Going to Mo Mansion

After everyone had lunch, Old Master Mo asked Yun Xi to come with them but she denied as she knew that Mo Shan would be coming there to know her answer. So, she just politely refused them. Old Master also did not force her as he was sure that she has already agreed to marry.

With that, everyone left except for Yun Xi. She then laid on the bed comfortably and thought of what happened all day. She remembered Master Mo’s words and felt sorry for Mo Shan. He had to shoulder all the responsibility in just one day. It could be said that his life totally changes after his elder brother and sister-in-law’s death.

Maybe because she was full or because of her overthinking, she slowly fell asleep.

Mo Corporation:

4 pm

Mo Shan was reading some files on his desk when a knock sounded on the door. He spoke “Come in” without raising his head from the file.

Assistant Zhang came inside and spoke, “Boss, I just got information that Old Master Mo, Third Young Master, and Butler Li have gone to visit Miss Yun Xi in the hospital.”

The information finally caught Mo Shan’s attention. He then closed the file and spoke, “Oh? So, are they still there or have returned? And when did Mo Sheng return?”

Assistant Zhang was initially afraid that his boss would get angry when he gets to know that his family has gone to visit Ms. Yun in the hospital without asking him. But now from his boss’s tone, it did not seem like he was angry. So, Assistant Zhang now finally took a breath of relief.

“Third Young Master arrived just today out of his curiosity to know the identity of the girl you liked. After reaching Mo's family house, when he heard that Old Master Mo and Butler Li were going to visit Miss Yun in the hospital, he readily followed them. As per the information I got, they have already left the hospital.” Assistant Zhang told Mo Shan in detail the reports he received from his sub-ordinate who was assigned to follow Old Master Mo.

Actually, Mo Shan has assigned a personal bodyguard for each family member considering their safety, especially after his elder brother and sister-in-law’s death. He already failed to protect his family once, now he didn’t want the incident to repeat. Aside from the personal bodyguards, he has also recruited S and A level assassins and guards which he called dark guards. But no one in the Mo family knew about this except Mo Sheng.

Even if Mo Sheng looked foolish, he was the one who was in charge of those dark guards. When he knew about his brother’s idea of recruiting and training them, he readily agreed with his brother as he was also feeling very guilty for not being able to protect his family members.

After few seconds, Assistant Zhang heard Mo Shan speak again, “So, any special information they got from the hospital? It cannot be that they just returned after seeing Yun Xi, right?”

Assistant Zhang then replied, “According to the report I got, they spent some hours there and I also got information that Butler Li had asked for the Mo family’s chef to prepare some nourishing foods before leaving for the hospital. And nearly at lunchtime, two servants were seen going to the hospital with lunch. So, I think they left the hospital only after having lunch with Miss Yun.”

Mo Shan nodded feeling satisfied. He knew that his grandfather will go to visit Yun XI and he also knew that he will like her instantly after seeing her. But now he was even more glad when he heard that they had even prepared lunch for Yun XI and had them with her.

As far as he knew his grandfather, his grandfather must have already arranged the setting for him to make Yun XI agree to him easily. And as expected when he checked his phone, he saw a message from his grandfather which spelled, “Thank me later, *winks*.”

Mo Shan smiled seeing the wink emoji and shook his head. His grandfather was childish among all. He then stood up from his chair, grabbed his suit which he hung on the back of his chair, and spoke, “It’s time to get off from work now.” With that, he walked out of the door.

Behind him, Assistant Zhang’s mouth went open as he saw his boss’s action. His boss was never the first one to leave the work but as expected, his wife comes at first.

Mo Shan feeling giddy inside as he was almost sure that Yun Xi would not reject him. He left for the hospital feeling all happy from inside. It has been a long time since he has been this happy. The last time he felt this happy was when Mo Jiang Hui had called him father for the first time.

When he reached the hospital, he saw that Yun Xi was still asleep. So, he quietly walked to her and sat on the table which was near her bed without making a sound. He helped to adjust the blanket for her and just sat there looking at her the whole time.

Yun Xi felt someone looking at her in sleep so she warily opened her eyes to see if anyone was in the room. Her eyes directly met with Mo Shan’s deep look and she got flustered for a moment.

Mo Shan could see her cheeks reddening and decided to tease her a little bit. He acted a little bit surprised and raised his hands to touch her forehead and asked, “Oh, Yun Xi, are you having a fever?”

Yun Xi quickly moved away from his hand as if she was being electrocuted and stammered, “N… no, Mr. Mo, I am fine. Why are you asking that?”

Mo Shan looked at her and put on a worried look on his face and replied, “Then, why is your face turning so red?”

Yun Xi blushed even harder when she heard him ask her worriedly. She could not even raise her eyes to meet his.

A smile could be seen on the corner of Mo Shan’s lips but since Yun was lowering her head, she could not see that.

Mo Shan could not bear the cute look on Yun Xi’s face. He moved his face towards her and suddenly pecked her on the cheek while she was absent-minded.

Yun Xi felt a warmth on her cheeks and when she realized what it was, her eyes widened and her mouth opened. She became still. After a while, she stiffly moved her head to look at Mo Shan and stammered, “Yo... You….” But could not speak more than that. Her face now was even redder than before.

Mo Shan was nervous thinking that she would get angry but instead saw her flustered look. He then looked at her smilingly and said, “Are you shy? You don’t need to be sad as we are soon getting married and will be doing more than this in the future.”

Yun Xi was looking at Mo Shan as if she had seen some ghost. Mo Shan now felt that he has got a bit overdone.

To make her not to dwell on that he spoke, “Wang Lei has prepared the discharge paper and you can be discharged now. But I would prefer if you come with me to Mo's mansion as I don’t want you to be alone in your apartment. You don’t even have anyone to care for you there. Then we can get a marriage license tomorrow.”

Yun Xi looked at him incredulously and said, “Mr. Mo, I don’t remember agreeing to marriage.”

“Oh? So are you going to reject me, Miss Yun?” Mo Shan asked back with a smirk.

Yun Xi was tongue-tied now. She did not mean that she was going to reject him and she also knew that Mo Shan was intentionally playing with her. But now if she says that she did not mean to reject him, won’t it make her lose in their argument? She was confused as to what to do now.

Mo Shan had enough of teasing her, otherwise, he was afraid that she will really get angry at him. So, he just said, “Okay, let’s go now. And I know that my grandfather came to visit you here today and that you have already accepted to marry me. So, let’s go to Mo's family house for now. As for your belongings, we can go and get them tomorrow from your apartment, alright?”

Yun Xi just nodded her head, then changed into the clothes Assistant Zhang had brought the day before. She was really starting to think that she was an ill patient from wearing a hospital gown every day. Now that she finally got rid of it, she was feeling happy. After changing, she just followed Mo Shan into the car.

Yun Xi was going to seat on the back seat but Mo Shan opened the front passenger seat and eyed her to get in there. Yun Xi then just sat on the passenger seat feeling weirdly nervous. After making sure that she was seated safely, Mo Shan also got in and drove away.
