A new Presence... Supernatural!

"Eh, brother and sister!" After observing Kai and Risa for some time, Leisa realized that they were not a couple and appeared to be brother and sister when she eventually saw them both being reprimanded by a woman.

The landlady may be quite kind, but she always had an irate expression on her face, which could even cause Kai to shut his mouth and not speak again.

Ultimately, the landlady hauled them both back, and Kai went back to his room to study because, as the reason they were yelled at, he had a college entrance exam and Risa had a final high school exam.

"Sorry, mom, I will study now." While Landlady took a deep breath to calm her nerves and smiled at her daughter, understanding why Risa could have taken Kai for a walk, Risa pouted at her room and attempted to appease her mother.

Considering that Kai was a shut-in and that the two of them were mother and daughter, there was not much that Risa could keep from her.

At the conclusion of it all, Kai, back in his apartment, began studying with a serious expression, while Risa was given the cold shoulder after four hours of study time.

The winter was on the rise!

The ice covered the road, and the temperature was down!

But the city was bustling with activity!

For the five days following his date with Risa, Kai stayed in his room non-stop because he was extremely focused and had finished all of the exam material. While this was going on, Mai, who had not seen Kai in a few days, had an idea of what Kai must be up to. She called Risa to find out if the moron was still alive in his apartment.

"What? Already worried about that kid." Lena teased her daughter, who looked a little troubled with a blushing expression, but did not reply to her mother as she rushed back to her room.

'This kid is so easy to tease! No matter what, Kai tend to enjoy teasing her time to time.' Looking at the cute side of her daughter, Lena smiled as she completed the shop closing door lock and walked toward the stairs to go back to their apartment as the snow was starting to fall.

Knock!

Knock!

"Shh! So cold..." After emerging from the blanket and hearing the knock, Kai shivered back to his room and turned to face the door, where Risa was waiting with a determined expression on her face.

"Good morning, Risa!" Upon opening the door, Kai noticed the girl watching him from the inside of his messy, overwhelmed apartment. She quickly grabbed his hand and dragged him to her apartment.

"You are staying here, and go inside the kotatsu!" She said it without giving Kai any chance to say no, while leaving the room with cleaning equipment on the tow.

"Thanks!" After two days of nonstop study without sleep, Kai whispered in the empty room, looked at the book in his hand, shook his head, and closed his eyes.

He could only close his eyes and go to sleep because, if he stayed up and studied in this scenario, he was certain that Risa would beat him up for being unwell and a fool once more.

Argh! Idiot!

When Risa eventually returned from tidying Kai's disorganized room, she discovered Kai soundly asleep, gazing at him gravely and muttering as she planted a kiss on his cheek.

'He looked like a kid when asleep! Or else, for some reason, I always felt he was way too mature for his own age.' Risa thought inside her head as she watched him continue to sleep and started to feel a little drowsy, so she ended up sleeping right beside him.

Later, Landlady came back!

She went into the kitchen to prepare some food, not surprised to see them both sleeping, since she knew Kai would be extremely hungry after this sleep and her daughter appeared to be getting good sleep as well.

Hence, the moment the little glutton Risa wakes up, she will start to pester her for the food as well. Considering that, the landlady began preparing the meal. At that moment, Kai felt the landlady's presence and twitched his eyes, looking at her back, before shutting them again.

"That smells good." Risa woke up first, as she shook Kai from his dream. "Thanks Risa!" He appeared to be a little sleepy, but he still could not help but feel the rumble of his stomach after smelling the spicy aroma of the curry.

"Curry is ready!" Landlady Aveline walked out of the kitchen and patted Risa's head. They walked at once toward the bathroom, where Risa and Kai both went to wash their faces before sitting down to eat.

"Shh! It is cold out of the kotatsu!" As Risa muttered, Kai could only smile in response because he was also feeling the cold, although he was accustomed to it and did not feel as cold as Risa did. "Yeah! Then let's finish the lunch." Aveline served the dish as she sat beside her daughter and spoke to her.

The food was delicious!

Aveline and Risa kept Kai company for quite some time!

But Kai once again returned to his room!

He never would have imagined that someone would already be entering his life and that her presence would soon alter the way he perceived the world.

