Chapter 14: The Training Part 1

In my locker I could see a silver bracelet which is not mine. It belongs to the person that was kidnapped by Cassy. I took it with me and put it in my pocket. I close my locker and walk quickly to class. Being distracted by the letter I bump into something hard and fell down. My books were scattered around. "I'm sorry I should've look on where I'm going." I quickly got up and collect my books. The person that I bump into said it's okay and he bend down to help. I looked up and it was Caleb, "Thanks." I said with a smile. My heart starts racing fast and I know that I will start blushing soon. I tried to walk away fast but Caleb called out to me "Hey Mal, I'm wondering if you are free later this evening. You know I kind off need a little help with my studies." he said, I skip a beat. "Sure. I'll be free after seven." I said. With that the both of us parted ways to our respective classes.

Caleb POV:

I was walking around thinking how do I push my grades up. Recently I've been doing terribly trying to keep up with my schedule attending school and classes in The Orb. Then I felt someone bump into me, it's Mal. I bent down to help her, I saw her face starts to have a flush of pink. Then I got an idea, I can ask Mal for help with my studies since she is after all a one of the top scorers and she attends The Orb too. Maybe I could get some tips on how to keep up. I invited her for study this evening and when she said 'Yes' I felt happy. I saw her walk to her class, I don't know how long have I stare at her until she disappear from my sight.

Mal POV:

Right after school ends, the seven of us head to The Orb. We meet up with Mr. Principal and then I saw Caleb sitting on a chair talking with Mr. Principal. They both stood up as we walk in, Caleb exited the room as he pass by me he gave a gentle smile. Then there it was, my heart starts beating fast. I try to keep it in control trying not to show to my friends but Anubis saw it. I could see a little anger in his eyes, I don't know why is he like that everytime we saw Caleb. I push that thought aside and then told Mr. Principal about Cassy along with the letter and bracelet I found in my locker.

"It seems to be one of the missing students in your school I presume. Notice anyone missing class lately today?" ask Mr. Principal. "Yes there is a girl. Her name is Dakota she's a classmate of mine and Jacob." said Rose. Now we know who is the missing person, Mr. Principal gave some orders on the phone on his desk to handle the matter without letting this case leak out to the public. "Mr. Principal the reason why Cassy is abducting people one by one is because she wants her brother back." I said hoping that Mr. Principal will have some ideas on how to deal with it.

"Tyn is locked up in one of the highest tower in another dimension called The Abyss. It's a prison heavily guarded and no ordinary witch or wizard could get in without going insane with the spells there. It's a very dangerous place for anyone to even enter. Only those who are powerful could enter. Even if ordinary witch or wizard enters they never come out. Even if they did they are not themselves as they have turn insane." said Mr. Principal. We all know that the heads above will not allow us to give Tyn to his sister. The only command they will give is either to eliminate or capture her as well.

The only option now that's left for me is to face her head on. But I am still not powerful enough for her. She could read minds, how do we defeat her. This question is repeatedly played in my mind. "I guess we have no choice but to advance the seven of your trainings." said Mr. Principal "The seven of you will stay in The Orb to train fully. You parents won't know that you will be missing for a few days." he said picking up his phone giving certain commands. "How to we finish training and graduate in just a few days. We still have a lot to learn." said Jacob. We all look at Mr. Principal, "Oh you will all will trust me." he gave a confident smile, then a portal opened up at the corner of the room. Mr. Principal ordered us to followed him as we all enter into the portal. We are in another dimension. We are in an empty space, there was nothing but a space full of stars.

"In this dimension you will train with out trainers. Time is slower here compare the world outside. You will have plenty of time to train here. " said Mr. Principal. With that he exits the portal and a muscular guy with a silver bracelet came in. "Good day people, I am Mr. Cross and I will be training you as of now. You will learn how to summon your weapons to be used in combat." said Mr. Cross. From there we listen to his instructions to summon our weapon. Everyone has a different weapon as the weapon is carve according to our powers. Layn was exempted from this training as she already have her weapon which is her staff.

After it felt like days to us we were all drained out of our energy and power. We sat there eating out food that Mdm Toss brought in for us. "Don't worry about facing Cassy alone. We are all here to fight alongside with you." Anubis said while drinking his cup of water, all this while Anubis always know what I was thinking and feeling. I looked at him feeling relief hearing his words, I have friends that could fight with me. If we are together we are more powerful and we can stop Cassy and keep everyone safe. Why didn't I think of it earlier, right after break we started our training again. After a few more tries I manage to summon out my weapon. It looks like a long sword with beautiful engravings on the sword of the Gold rank symbol and the words engraved "Loyalty". My sword could even shift to a rifle and the bullets are made through magic. All I need to do is just will it to be either a sword or rifle.

My friends then followed suit, Jacob manage to summon a bow and Rogue summon twin daggers. Rose summon a two-handed double edge sword, Nick got a javelin and Anubis summoned twin guns. All of us finally have our very own weapons designed according to our skills and power. With that we pass the first training. We exited the portal with Mr. Cross to take a rest in the principal's office before our next training commence. When we exit the portal I could see that the day is still bright and the calender still marks the same date that we enter the portal 14th January. The only thing that change was that one hour had pass while we were busy training which seems like days in the other dimension.
