Jay’s mother

"Just making sure you aren't doing anything weird," Maria said, rolling down the window of her car.

It was a face very identical to Jay's, but the wrinkles beneath her eyes set its differences apart from Jay's. Her black eyes sharply stared at Jay as if trying to peer into all his lies and truths. She was indeed a strict mother.

Maria then looked left and right, seeing if anyone was together with Jay, especially females.

"For the thousandth time, I'm not going out with anyone! Please get off my ass!" Jay yelled with a trembling smile on his face. At this point, both mother and son were getting lots of stares from passersby.

"Get in the car," Maira ordered Jay while pointing to the backseats with her thumb.

Jay sighed as he got inside the car while keeping the box away from Maira's sight.

"What we're doing in there?" Maira questioned as she stepped on the gas, driving away.

"I was just doing some homework in there with their tech."

"Yea? So if I ask one of the employees in there, they would have a similar story?"

"Oh my god! Why can't you just leave me alone? I also want some freedom in my life!"

"Then you won't be able to inherit my fortune at my company's position," Maira mentioned.

Indeed Jay was from a wealthy family, but his mother didn't even give Jay a single cent to spend. The money he had was all the money he had earned by himself.

Maira was the owner of the private multi-billion dollar company. An owner of an aircraft and spacecraft manufacturer that got paid billions from the government and other companies. The company specialized in launching payloads into space intact.

"Let's get one thing straight." Jay laughed. "I do not give one fuck about your fortune, nor do I want to take a position as CEO. Just give it all to my sister; she's more willing to do the work."

"You're still a youngling that doesn't know what he's doing…." Maria sighed and shook her head in disappointment. "The world is where the strong rule the weak! Money is a sign of status! In this fast-moving world, a single step late, and you'll be left in the dust!"

"You don't understand at all. Inhering your fortune means responsibility that would soon follow. And I want nothing to do with that."

"You will understand soon enough that without money, you will be a nobody."

On the thirtieth floor super high rise apartment, Jay was walking up the small stairwell in his apartment and up into his room. It was then a loud shout came towards him, causing him to look up.

"Hey, did you get in a fight with mother again?"

It was Jamie, Jay's only little sister he grew up with. Jay also wasn't much older than Jamie; two years was the only difference. And since she has the same bloodline as Maria and Jay, she was naturally a beauty.

Straight jet black hair, a set of blue eyes focused on Jay, and a pure personality, unlike Jay.

"If you're going to say something, then hurry up and say it," Jay said as he pulled open his room door but didn't enter.

"If you keep acting like this, then mother isn't going pass down her will to you," Jamie said while resting her body on the edge of the rails.

"Mind your own business." Jay sighed as he then flipped Jamie off with his middle finger.

"Th-this fucker…!" Jamie shuttered in frustration, watching Jay shut the door on her.

Inside, Jay set aside his backpack and placed the box on the floor. He didn't waste any time opening the box.

Looking inside the box, Jay noticed a white headset shaped like a helmet, along with four silver bracelets.

"The bracelets go on both of my ankles and wrist, huh," Jay mumbled while reading through the instruction manual. Then he looked at his alarm clock, which read 5:57.

"What perfect timing since the official launch is at six o'clock."

After thinking carefully about it, Jay put his headset over his head and strapped the bracelets onto all four limbs.

Then plugging the headset into a nearby outlet, Jay lazily flopped down onto his bed. Without doing anything, a white insignia started to glow on the middle of the helmet, indicating that it was now on.

[Would you like to connect to New Arkfield servers?] A feminine voice played inside Jay's ears. It seemed that there were small built-in speakers.

[Yes][No]

"Yes!" Jay said firmly with a calm expression, but he was far from calm on the inside.

"What the..." Jay mumbled in displeasure as he sat upright. But while talking on his headset, he noticed a small figure beside him. Then turning to see what it was, Jay felt a soft sensation slide across his hand.

"Holy shit!" Jay jolted in fright and stumbled out of his bed. He was scrambling to stand up properly.

It was… a girl? May since he was so close, Jaybhad thought she was some fish from the deep sea, but upon taking a closer look, he realized it was a sleeping beauty.
