Unlocking New Mystery System Functions

Leaving the cabin, Elliot was met by five men, all wearing an outfit similar to the one Elliot had fought a short time ago. They were all looking at Elliot with their most menacing looks on their faces. Elliot just stared at them expressionlessly, waiting for them to do their show. But Elliot's complexion was pale from the pain in his leg, and he was pale from all the excessive movement he had done today after almost a year of sedentariness. This made the men think that Elliot was afraid, giving them more confidence.

Even if Elliot knew of the misunderstanding these men had committed, he would not correct them. If this would give him an advantage, with everyone underestimating his real ability, why would he screw it up? Honor? Is that eating? Elliot even before he was arrested already believed that something like honor mattered little, and after the hell, he lived through, he was absolutely sure.

Even though he was a violent person, Elliot always managed to direct this violence to those he thought deserved it. After leaving the underground fights because of his injury, he was an exemplary citizen and a role model. And what did he get out of it? Fuck honor, integrity, whatever! The winners of war are those who survive!

"I learned that you have been disturbing my brother while he was calling our father who is in jail. That is a serious offense, especially on our block, isn't it Matt?" The fatter man, who appeared to be their leader, spoke up.

"Yes, boss. How are you going to make up for his broken nose? Hospital is pretty expensive these days you know? A lot of Brezik credits are needed." The man named Matt replied.

Brezik credits are the currency used in the Brezik country. Metal currency, and paper money, stopped being used a long time ago. Nowadays, everyone has a card, and this card serves as your identity, and also as a way to pay for anything you want to buy.

Even though his face was still expressionless, Elliot in his mind found the scene in front of him deplorable. There is only one reason why these five men didn't attack him as soon as he left the phone booth. They knew that Elliot took the gun from the man he had beaten, making these idiotic thugs too afraid to act against a cripple. In Elliot's mind, these men are pathetic. But for now, he will play along. He wants to try to unlock one more secret mission, if possible.

As much as he tried to change his expression to look more convincing, Elliot found that he could not change his expression. He continued with that expression empty of any emotion, with a dead look in his eyes. It's as if he had died a long time ago, and by mistake had not yet been buried. Giving up his acting skills, Elliot just put that subject aside.

"Oh? Is that so? Then tell me, gentlemen. How can we settle this?" Elliot said politely.

Although he looked polite, to all the people watching from their home windows, he was just a boy afraid of the bandits. The thugs even gave a sneering smile seeing this scene, their self-confidence rising by leaps and bounds.

"Let's talk about my brother's hospital fees. We have a house nearby, we can talk more quietly there." The fat man said as he approached and discreetly raised his jacket, showing a much better weapon than the one Elliot had at the moment. Elliot nodded in agreement and was already following the men. It wouldn't do for Elliot to attract too much attention at the moment. He had too many things to do in this town yet, he didn't want anyone watching his every move.

Then the fat man, in an attempt to appear close to Elliot, put his arm around Elliot's neck, as if they were both intimate. Although it was uncomfortable, an ordinary person could still tolerate such a thing. But for Elliot it was different. As soon as the fat man touched him, he remembered what he struggled to forget. There was a time in prison when the guards sold his body, and whoever paid the most could rape his body. Elliot remembers the horrible feeling of feeling dirty, filthy, and violated. He thought that what happened was his fault, and this line of thought of his remained for a long time. Elliot's mind went blank after this memory, and he felt as if his soul had left his body for a moment.

As soon as Elliot was back to normal, everything around him looked different. Elliot was sitting on the ground, panting and covered in blood. His body ached a little, but all the pain was camouflaged by the unbearable pain Elliot felt in his leg. Looking around with his vision a little blurred, Elliot saw the five men who had tried to take advantage of him earlier. They were all dead.

The fat man had lost half his head, probably shot in the face at close range. Two others had also been shot, but unlikely that this was the cause of death. Looking for his cane to get up, Elliot soon found his cane, it was broken in two and somehow he managed to use both parts to wedge them into the belly of one of the 5 men.

"Well, apparently I'm a homicidal madman...fuck the description huh. Although that's not all bad. But how do I get out of here without my cane? I should start controlling my temper..." Elliot muttered to himself as he stood up with difficulty and pain.

He looked around and noticed that although it was still 6 pm, the streets were completely empty. Taking the fat man's gun, Elliot saw that there was still a good amount of ammunition left, so he put it in his waistband and went back to the phone booth.

Elliot made a call, and for the first time since he was reincarnated, he showed an expression on his expressionless face. He was displeased.

