Chapter 12- The graveyard sonata

Days has passed by, Chou recover from his wounds. His strenght comes back.

"I'm glad that you recovered." Rando said.

Walking along the way,  bad guys that came from the other side of the land of dawn wandered in the town.

"It's been a long time since I never visited this place."

"Yeah, me too."

They roam around the town from one place to another. Some of them looked around. "I hope he's not here."

"It's been a ten years since we never come back after those incident."

"I don't know. But I think I need to go back."

"Are you coward?"

"I'm sure that guy is not here in this town.."

Chou take a walk around the town. As usual, people in the place are busy on their daily task.

"Are you sure he's not around? What if we come across with him?"

"Well, long time no see." Gusion is leaning on the wall, he approached them.

"Gusion!"

"Do you remember what I said to you?"

"Gusion, please, we're not here to bring some trouble.. We're here just to pay a visit."

Chou saw them, he hide behind the wall and listen to what they're talking about.

"Hmm.. But still I'm a man of my word. I keep what I said."He wield his dagger.

"Gusion, please we begged you, please let us forget the past."

"Remember what I said, if you show your face again in this town, I'll finish you off." Gusion, like a blink of an eye slain one of them.

"Miggy!"

"Gusion please."

Gusion step towards them slowly.

Chou show up himself and approach from behind. "Gusion!"

Gusion look behind to see who is it. "Oh, it's you, and looks like you fully recovered."

"Thanks to the power of ancient kung fu." Chou said.

"Well, what do you want?" Gusion asked.

"I want a rematch."

Gusion turn around and face Chou.

"Well, if that's what you want." Twirling the dagger in his hand.

Chou pose in his fighting stance. Their sharp knife eyes stare at each other, then the fight starts.

The group of men ran and leave the town.

"Excellent." Gusion said.

Chou dodge when Gusion throws a dagger on him. Gusion rushed with his blade, with power, Chou jumped forward and he hit the ground. A strong impact knocked back Gusion.

Gusion cover his face, when he take a look, he lost sight of Chou.

Chou approach him behind with his round house kick. "Take this!"

Gusion fly up in the air, Chou chase him up and follow up with more kicks. It hurts Gusion a lot.

Chou wipe his nose with his thumb. "That's way of the dragon."

Get back on his feet, wipe the blood in his mouth.

"Boxing is not a way to hurt somebody. But in order."

Gusion pick his dagger and prepare to cut Chou by slice. Gusion attack with his agility. "Dodge as long as you can!"

Gusion appeared behind and slash, Chou notice him and dodge. He remember what his master told him.

"Why you put a blindfold in my eyes?"

"To use your four senses with the absence of one."

Gusion uses his agility and move like the blink of an eye. "What now Chou? Do you have a hard time on catching me?"

Chou reach an eight yard as he dodge every attack from Gusion.

"Your reflexes are good. But this time, say hello to your grave." Gusion appeared behind with his dagger ready to slaughter him.

Chou react so fast, like a snake that strike with it's poison, Gusion got hit in the center part of the body. "This cannot be!"

Gusion fall on his knee infront of Chou, bear the pain with him.

The citizens saw it and was shocked. "Impossible, he defeats Gusion?"

One kid arrived and ran towards them. "Gusion!"

He proceed infront of Gusion and spread his arms "Don't hurt him.. Please.."

The citizens draw near and said the same word.

"What all of this mean?" Chou asked.

"He's not a bad guy, he once save me from a group of bandits outside the town." one citizen said.

"He never hurt anyone here, he only fought anyone who want to bring trouble in this town." The kid said.

"Help him!"

Chou approach him. "Here, take my hand."

Gusion looked at him. He lift his shaking hand and take Chou's. Chou help Gusion by the hand and take him to Rando's house.

Rando heard someone knocking on his door. "Who's this?"

"It's me, I need your help!"

"Chou?" Rando opens the door. "What happened? Gusion? What happened to him?"

"We'll talk about it later, please I need your help." Chou said.

"Wait." Rando looked for somewhere to put Gusion in. "Here, put him in this bed."

Chou put the weak Gusion in the bed as he's experiencing the pain.

Chou told Rando about everything that happened.

"I can't believe this, I know him, he's so agile and tough. Now someone defeats him?"

Gusion woke up and heard them talking. He stood up and approached them. "Even me. You're a great warrior Chou, I appreciate you."

"No, you're so great Gusion. I even have a hard time on defeating you."

"You know? I only want to protect this town, since I left my home this town becomes my home."

Gusion told everything. "Even risking my life for this town, I will do it."

"I believe you're destiny leads you to this town, because this town need someone to be their protector." Rando said.

"Indeed Gusion. The people in this time really needed you." Chou said. "Forgive me Gusion, I misjudged you because of your ways even I have no idea about your motive."

"You're only doing what you think is right. I understand you Chou."

Chou and Gusion talked a lot. They have a meal together in the table.

"Why do you abandon your family?" Chou asked.

"They're too stubborn."

"As mages, they want to fucos only in magic." Rando said.

"For them, anything who use a physical combat is weak." Gusion added. "That's why they question me because of my fighting style."

