Evie faced Regard. "Yes. And my answer is no . . . You can't have Meriyaah's items."

Ren and Evie expected that Regard would be angry and that the [ENGAGE] button would immediately prompt. But contrary to their expectations, Regard looked calmer than before as he let out a sigh.

Regard briefly closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Is that so? A shame . . ."

He then muttered to himself, "I really hoped that it wouldn't come to this . . ."

Ren and Evie didn't catch what he said last, and it was too late to decipher what those words were when his head rose high, and his pupils turned to slit.

"I guess I have no choice but to force you, then."
