Missing Part of the Royal Blood Line: Chapter 1

"Get the hell out of my house you adopted brat!" My dad, Tyler, screamed. He was furious, I didn't know what to do. I grabbed my bag and my phone and ran straight out the door. I tried to hold my tears back as I ran. Everything was a blur. The lights, the stars they looked clearer. The air smelt fresher. I had run to the border town's garden. I hate my life right now. My foster dad hates me, my foster mother is always working. I don't want to go back. Not to my foster parents, not to the adoption home either. I looked around the breathtaking environment that surrounded me. The sound of water rushing, I could hear the birds sing clearly. I wandered around in awe.

"Do you need help? Are you lost? " I jumped. I looked in the direction where the voice came from. It was a couple. The couple looked young and placed her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm Alyssa. What's your name?" She asked.

"I- I'm Renne." I stammered. I shivered as a cool breeze passed by. The lady took her jacket off and handed it to me.

"Here, take my jacket. I have another one." I took the jacket and smiled. She was being really thoughtful and caring though I was a stranger's child.

"Thanks." Then a flood of memories rushed through me. All the pain I faced after being adopted by Tyler and Amanda. They were the fifth couple to adopt me by many had to bring me back due to financial issues and my behavior. I tried to blink my tears back, my tears wouldn't stay back. Tears rolled down my face.

"Are you okay Renne?" Alyssa asked. I looked at her, then to the man, then back at Alyssa. I shook my head no. I sat on the rock nearby. Alyssa took a deep breath and said, "What's wrong?" My heart started to race. I couldn't tell her, Tyler might get arrested. Then, I'll never hear the end of it!

"No!"I yelled. I cried and cried. It was getting harder for me to breath.

"Water?" Alyssa handed me a water bottle and dried my tears once I took the water bottle.

"Honey, You don't have to tell me but, I'd love to help you." I stared at her and it was as if my mouth was a machine gun spitting out all the things Tyler has done.

"Tyler's mean. He is cold-hearted and cruel." Alyssa stared at me she was pale. It was as if she had just seen a ghost.

"So, If I may ask... Who's Tyler?" She asked sweetly.

"My foster father," I muttered under my breath.

"Um, beg my pardon, what?"

"My foster father," I said raising my voice partially. Alyssa looked at the man.

"Would you be so kind as to bring us to him? We want to have a nice chat with him." I can't. I won't hurt Amanda but, I can't live in that hell hole any longer. The abuse was too much.

"138-46 Oak Street," I muttered. Alyssa looked at the man.

"Hey, Renne? I'm Roy. We were wondering if you'd be okay with coming in the car. If not we can walk to your house." I wasn't okay with going to a stranger's car. I didn't know if they were kidnappers so I said,

"I'll walk. I'm not comfortable going into a stranger's car unless I know they can be trusted. Sorry, I do kinda trust you just not that much." Roy nodded and went to the side to call someone. As I waited I noticed the lady was light skinned, she had blue eyes and long brownish- long hair.

"Alyssa, You remind of someone on T.V." I pointed out. The lady froze and said,

"Uh, what? No way! I definitely don't look like anyone one T.V!" This seemed to bother her so I changed the subject.

"I don't know maybe. I think you're pretty Alyssa. I'll tell you who you remind me of when I remember it." Roy came over to us.

"Let's go. I told John to take the car to that address in an hour." Alyssa turned towards me.

"We're gonna make sure Tyler learns his lesson. Okay?" I nodded and followed her. After a long walk, we drew closer to my house. My heart raced, beads of sweat rolled down my face.

Once we arrived at the porch, Alyssa looked down at me and asked,

"Ready?"
