As they drove their axes into the ancestral bark, nervous players eyed their surroundings with great wariness. CHOP! 

"You sure there won't be a beast tide?" 

"Obviously, just trust in our leader!" The D.L. members quickly reassured their colleagues, utterly oblivious to Jack's thoughts. 

A beast tide? This would be the least of their worries, his new plan being akin to unleashing an atomic bomb upon themselves. 

Still, there was something odd happening. Where the hell were the shadowy creatures that had attacked him and Moon Moon earlier? 

He could vaguely sense them hiding. Were they scared of him, or were they simply bidding their time for the perfect ambush? 

He couldn't help but feel uneasy… yet it didn't change anything. He NEEDED to pry open the elven village's entrance to find Pumpkin Girl.
