9 Chapter 8

After eating from KFC both Logan and Jhonny went to a clothing store and started to explore, Logan give Jhonny suggestions on the clothes and both of them soon finished their shopping.

 Logan suggested that they should explore the store some more and Jhonny just shrugged and followed him, while exploring the store Logan suddenly bumped into a girl and said," I am sorry, I was not looking straight."

Logan suddenly looked at the girl and found that the girl he bumped into was none other than Alex. Alex also looked at Logan and asked," Now what are you doing here?"

Logan smiled and pointed at Jhonny and said," Jhonny wanted to buy some clothes for himself and I was just helping him."

Alex nodded and Logan asked," So how's your shopping going?"

Alex showed him her dress and Logan noticed that it was the same colour that he suggested and smiled but didn't ask anything about it and saw that Gloria was not there.

Logan asked," So where is Gloria?"

Alex huffed and said," She went to the washroom and I am passing time looking around the store."

Logan nodded and gave Johnny some money and said," Johnny, can you please go and buy ice cream for us."

Johnny was about to decline but then he noticed Logan's gaze and took the money and left the store.

Alex said," Hey, you didn't have to do that."

Logan smiled and said," oh it's just ice cream and he won't mind helping me. so you bought a cream colour dress."

Alex nodded and said," Yeah, Gloria said that this colour will suit me."

Logan nodded and said," Yeah I also think that you will look beautiful in this."

Alex smiled and both of them didn't say anything because they didn't know what to say anymore. Soon Johnny bring ice cream for them so the three of them ate the ice cream.

Gloria arrived so Logan also said bye to Alex and left the shop with Johnny.

After one week.

During this week both, Alex And Logan started to meet continuously and become close friends and Alex also warmed up with Johnny so the three of them became close friends.

The dinner with the Dunphys also went smoothly and Logan has to say that this family was a very rare one in the world but Olivia and Alfred were happy to meet them.

Dunphys were also surprised by Logan's house which was very big and had so many workers to work for him.

Everyone noticed that Alex and Logan were together the whole time they were at Logan's house but a small thing which only Olivia and Claire noticed was that both of them treated each other as friends most of the time. you could see Logan's tries at advancement but Alex just ignored them.

Hailey asked both Olivia and Claire," So for how many years we will have to see this?"

 Olivia and Claire sighed and shrugged their shoulder and just went back to the kitchen. soon it was time for Dunphys to go back and Logan said to Alex," if you had anything in which my help is necessary then, please call me."

Alex nodded and said," I will and I hope you can also share your problems that's what friends do."

Logan nodded with a smile and said," Yeah, that's what friends do."

After escorting Dunphys Logan come back home and saw Olivia looking at him with a motherly smile and said," Aww, are you sad about being friend zone by a girl?"

Logan chuckled and said," Haha, it's not like we knew each other for months, we just started talking 7 days ago, so it's alright even if she sees me as a friend."

Olivia smiled and said while patting his shoulder," Yes that's the spirit and I know that if you try your hardest then no one can snatch her from you."

Logan smiled and asked," Do you think it's alright to say something like this to an 11-year-old."

Olivia said," Not to a normal kid but it's alright to say this to Logan Wilson."

Logan nodded and said," I get it and I think it's very late now so I should go to sleep because tomorrow Wilson industry's new branch company will launch their first Bikes on the market."

Olivia smiled and nodded. After Logan went back to his room Olivia's smile disappeared from her face and she asked Alfred," Did you check their family's background thoroughly and make sure that they are not after his money."

Alfred nodded and said," Their family's background is very normal and they never even had a police case except for some cases of breaking traffic laws."

Olivia nodded and said," Good but I want you to check again. that girl named Hailey does not have a good personality and what if Alex also grew up to be like her?"

Alfred nodded and said," Yeah, I understand what you are trying to say Olivia but I trust his judgment and I will until the end."

Olivia frowned and said in a cold voice," You do as you please but remember that I will not let him walk on edge for anyone In his life because for me there is no value in those billions of dollars if I can't see him happy in every aspect because when our children left us to die in that cold night, he was the one who gives us a roof on the head."

Olivia left after saying her words and as soon as she left the calm expression on Alfred's face immediately became a cold one and he muttered," Do you think I love him less than you? If it weren't for his heart I would never have let him associate with an unknown family that much."

Suddenly a man wearing black clothes comes behind him and Alfred orders,"  Start keeping an eye on other people related to Dunphys."

Alfred exhaled and just went to convince the angry Olivia.
