792 The spoiled darling

If there was one thing that was working out well for the Dombivili lordship, it was the sheer amount of gold and loot that they had managed to plunder from the ice dungeon.

Whether it was re-fitting the army with better gear, or procuring new battleships and defence systems, Max spared no expense in the military department.

Week on week as patrol guards within the city walked with new shiny armour on the streets and as new air defence systems were installed in every sector, the commoners once again began believing that their lord was working in their best interest and that everything might turn out to be okay.
