449 Worse than a Beast

Jiaojiao was sucking her finger while deep in slumber as Fire Ice's head was buried deep within her pillow. It was not clear whether she was asleep or awake... 

Li Yi was in a daze. He pinched himself a few times to ascertain it was not a dream before retrieving his hand.

Fire Ice moved slightly and a weak breathing noise could be heard.

She seemed to be fast asleep...

Li Yi let out a long sigh of relief. His racing heart finally calmed down.

Strange. How did Fire Ice end up sleeping here? Could it be that Jiaojiao dared not sleep here alone and called her over?

Li Yi was puzzled and was about to get down from bed when Fire Ice suddenly stretched herself from the duvet.

Li Yi lowered his voice and whispered, "Psst, psst, Ice, are you awake?"

Fire Ice's breathing became heavy but she did not answer.

Li Yi was left with no words to say. He jumped out of the covers and ran out of the bedroom.
