I notice a girl sitting next to me holding her laughter and failing to do it. I take this opportunity to introduce myself to her, as a gentleman it is my responsibility to introduce myself first.
"Hi I'm Ren August nice to meet you, my dream is to become the king of pirates," I said to her making my best killer smile. My sister said that my smile is the greatest feature of me, it makes her wanna puke. I then offered her a hearty handshake.
She then received my hand with a fist bump... (-_-) clearly, she is panicking, quite shy aren't cha'.
" ... Ok? " I don't know how to respond at that so I just act like nothing has happened and return my focus to the teacher. Our teacher then begins to introduce herself.
"Hello, my name is Ava Taylor and I'm gonna be your adviser" Ha! Fools! the world is at my mercy hahaha! *diabolical inner laughter* You believed that I have a male teacher, don't you? look at that hourglass figure and long wavy black hair only fools will presume that is a man! ahem, I don't even know who I am talking to...well maybe I'm going insane, nevermind then.
Mrs. Ava starts her lesson in algebra all that kind of shit. Well while she is busy teaching us I'm gonna tell you my saga of how I received my power this day that I'm not even certain if it is working. I mean, I'm not even blue so I'm not sure If my genie power is working. Well, this is how I got my powers...
[1 hour before the school starts]
Six in the morning I was eating in a convenience store for my breakfast when I heard a voice in my head saying 'If you desire power, follow the yellow brick road' I forced myself to ignored the voice and continued my breakfast. Coffee and sandwiches are the best in the morning, Especially sandwiches they're the food of Gods and the usual breakfast of company slaves.
it's six-fifteen when I was done eating my breakfast and start walking off to school. My eyes opened wide when I see a yellow brick road, I followed it and arrived at a dark street filled with trash and dirt.
"Hello, young man" from behind, a deep scary voice scares the crap out of me. I look back and see an old man wearing a robe. He has a hunch back and deep wrinkles that seemed to carve a map of his life.
"Don't be nervous and don't pity me, young man, I have witnessed the world destroy and rebuild itself I have seen what life has to offer, believe me, I've seen it all" The old man spoken, I can see his experiences within his eyes. Despair, sadness, loneliness, happiness, and adventures.
"I want you to be my successor, I want to insert my powers into you," Said the old man with a weary voice.
"Hahaha, Sorry Old Man I don't swing that way I can introduce you to a girl if you want though," I said while touching my butt getting ready to run if needs arise.
The old man looked at me with a crafty expression then snapped his finger and the scene transition to a forest, did we just teleported? I have to go to school you know.
"Do you accept or not" I can see the old man is getting agitated by the lack of my response.
"What's the catch?" I asked, repeat after me, there is no such thing as free lunch. I mean who doesn't want free power but you got to ask what you got to ask.
"Your happiness," Said by the old man
"Say what now? Can you please elaborate I'm quite an idiot you see. Does the power that you will give me involves killing my grandpa after saying with great power comes with great responsibility?" I ask comically, I'm still quite afraid of him to come on dude, this is my first-day learning magic is real and this old man wants me to inherit some kind of power.
*clears throat* "I am a Genie, of course without a lamp." A big floating screen suddenly appeared and project a scene where I can see a man saying "Genie I wish to set you free", then the genie travell around the world making miracles like turning water into wine, making friends, making sex friends, having a family, etc...
"I want my family to have a normal life so I didn't give them my power, I lived a happy life" He smile and look to the sky reminiscing then explained. "Kid the power that you will inherit from me is powerful but there are limitations first you can't increase, revive, or give life, life force is the most powerful form of energy that even my powers can't produce. Second, you can't turn back the time it's against the law of the universe, only God can do that. Third every time you use your power your happiness will decrease. A genie's body is eternal means you can't die or be destroyed if you have happiness. For me, I've experienced everything that makes me happy so my happiness meter stopped increasing" explained by the old man with a bitter smile.
"What do you mean happiness? Can you even measure happiness?" the old man then waved his hand.
[76] the number 76 floating in the midair display itself to me.
"The number there represents my happiness, if it reaches zero I will die, I have to choose my successor to continue my legacy and I choose you Billy errr I mean Ren. Will you be my successor?" Asked by the old man.
"Yes!" I shouted using all my vocal power. Hey I know I didn't tell him my name but you know, Magic. It might be more awesome if he tells me 'You're a wizard Renny'.
Multiple colors of energy released from the old man's body and rushed towards me. I feel my power level is increasing, its over three thousand. I can see the world now in details thankfully I don't have to experience a traumatic experience to awaken my power.
"My name is Genie! I the first genie in existence bestowed upon you my powers and abilities! Be happy and be the source of happiness for others. My son, be the hope of this dying world" The old man smiled gently towards me, then his body turned to ashes, It appears like certain someone snapped his fingers.
After that scene, I realized that I am back in the dark alley. I quickly check the time and it is six-thirty. My face whitened then I rush to go to school, I don't want to be late on my first day. Old man, I will make this world a better place I promise you that. after all, laughter is the best medicine. Will the laughter gas of joker suffice?
