2 Confusion

Blud's eyes flew open and he quickly sat up knocking over a cup on the table next to him. He was sitting on a bead in a bleak room. The wall were made of interlocking stone bricks, and a heavily fortified door was present on the left side of the wall in front of him. Across from the door a grated window was about 6 feet off the ground with narrow rays of sunlight shining through. The table next to him held a quill, a candle in a dish, and a small stack of papers that were now sopping wet because of the spilled water.

Blud quickly grew alert and bolted to his feet, but as he stood a sharp pain in his side caused him to double over. He groaned and grabbed his side as another wave of pain washed over him. 'They actually stabbed me!' He thought. 'Oh, they're going to pay...' Blud sat back down, and lifted up his shirt to reveal a nasty cut. It was fairly deep, but for some reason it wasn't bleeding very heavily, as if the cut were a mere fraction of the size. He tucked his shirt back in and stood up slowly.

He walked toward the door slowly, wincing every time his side exploded in pain. He jiggle the handle but it seemed to be locked from the outside.

'Okay,' Blud though whilst breathing in slowly 'I'm locked in a dungeon, I don't know why, and I don't know where I am. I've been everywhere in the village but I've never seen a dungeon, the fort doesn't have one, and where else would? Unless...' Blud took a long sniff of the air. 'It seems I'm in some sort of wine cellar.'

Abruptly a loud bang sounded outside the room followed by footsteps down a flight of stone stairs. Blud jumped and reached for his knife, it was gone.

'Of course they took you knife!' He hit his hand against his head. 'They're not dum enough to leave a armed prisoner!' Blud looked around the room for anything he could use as a weapon, but the footsteps were drawing nearer. He ran over to the table and grabbed the candle dish. A small amount of hot wax drifted around in the dish. 'Good enough.' He thought.

Blud sprinted silently over too the door right as the handle began to turn. He positioned himself right behind the door as it opened. A guard entered the room, axe in hand.

"Alright," The guards voice was deep, and calm. "Where are you? I don't want to- Gah!"

Blud jumped out from behind the door and splashed the the hot wax in his face. The guard stumbled back and dropped his axe, scratching at his eyes. Blud leapt forward grabbed the axe, and bolted out the door. There were was one other door just to the right of the one Blud had rushed out of, and a staircase to the left. He dashed up the staircase, but he could hear the guard now coming after him.

Blud's side burned as he sprinted up the stairs, taking them two at a time. He came to another large wooden door, locked but not reinforced like the one that had belonged to his cell. He readied the axe and brought it down hard on the doorknob. The knob came clean off and he bolted out the door, just as the guard made it to the top. The door led into a small room with a hearth in the middle of the floor and a table off to the side of the hearth.

Blud looked around, searching for a door there was one on the other side of the room, he ran over to it. Thankfully, this time it wasn't locked he flung it open and emerged from the house.

The sun was bright, but somehow mist was flowing all around him. The guard came bursting out of the house behind him but now his skin blue, and he was slowly growing larger, and larger, and larger.

'What the!?' Blud stumbled back and tripped over his own legs, he looked up in horror as the guard finally stopped growing standing at 20 feet tall, twice as tall as the house. Before Blud could get up and escape his enemy a man came barreling out of the sky, propelled by wings, and another guard rushed around the corner, his eyes bulging out of his head and glowing.

"How-How is this happening?!" Blud demanded. But, before he could get his answer the blue giant bent over, and grabbed him.
