4 Chapter 3

Claire opened the door and saw a boy older than Hailey with messy hair, wearing a black jacket she already guessed who he was and asked," Hello, you must be Dylan right?"

Dylan smiled and said," Hey, Dylan yeah."

Claire said," I am Hailey's mother."

Until then Hailey already come beside Dylan and pulled his hands to take him to her room but Claire suddenly caught his hand and started to ask him some questions suddenly the doorbell rang again and Claire called Phil.

Claire said," Phil!!, can you please open the door."

Phil replied," Okay."

Phil opened the door and saw a boy of Alex's age and asked," Hello, you must be Logan right, here for the project with Alex."

Logan nodded with a smile and said," Yes sir and I hope Alex is at home right now."

Phil nodded and said," yeah she is in her room, can you just wait in the living room while I call her."

Logan nodded and went inside the house and saw Claire holding Dylan's hand and remember that this is the first episode of season 1 and the best time to cultivate his and Alex's relationship.

Logan greeted Claire who just smiled awkwardly because of the situation at the moment and Logan said," Hello ma'am, these are some cakes and Cookies my aunt has prepared."

Claire said," Please say thank you to your aunt from my side."

Logan nodded and said," Okay and I should take them to the living room. please don't mind me and carry on what you were doing."

Claire left Dylan's hand and Hayley seeing the opportunity immediately pulled him to her room while Claire welcomed Logan to her house, Alex also come to the living room by that time with the materials required for their project.

Alex said while pointing at the couch on the side and said," you sit there and don't try to get too close, also I hope you have done the research for the project."

Logan nodded and said," Yes ma'am and I hope you treat this lowly servant of yours with your most precious and expensive thing 'Kindness."

Alex didn't say anything and started opening her notes and Logan took out his laptop and started showing her the Pdf and reports he created.

Alex saw all these reports and said," Wow, we don't have much to do now and we can be free soon."

Logan shook his head and said," we can still do lots of things like..."

Logan started telling her ways to improve their project and Alex was shocked but Phil and Claire who were listening to their conversation were also surprised by the ideas Logan come up with. (AN:/ I didn't right any ideas because I don't have any😑)

Claire whispered to Phil," He is handsome and Intelligent as well as he is well mannered and knows how to make a girl's parents feel at ease."

Phil nodded and said," yeah, Alex is also our most intelligent kid while it is a good thing for parents that their children are intelligent because of this Alex never made many friends at school. so it's a good thing that if this boy becomes her friend."

Claire replied with an authoritative voice," Yeah but just friends for now nothing else."

Phil just nodded while looking at her with a blank look.

After Logan give all the ideas he thought about Alex looked at him with an amazing look and Logan just smirked and said," I know that I am handsome but you don't have to keep staring at me."

Alex just mph and said," Who will stare at you and why would you always come to talk to me in class when you have so many kids trying to be your friends?"

Logan smiled and asked," Are you Jealous Alex?"

Alex said," Why would I be jealous of you? it's not like I have time to make friends from scoring at the top of the class."

Logan replied," Second actually because I am the one who scores top in every subject and as for why I want to be friends with you, it's because you are a truthful person."

Alex frowned and asked," stop talking like an old man and what does a 'truthful person' mean anyway."

Logan sighed and said," My dad used to sell licensed weapons at a small shop while my mother was a doctor who like helping people but one day they died in a car accident and that was the day I realised how cruel this world can be. All those people my mother and father helped turned their backs on me, I was the only one present at their funeral and I didn't have enough money to make a proper grave for them.

it took all our savings to clear the hospital bills for treatment of trying to save them before their death or they won't hand over the bodies and it took me 2 days without resting to dig graves for them in the backyard of the house. that was the day when Wilson industries were established I took the old pistols in dad's shop and created a perfect pistol which makes no sound and recall with auto-firing in one week and sell its blueprint to the government for around 1 million. After all this time in these 3 years, I have gained a good eye for people and you Alex are the only person other than my aunt and uncle who has never tried to befriend me because of my money or looks"

Logan realized he was saying something very sensitive to an 11-year-old girl and immediately apologised," I am sorry for telling you something like this and spoiling our mood of study."

Alex shook her head and said," No I should apologise as you were trying to genuinely become my friend and I just behave like that with you but it's just when you are getting ignored by most of your classmates and suddenly the most popular boy of the school try to become friends with you."

Logan nodded and said," No I understand your situation and it's completely alright. Looks like we won't be able to study like this so I think we should take a break now."

Alex nodded and she suddenly remembered," Oh shit, mom told me to purchase some things from the supermarket for cake frosting."

Logan nodded and said," We can go now, it's not like the supermarket is very far away from here."

Alex looked at him and said," What you are going to come supermarket with me."

Logan nodded and said," yeah, what am I supposed to do at your house without you, as we recently become friends so it's natural for me to accompany you to make our friendship stronger."

Alex asked," When did I say we are friends."

Logan said in a defeated voice," Oh come on."

Alex just chuckled and went to take her coat.
