"Coincidence, don't you think?" Jungkook grinned, leaning back in the chair comfortably. "I told you we would be meeting each other a lot more, didn't I? Miss CEO?"

"What makes you think I'll hire you?" I raised an eyebrow and turned away from him, paying attention to my laptop. Typing away at the keyboard, I looked up the name of a company, doing a quick research for my next report.

"Oh, you will. I'm sure about that. I don't think any of the candidates out there are half as qualified as I am. You'll see it when you interview them. If, you interview them." I could hear the arrogance in his voice, even when I wasn't looking at him.

"Overconfidence kills excellence, Mr. Jeon. Qualifications aren't the only things that matter. You've given away a weakness. Not a very good first impression." I gave him a long look, a hint of a smirk playing on my lips before concentrating on my screen again. I heard Jungkook grit his teeth but surprisingly, he didn't retort.

"Anyway, let's start, shall we?" I turned to him with a smile noticing how Jungkook immediately masked his annoyance with his usual smirk.

It was quite an interesting interview, Jungkook's replies were very tactful. It was evident that he would be great for the job, but the only major drawback was his attitude. I could tell he was a person who could not handle being wrong, but what I didn't know, was whether he would try to defend himself in such situations or try to correct it. I had asked him tricky questions to confuse him, just so I could see how he would explain his point of view. But somehow, most of his answers seemed to be conclusions of the same train of thoughts that I had.

"That's about it then. Do you have any questions?" I asked.

Jungkook smirked, licking his lips before leaning forward, "Yes. When do I start working?"

I scoffed. Before I could react with sarcasm, a notification from my business Skype popped up at the corner of my laptop screen. Two words.

'That's him.'

All thoughts I had had until then subsided as I turned to Jungkook with a dazzling smile. Surprise replaced Jungkook's smirk when I extended my hand to shake his.

"Tomorrow. Sharp ten in the morning." I nodded as Jungkook gripped my hand firmly, letting go with an amused smile.

"Welcome to LongView Inc., Mr. Jeon."

"Gosh! I'm so tired." I exclaimed, plopping down on the couch with a bowl of grapes. Even though I worked only in the evenings, it was enough to drain me of energy. Being the CEO had its privileges, but I worked thrice as much as my employees did in an entire day.

Sighing, I looked over at the bag of provisions from this morning. I could see the corner of the box of cereal peeking out of the cover and I decided to have cereal for dinner. It was way faster than having to get up and cook for myself.

In a minute I had chopped strawberries and poured milk into a bowl, settling myself on the couch once again with a random movie playing. I bent over the corner of the couch and tugged the box of cereal pulling it out harshly, causing a familiar packet of candy to tumble out.

"What?" I pulled the bag closer and looked in, only to find a dozen packets of candy at the bottom of it, and stuck onto one packet, was a neon green note.

'Here's your candy, Miss CEO.

-Mister Secretary'

A tinge of annoyance sparked through me as I held the note. Had I made a mistake hiring him? Although my reason for that was very logical, I would fire him the instant he crossed a line. Every employee in the company had the utmost respect for me. I liked it that way, I had earned it. If he couldn't reign in his arrogance, he had no place in my firm.

I groaned looking at the candy. Ripping open a packet, I plopped onto the couch once more, playing the movie and munching on candy. The movie passed by in a blur while the only thing I could think about was why he was here.

I looked down as my phone vibrated with a text.

"We'll have to find out."

-

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I stood at the edge of the balcony, sipping my coffee and enjoying the morning breeze. This was my usual morning, no one bothered me while I was in my zone.

Being here was the most de-stressing part of the day. Though most would need a time like this after work, I could only make the best of it in the mornings.

I scrunched my eyebrows together when I heard a soft purr getting louder, cutting through the morning calm that I was used to. As I looked down onto the road, I noticed a familiar black Porsche driving in through the gate and stopping right in front of the main door.

"What the hell is he doing here?" I grumbled, making my way downstairs just in time to hear a knock on the door. As I flung the door open, he greeted me with the usual annoying smirk.

"Good Morning Boss!" Jungkook grinned, lifting his arm and tapping his watch, "Sharp ten."

I closed my eyes before looking at him with a deep sigh.

"You were supposed to be at the office at sharp ten. Not my house."

"Well, that's what I was going to do, but I checked at the office and you weren't there, so I decided to come here."

"Mr. Jeon. You are my secretary. Not my personal assistant-"

"I thought they were the same thing." He grinned. The fact that he had just cut my sentence annoyed me beyond belief.

"Get to the office. There will be three files on my desk, each a new project our company is deciding to take up. Read them and make a comparative analysis report that I need to see on the desk as soon as I step into my cabin. Good luck on your first day of work, Mr. Jeon."

Before he could say anything else I shut the door and walked to the sofa, slumping on it. I hated work early in the mornings and hated seeing anyone who reminded me of it. Which was exactly my reason to work only in the afternoons.

And as though the times were mocking me, my phone rang with the only contact name I was always uneasy to talk to. I hesitated before I answered the call.

"Morning, Father."
