12 Chapter 11- The coming danger from abyss

Conrad, Ricia, Nila and Leandra having their meal. Hot soup is on their table. Ricia notice Leandra sulking, she don't even touch her food.

"Leandra, is anything wrong?" Conrad asked.

"What happened to you last time?" Ricia asked.

"Nothing.. I'm only having a bad dream." Leandra answered.

"I'm the one who cooked that, taste it." Ricia said.

Leandra slowly sip on her bowl.

"Is it taste good?"

Leandra nodded.

"Leandra, after we eat, can we go outside and have some walk?"

"I want to.. But your mother needs my help in the household chore."

"It's ok Leandra.. You know? I appreciate you for being hardworking. Why shouldn't you relax sometimes." Ricia said.

"Do you hear that Leandra?" Nila looked at Leandra.

"Thank you.."

Leandra and Nila walk in the peaceful and fertile land, cool wind touching her angelic face, blowing her yellow hair away. Leandra closed her eyes, feel the cool wind, the scent of the nature and the whisper of the wind.

"How beautiful this place is.. I'm sure Chou will love this place if he's here."

"Chou? Who's Chou?" Nila asked.

"huh? Ahhm.. Nothing, just don't mind it." Leandra said.

"I hear what you said, you mention someone named Chou.. Who's that?"

Leandra shut her mouth and looked on the other direction.

"Tell me who's that Chou.. Please.."

"Ok.. Ok.."

Leandra and Nila sat on the grass.

"Who's Chou?"

"Chou is the man who become my refuge, my protector, my friend, until he becomes the reason why I feel this strange feelings I never felt before."

"Really? Where is he now?"

"You little one is so curious about it.. You're so young for this matter." Leandra said. "Just enjoy yourself being young.. Someday you'll understand about this."

"Leandra.."

"Yes Nila?"

"I hope we will be friends and sisters forever.. I wish all of this won't come to an end." Nila said.

Leandra become so quite and serious this time.

"I can't tell if I will be by your side all time, but whether the destiny separate us, I'll stay with you. There." Leandra put her hand on Nila's chest.

"I don't want to lose you Leandra, you're the best sister and friend I ever had."

"And you're one the best gift I recieved in my life Nila. Your special to me." Leandra touch her face then embrace her.

Conrad is ready to leave, bringing with him all things he need.

"Take care darling.."

"Thank you darling.. Where's the kids?" Conrad asked.

"They're just nearby, Nila took Leandra for a walk."

"You know? Since that maiden come to our life, our house become more colorful than before." Conrad said.

"Indeed.. And not just that, Nila have a big sister and a friend."

"Well, I need to go." Conrad left.

"Bye darling!"

Chou taking his rest, waiting for his wounds to recover. He get up from bed and go out to have some fresh air.

"How are you now Chou?" Rando asked.

"I feel alright this time." Chou answered.

"You're so lucky that you survive from Gusion." Rando said. "That young man is agile, everyone who come across with him will be in danger."

"Do you know him?" Chou asked.

"Yes.. He's the forth son in Paxley family, the most powerful mage clan in land of dawn."

"So he's a mage?" Chou asked.

"Yes.. But he choose his own way, he mixed magic and physical combat." Rando looked on the other direction. "It makes him a dangerous opponent.. So be careful in him."

Gusion is leaning on the wall around the town. Everyone who see him, looked at him with respect and fear.

Gusion looked, and gazed on the far distance.

Gusion remember the time when he's on the family, the time of his trainings and the time when he was banished from the family by their elders. "One day, the whole land of dawn will know my name."

"Stay away from here you dirty little kid.."

Gusion saw the helpless kid, hungry and asking some food but he has no money to buy.

Gusion approached them and as the market owner sees him, he's mood switched quickly. "Are you hungry? Just choose anything you want."

The kid's stomach growl out of hunger. The kid looked at Gusion, like a helpless cub without a mother.

"How much its this?" Gusion asked.

"It's free, just for you.."

"Can I have this one?"

"Ohh yes.. No problem." he gave the food to Gusion.

Gusion put a pieces of gold in front of him, "Keep the change."

Gusion gave the food to the kid and return to his previous place. Sulking.

The kid lean at the wall beside Gusion while enjoying his food, satisfying his hunger. "Thank you for this.. Do you want some?"

"No thanks."

"I thought you're mean, but I'm wrong.. Wait, why are they scared of you?" the kid asked.

Gusion stay quite.

"Ok.. Wait, is this daggers are real?"

"Don't touch it!"

"S-sorry.."

Gusion left him, the wind blow away his hair as he walked on his way.

Leandra and Nila return home and found Ricia giving water to the wandering woman.

"Your mother is so kind right?" Leandra asked.

"Yes, she is.. She's willing to help and even welcome strangers in our house." Nila answered.

"I'm lucky that I met you.."

"Ohh.. This is my children by the way.. This is Leandra, and this is Nila."

Leandra smiled, then Nila said "Hello"

"Thank you very much.. I need to move by the way.. To continue my journey."

"Ok.. Take care.. Bye.."

"Thank you for your kindness.." The woman said.

As the woman is leaving, she looked at Leandra in a suspicious way, without their awareness. As the woman reach a far distance, her appearance changed and revealed to be Alice.

Alice laughed. "I looked anywhere, and now found you."

Rando is in his backyard, together with his Paintbrush and a different kinds of fruit on the table infront of him.

Chou approach him, observing him as he do his painting.

"Are you doing this since before?" Chou asked.

"Yes Chou.. Since I'm a boy." Rando replied. "I inherit this talent from my father."

Rando accidentally hit Chou's wound. Chou feels the pain.

"Sorry son!"

"I'm alright!" Chou keeps enduring the pain from his wounds.

"It takes so long for you to recover.. Have some rest as for now."

"I don't expect this to happen." Chou said.

"If you come across with Gusion, you must be more extra careful."

Alice return to her kingdom, darkness covered the whole place, monsters and demons praise her as she arrived.

"How's your search for the maiden your majesty?" One of the demon asked.

Alice laughed and was delighted. "I found the maiden. All of you! We'll go to where she was and get her no matter what."

Alice order her minions to proceed and they advanced.