"Mk, it's me, Elliot. I need a little help here, can you come over?" Elliot asked.

"But does it have to be like...now? I'm kind of busy today, you know?" A male voice was heard from the other side.

Clap

"Uh, that's right honey, like this, keep going!" A female voice was heard after the sound of a slap.

"I just killed 5 guys on the street outside my house and the police are probably already coming. But of course, I can wait for you to finish your fuck." Elliot replied sarcastically.

"Holy shit man! What the fuck did you do bro! I'm leaving now!

"Honey, aren't you going to finish the job?" The female voice said coquettishly.

"Shut up bitch, I got better things to do" Mk replied and quickly hung up.

Elliot walked out of the phone booth and sat on the sidewalk beside the bodies as he lit a cigarette and looked out at the street.

*************

After 2 minutes of waiting, an opal-like car with lights everywhere and lots of colors appeared in front of Elliot. Elliot quickly tried to get up, but now that the adrenaline had left his body, his whole body hurt, and even though no expression was on his face, he was still pale and sweat was dripping from his face.

"Come on Elliot! On the way here, I've seen some vehicles!" Mk got down from the car and helped Elliot into the car.

Mk was a 6.3 (1.92 m) tall black man with a Mohawk that seemed to defy the laws of gravity. His hair was dyed purple, matching the earrings and piercings he was wearing. He wore a jacket that had a shoulder pad on the left side, and the shoulder pad had a skull that glowed purple. He wore baggy pants and boots.

As soon as he got Elliot into the car, he got into the car and sped off at high speed. Looking at Elliot out of the corner of his eye, Mk grimaced.

"Bro, you look like crap. What have you been up to these days that we haven't seen each other?" Mk asked as he drove.

Elliot was panting a little from the pain he was feeling, but he still couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at the dirt inside Mk's car. There were papers all over the car, fast food wrappers, and even women's underwear. Elliot didn't know when, but he began to feel a certain repulsion towards dirty things. His sweaty body was also making him irritable. Instead of answering Mk's question, Elliot asked another question.

"How long has it been since you cleaned this car? Have you turned into a pig and I didn't hear about it?" Although there was no expression on his face and his voice was flat, one could see Elliot's clear displeasure.

Mk looked at him momentarily before looking forward again.

"Are you by any chance my mother? Be grateful that I came to save your sick ass! Why didn't you call the Bruja? She would have come." Mk replied while snorting.

"Why would I call her when I could be arrested for murder? What kind of friend do you think I am?" Elliot replied as if that was obvious.

Mk was incredulous. It took him a while to understand Elliot's words, but when he did he didn't like them at all.

"What the fuck are you talking about, you son of a bitch? I can get arrested, but the Bruja can't? You fucking cocksucker!" Mk was furious.

"Calm down and drive. We have to talk business." Elliot said in a serious voice.

Elliot had never killed anyone, but to Mk, killing 5 people was not strange. They lived in the poorest part of H-town, the crime town of Brezik country. All kinds of shit were thrown every day in this part of town, and all kinds of human garbage lived here. He would find it strange if Elliot was a normal person.

The two talked some more and soon Elliot focused on his thoughts. The screen appeared once more and now he saw the things he had won.

"Is that shitty system calling me dumb?!" Elliot exclaimed in a sudden loud voice.

Mk startled and almost drove off the road. The car slid down the asphalt that shone like a night full of stars, and was soon back to normal.

"You want to kill both of us? And who the fuck is calling you stupid?" MK was once again irritated. Maybe they had hit Elliot on the head.

"Don't you see this screen?" Elliot asked in surprise.

"What screen are you talking about? Did you suffer a blow to the head? Maybe I should call Lee?

"If you don't move faster, the police will find this flashy car of yours. Elliot brazenly changed the subject.

Mk muttered a few swear words and focused once again on driving out of town. Elliot still looked at the screen, but now with even more suspicion. Was the chip in his brain? Is that why Mk couldn't see it? Elliot shook his head, deciding not to think about it for the time being.

He decided to add that free point in intelligence and see what happens.

Soon something that could only be described as magical happened. Elliot felt his mind open to a new world. Unhelpful thoughts began to disappear, and he could think more clearly. He didn't get any smarter, but he felt that his thoughts became a little faster.

Elliot decided to open his status once again, to find out what had changed.

The point that had not been used actually disappeared, and intelligence increased by one point. Perhaps such a system would be more useful than Elliot initially thought.