"They don't even realize that you make magic so effecient with blades. How close their minds are." Chou said.

"You're right Chou. They want to stay in the box."

"Don't worry, one day they'll realize that what they're thinking is wrong."

Chou prepare all his stuff. Pack on his bag and say goodbye to Rando.

"I need to continue my journey."

"Take care all time Chou. I hope you will find her." Rando said.

"I'm very grateful to you Rando. Thank you so much for letting me stay in your house for awhile."

"You're welcome anytime Chou, my house is always open for you. Come anytime you want." Rando said.

"Thank you for being a great opponent Chou, I wish you goodluck to your mission."

"Thank you Gusion. You're the best opponent I fought." Chou said. "One day, they'll realize that combining magic and fighting has great power.

Chou step forward then turn around to see Gusion and Rando. "Well, I need to go now. Gusion, this town needs you as their protector.

Gusion smiled. "Yeah, no matter what, I'll protect this town."

"See you someday, bye!" Chou proceed.

"Bye Chou!"

Nila saw a rabbit outside the house, she try to touch it, but it jumps away. "Hey! wait why you are you running away?"

Nila Show someone's shadow from behind. Conrad and Ricia heard Nila's scream. Conrad run quickly to the location and found a monster approching Nila.

Conrad quickly pick a wood and run towards them to hit the monster. "Stay away from my daughter!"

When Conrad hits the monster, the wood just broke. The monster turns to Conrad.

Conrad stepping back slowly. "Ricia, Nila, run!"

"How about you?" Ricia shouted.

"I'll follow!"

Ricia and Nila run away. When they're on the run, a familiar woman grab Ricia from behind. "You? What do you want?"

"The maiden with you.."

"She's my daughter, why do you want her?"

"I know you're just lying!" The woman said.

"Let me go!" Ricia hit the woman in the face.

The woman change her appearance into a demon queen. "How dare you to hit the queen like that."

"Nila run!"

"I won't leave you mother!"

"Nila run! Don't be so stubborn!"

She drain Ricia's life. Nila witnessed the death of her mother, rain of tears flow from her eyes and the stormy day came into her life.

Nila looked straight into her, with a flame slowly by slowly burning in her heart.

"What do you want us to do with this kid Alice?"

"Do what you want Selena!" Alice left.

"Hey little kid you want to play? Hmm.."

Both grief, terror and anger filled Nila's heart at this moment.

"How about hide and seek!" Selena transformed into a terrifying form.

Nila run as fast as she can.

"One, two, three four-"

Leandra, bringing some fire woods arrived and found Conrad dying.

Leandra throw away the woods and ran to where Conrad is. "Conrad!"

"L-Leandra.."

Leandra burst into tears. "What happened? Where's Ricia and Nila?"

Conrad breathe his last breath and died.

Leandra weep, she use her two finger-tips to close his eyes. "Don't worry, I'll find them."

Alice and his minions found Leandra holding the lifeless Conrad in her arms "Well, after a long long time looking for you, I'll found you here. Not just that, another family died because of you."

Leandra looked at her with glaring eyes.

Nila continue running.

"eight, nine, ten! I'm coming little one. Hide anywhere you can hide." Selena laughed.

Nila found a relic town in a far place she reach from running. She ran unto it and  hide.

Selena found the relic and come into it. "Yohoo! Where are you?

Nila is hiding somewhere in the relic, hearing the voice and every step of Selena. Selena found no one around and proceed to another place.

"I think she's gone." Nila step out from hiding.

It's already dark, the place is like a graveyard, silent and lifeless.

"Ding dong!" Selena grab her arm.

"P-please, let me go!" Nila break selena's grip and push her away.

"Ohh.. You're a badgirl.." Selena said.

"Please.." Nila steps backward while Selena is steping forward.

In the cold and quite evening where they're the only beings in the place, a music was played by someone, came from nowhere.

Selena look around. "Who's the one playing this earbreaking instrument?"

The music continue, Selena become furious.

"Well, you won't regret it!" Selena's appearance turned into a terrifying form.

The music stops, and a man that carries a gun and a guitar case on his other hand arrived.

"So you're the one who play it?" Selena asked.

"Yes I am."

"Oh, if I'm not wrong, you're the one that many demons talked about?"

"Let's make this quick." He pulls his trigger and attack.

Alice return to her kingdom failed her mission and was in a bad mood.

"You're majesty, can we able to get her? Is it possible?"

"Silence!" Alice shouted.

Selena arrived and was wounded. Same as Alice, she's in a bad mood.

"How are you Selena?" Alice asked.

"That damn demon hunter!"

"Ohh.. You come across with a demon hunter? How lucky you are that you survived."

Selena go to her room to have a rest.

Nila weep before the grave of her parents.

The Demon hunter put his hand on her head. "I'm really sorry for what happened to you kid."

Nila wipe away her tears, seed of vengeance was planted on her heart. "If I grow up, I will kill her!"

One man arrived and approach the demon hunter. "Granger, we successfully kill five of them."

He looked on Nila standing before the graves.

"We need go now." Granger said.

"How about that girl?"

"We'll take her to the monastery."