Hana! She was the one from the lady house who helped Kai when he was drunk after the party and took him to their home. Although they were celebrating Leisa's job acceptance, her sister Rena and their second-youngest child, Teira, decided to have a barbecue tonight while they were out at the market.

"What are you thinking?" Hana asked Leisa, as the girl simply sat at the side of the table and continued to look outside with a serious expression.

"Nothing! There is something off with the weather, so let's finish this up quick and head back home early tonight."

"Alright!" It was getting cold, so Teira and others nodded at her sister and quickly finished the food as they walked back. When Leisa noticed the Kai figure, he was running at full speed and went past their sight. "What the hell is he doing?" She muttered, looking at the cold atmosphere, and smiled while rushing back toward her sister.

"You guys, walk way too fast."

"You are the slow one. Also, isn't it you who was making us all rush back home?"

"Alright, talk less and walk." Leisa looked a little annoyed, but looking at Rena, who brought her up from that state, she felt a little happiness, as she was determined to help her sister out in her real business soon enough.

After all, to her, who was always trailing the path that Rena had walked for them all this time, catching up to her real shadow was something Leisa and Teira hoped for.

"Huh! That is tiring, but this will keep my body warm." When Kai returned to his apartment, his body was sweating and his muscles were tense from their exertion.

He had also eaten all of the food in the landlady's house, so his stomach was bloating excessively, which was making it difficult for him to concentrate. As a result, he decided to dash around the town a little to help him focus again.

In the meantime,

Mai and her mother had been cleaning up and shutting down the shop. "Mom, I will go to meet brother Kai tomorrow." She asked while cleaning the table, at which Lena turned to look at her daughter and smiled.

"Sure! Bring him something to eat too." Regarding exam preparation, they were both accustomed to witnessing Kai's untidy eating habits.

So, occasionally, two of them will bring him breakfast, lunch, and other necessities because he is one of the closest relatives, despite not being blood related.

"I can bring him back for dinner with us. Plus, he can also stay with us for tomorrow night too; I had a lot to ask from him." Having Kai out for a night out was normal for them because Kai had also assisted Mai with her studies and occasionally gave her tuition.

"Geh! I am out of coffee." Kai appeared slightly agitated as he removed his coat from the shelf and slung it over his shoulder, all the while retrieving his smartphone from his study table. He then left the apartment and felt the chilly, biting wind that nearly caught him off guard."Fuck! This winter." He cursed while walking down the stairs. He decided to take a shortcut to the smartpoint.

It was in a small alley between the buildings.

Kai was rather familiar with this area as he walked toward the shopping center and SmartPoint. After walking a certain distance away from his building, Kai noticed a shadow on the ground.

When he looked up, he saw nothing unusual and wondered if there was someone running on top of the building or something.

But soon, he felt something coming down from the top of the middle of the two buildings.

Kai barely jumped ahead to find something crashing on the ground.

The guy was wide as he looked at Kai and pointed his gun toward him.

Although he was on the death bed himself, the guy still wanted to kill Kai, who kicked the gun off the guy's hand with his quick reflex and reaction.

'Fuck, lunatic! Geh, he is already dead meat, man.' Kai sighed! He walked toward the guy and held his gun.

'The model looks similar to the one on earth, but the fundamentals of the guns are way different than the guns made on earth,' Kai thought while holding on to that gun.

After all, in his previous life, he was trained in all kinds of guns and hardly had any weapon that he couldn't use properly, so he was able to tell the difference with a single look.

Suddenly another body came smashing from the same building, and Kai barely avoided it and held out the gun as he looked at the top of the building.

'Fuck! Are there some kinds of rainy phenomena? That rains human bodies.' Seeing more than 20 to 30 bodies raining from the sky, Kai was literally speechless at the sight of them, but this time he was able to cover himself and did not get injured by surprise.

'Or is there something which can kill and throw these many humans from the building like this.' Kai tightly gripped the gun as he considered it, glanced at the bodies carrying identical weapons, and removed the bullet casings from their pockets to reassure himself.

It was a dark alley.

So, Kai had a hard time getting a perfect, clear view of anything!
