North Gate

There was still four hours and thirty minutes before Zoom would meet up with Aizen so to pass the time he would wander through the forest and collect some herbs to turn them into pills or maybe potions later on.

He arrived in a few minutes and swiftly passed through the trees, his speed faster than before with his black gear acting as camouflage since it was now dark.

Zoom looked like a shadow as he sprinted.

Within minutes herbs filled his now cleared inventory.

Zoom wanted a way to accumulate money for his own and for the guild.

Skilled players aren't the only thing a guild needs after all, strong funding is also a huge reason for players to want to join and stay in a guild.

It didn't take long and four hours quickly passed and soon Zoom went on his way to the north gate after storing his herbs in the local bank of the city.

The local bank is where you can store money or materials which can be taken later when you come back.

At the north gate Zoom looked around before he was able to spot a black cloaked player, he inspected the player to find out it was Aizen.

Aizen wore the same black coloured armour he wore with his bow on his hand, you couldn't see his face due to a mask he wore with his eyes being the only thing Zoom could see.

AIzen had light red pupils while he had a mysterious atmosphere.

'Could I really trust this guy? We were enemies just a few hours ago... But then again I don't lose much even if he kills me, there's also a chance he is genuine then I could befriend an expert.' Zoom thought.

'Even if he does kill me, the equipment I wear is easily replaceable.'

Aizen leaned over at one of the public benches as he looked at the night sky.

"Hey, Aizen." Zoom walked over to greet Aizen.

Aizen soon realised Zoom's presence and stared at the approaching black cloaked player.

"Um..." Aizen looked a bit confused before Zoom said.

"My name is Zoom, nice to meet you... for the second time."

"Zoom, interesting... Moving on let's go while it's still dark."

The two then went on to go on their way north.

Unlike the places Zoom has been before the north has an awfully harsher environment, the temperature itself was already a tough obstacle.

"Our black outfit would normal make us an easily target but since it's night time we don't have to worry." Aizen said.

"I want to know why did you agree do my invitation even though we were enemies before?" Zoom wondered.

"HAHAHAH... Well my guild, it's getting boring in here." AIzen said.

"How? You're in a big guild, you're most probably an expert, a big salary, tons of funding and good gear why is it boring?"

"The benefits are amazing but I didn't play virtual reality games like this in a competitive way, I just wanted to have fun but at this point the guild environment is tiring me, I just want to retire and relax but I still have a contract... too much information? Let's move on." Aizen sighed as he shook his head before hastening the speed of his hover board.

With the darkness of night covering for them it became difficult for players to spot them but even during daytime the harsh snow storm of the north would prove to deadly especially the fact that this zone inhabitant beasts from level twenty five and above, too harsh for the current player base which only have an average player level of 14.

In this area beasts that mainly inhabited the zone were land beasts, mainly the snow cougars and polar bears, with the occasional wooly mammoths that form large hordes.

With no obstacles to use as cover like trees the two opted to go to a nearby hill that had an elevation of 50 meters.

"Ahh." Aizen took a deep breath.

"Sometimes it just gets boring always being in a group sometimes I like to go solo, maybe with a friend even." Aizen said before glancing at Zoom.

"I feel the same, I just run out of energy to want to converse to much, I need time to replenish by energy to socialise again." Aizen simply let out a light giggle before turning to look at the zone.

His view was amazing as the hill gave them a good viewing position and with the help of skills, spotting any beasts even at night pose no problem.

"Time to hunt." Aizen said as he pulled the string with three arrows on hand, Zoom was dumbfounded.

"Three?!" Zoom could only be amazed as Aizen release his grip on the string which shot through the night, the light that the two moons reflected from the sun made the three arrows that had a purple glow look like shooting stars.

That's right in this world the planet had two moons which astonished the many players.

"Homing arrows." Aizen said in a low voice.

Zoom simply focused on the three arrows as they landed and pierced the thick skin of a polar bear.

Roar!

This polar bear was alone but it's size was enormous being double the size of a normal polar bear.

Drool dripped from it's mouth as it roared in pain while looking around for the culprit.

"How do I get this homing arrow skill you have?" Zoom shamelessly asked.

Aizen glanced at Zoom before whispering "Mana" and turning around to aim another shot.

Zoom thought about it and not long after he placed thirty of his available points on mana.

'I need fifty points on mana anyways so it's no problem.' Zoom thought.

"Let me shoot my shot Aizen." Zoom said, Aizen who was about to shoot his tenth shot halted and stepped back without any problems.

"You also want to try gaining the skill huh? HAHAHAH, I also figured it out when my class needed me to put points on my mana stat, I have a mage class by the way."

"Mage class but you're an archer." Zoom was even more dumbfounded the more he learned more about this Aizen guy.

"So?" Aizen laughed loudly.

Zoom shrugged and sighed before he focus on his shot.

'I have to focus my mana.' Zoom closed his eyes and tried to feel mana but it was not something that could be learned immediately.

Zoom opened his eyes and shot his arrow.

Pew!

It was fast but...

The polar bear simply dodged the arrow, unlike Aizen's homing arrow which chased the polar bear, Zoom's simply fell.
