52 Drunk again

"What I said was true....Mr Wilson." I should stop calling him by his first name after we get back. Mr Wilson got a gist of what I was going to say after he heard me call him by his last name.

"So you mean-"

"I mean that I like you, as a person. You're a great mentor and boss. I improve a lot under you. I keep learning more about business when I'm with you. I do not need any miracles done for me to like you." Whatever happened earlier, never should have happened.

The way things are unfolding is not the way I imagined it, not even close. I wonder when things started to go astray.

It all started from the moment I graduated. I came home, and an arranged marriage was waiting for me. I ran away from home thinking that I'll do a job for a month and return him because they would be worried about me, but no, Luke told me that they did not even bother trying.

And then I thought that I would continue doing my job as a secretary, but then my heart messed up.

I don't know if there is a chance with him, nor am I sure that it would last for a long time. Our relationship is complicated, as is. A boss and his secretary, not likely. Society would look down upon us, I would look like some gold-digger.

I was supposed to marry Jason. It would not feel right if I was with Mr Wilson, regardless of how 'deep' our feelings are.

And I don't even know for sure that he likes me. Heck, I'm not sure of my feelings for him. But there is one thing I'm sure of, I may not have much experience in 'love' but I want is pure love. Not some flings or such.

What I want is commitment, and I'm not sure if I could find what I want in a relationship if I confessed my feelings. Being friends is just enough.

It has been two months since we knew each other; I don't think I can make a decision that fast considering our relationship had a rocky start.

So that's why I made it very clear to Mr Wilson. I am not that dense. I can understand what others are feeling. Nip it in the bud.

I sat next to Lizzie at the dining table, Katherine was just about to sit next to me and Chris pulled the chair just as she was about to sit.

She almost fell down. "Woah! What the hell, Chris!"

"Ahem, this is my place, you can sit anywhere but here." Mr Wilson sat next to me without a hint of shamelessness.

"It's not like your name is written there."

Katherine stomped her foot and sat across me, next to Charlie.

Chris did not look like he got rejected. Maybe he was suppressing whatever feelings he had. After all, this was the first time he got rejected without even proposing. I made it clear before he had any thoughts, so technically he was not rejected.

"Here have this Luna." She passed me some mashed potatoes.

Mr Wilson, like it was some competition, passed me the huge bowl of salad. I looked at it and frowned, 'Salad? Is he indirectly telling me that I'm fat?'

Katherine burst out laughing at Mr Wilson's move. She was a girl, so she clearly knew how I felt when he passed me the bowl of salad.

Mr Wilson looked at Katherine and frowned. He had no idea what he just did.

I did not take a single serving of salad. I ate everything except that. Sure, Mr Wilson thought I refused to eat the salad because he passed it to me, sure, I thought Mr Wilson passed me the salad because he thought that I gained weight when in reality he passed whatever he could reach.

Lack of communication, I tell you. *face palm*

We just talked about random stuff during that time. It had been so long since I had lunch with my family. Before I went to the university, we used to have dinner together every night.

But everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Just kidding, everything changed after my father suddenly announced that Luke would be his successor. Then what am I? A potato? He could at least consider my name but no. Good old Luke, sure let's make the guy who does not want to run a business, run a business. *claps*

(A/N: ATLA fan anyone? Just me? Okay)

This was one of the happiest/ uncomfortable lunch I ever had. On one side I experienced the warmth of a family, but on the other side was Mr Wilson, who kept staring at me from time to time. Katherine behaved much more decent, probably because she had to put on an act for Charlie.

After the extremely awkward lunch, I went back to my room, but Mr Wilson did not follow me. To be honest, it was a huge relief. Maybe I needed some alone time, I'm stuck to the guy all day, I even skipped my spa appointment (cries a lot), I think I do need some time to myself.

I am going to be productive and finish the pile of files he gave to me! *wears a headband and turns on some work out music*

By the time twenty minutes were over, more like, by the time the playlist ended, I fell asleep.

I woke up at the sound of the door banging.

*bang bang bang*

Who the hell is knocking so loudly!- was my immediate thought. And then I remembered Mr Wilson did not come back yet.

I opened to the door to see Mr Wilson being supported by Katherine. He was swaying a lot. And Katherine looked like she was going to let him fall on the floor and hit his head if I opened the door a moment later.

"What the-" I did not complete my sentence before she 'shoved' Mr Wilson into my hands and dusted her hands before she left. Oh, and she did not forget to wink at me on the way back.

Mr Wilson was drunk! Oh, for the love of god! ASJWEIHEI-

(Some parts were written because Lia was woken from her afternoon nap and was asked to deal with a drunk Mr Wilson, causing her frustration to come out in an unruly way.

Hey Lia, stop cursing already, we get it!)

Ahem! No..... *whining* I cannot do this right now, I have a lot of stuff, and despite being a business student I am confused as to how to go about this. I don't need a kid to ruin my work life at the moment. It barely even started before it could end.

I dumped Mr Wilson on my bed and proceeded to do my work on the table.

I was writing some notes vigorously when I realised that it started raining. It was not drizzling, god forbid (sarcasm) it was a huge thunder storm.

The lightning struck a pole near the house, which frightened me thoroughly. Where did that bright sunshine go? When did these thunder clouds appear? And why are they making such loud sounds?! Mr Wilson is sleeping for goodness' sake, you cannot wake him up and leave me to deal with him alone, especially when there is nowhere to run to.

*bam* My heart almost burst, I shivered at the sound. Yeah, yeah, laugh at me for being afraid of thunder. Everyone's gangsta' till the lightning strikes your yard.

I peeked inside the room to see what Mr Wilson was doing. He was rubbing his eyes like a cat while he was preparing to sit up.

NOOOOOO!

I rushed into the room, pushed him down and forcefully covered him with a blanket. (Mr Wilson was too drunk to fight back)

"Rock-a-bye baby on the treetop, when the wind blows the cradle will ROCK!" While I was singing, a huge lightening struck followed by a lot of thunder. And because of that, I might have yelled the word 'rock'. Hehehe I'm so dead.

Mr Wilson, whose eyes started to drop, opened his eyes wide.

Now, I cannot let him wake up can I?

I covered him in the blanket like a mummy while Mr Wilson's expression was a huge question mark throughout the process.

He's not going to remember this when he becomes sober anyway, might as well give him a punch for making me worry so much.

Mr Wilson overpowered me, I managed to hold him off for quite some time so yeah. *proud*

Mr Wilson pulled the blanket off of him violently. I lost my grip on it and so I fell on him. I acted quickly and used my hands to break the fall.

Our faces were a few inches apart from each other. I stared at him and he stared at me. But this time, his stare was quite weird. It was like he expected me to fall on him?

He held my chin and said, "There are so many ladies falling for me, you're quite daring to fall on me."

"?!"

He had a playful smirk on his face as he observed me. I quickly got off him and stood before him with my arms crossed. I was trying to look intimidating, but all he saw was an angry mushroom.

"Oh, so you're trying to enjoy the view from afar since you know that I'm way our of league?"

Why I ought to punch him way out of my league.

Wait a minute, he is not behaving like a kid! He was behaving like a narcissistic player! As if regular narcissist Mr Wilson was not enough. Does he have a multiple personality disorder or something?

Let me confirm my suspicion. I pulled his ear and made him stand, "Why are you talking back to me?!" Yep, I became my mom.

"Hey! Hey! Easy on the ears. Do you know how beautiful each part of my body is? You got to pay if you damage it."

His brain is already damaged, who's going to pay for that? -_-
