After a few hours, Isaac opened his eyes and saw that Jane was still driving on the desert highway.

"We're going to make a stop here." Jane's exhausted voice buzzes in Isaac's ears.

He glances at her before nodding his head when he sees the wrinkles under Jane's eyes.

"You slept two days in a row, did you realize that?"

"Two days!?"

"Haha, I'm joking. But you still spent twelve hours in a row." She brakes next to a supermarket that had a gas station out of service.

Looking around him, Isaac could sense the danger at KM.

But knowing that he had to let his driver rest, he gets off the pickup and inspects the surroundings, looking as far as his eyes could, listening so as not to miss a single noise.

Its long sharp tail splits the air and whistles towards Jane, who was struggling to keep her balance on the prey, at a breathtaking speed.

Jane's black flames divide the lizard's yellow flames and continued in its frantic races to Jane's prey body.

Like a blessed slayer from the underworld, Jane's cutting edge divides the lizard's head into two distinct parts, splashing its pulsating blood that still has the heat of life.

She then landed on her long black Lita heels, gracefully.

She smiled triumphantly at Isaac with eyes that said: I am not a weight that you must carry with you.

Understanding how her twisted brain worked, Isaac could not help but shake his head with irony.

'I see that Maria was quick to make such a bold decision; may she will have to manage her city and prevent a future tragedy, like what she had just experienced, from repeating once again.' He mumbles in his mind before focusing on the supermarket.
