20 Chapter 20: Plants Are Friends

"What took you so long to get back here? I don't think you would take so long by how fast you sprinted to the dorm." Lawrence scolds me, pointing his finger at me.

"While I was trying to get my phone, I ran into this girl. She was standing idly by next to our dorm room. So I decided to have a chit chat with her. Although.. she wasn't the polite company I expected." I murmured inside my mind.

"Something wrong? Did this girl attack you or did any harm to you of the sort?" He inquired me more about the girl. I took a step back and just let it go. "Oh... she didn't bring me any harm of the sort. She wasn't particularly fond of seeing me, that's all." I explained to him.

He remained skeptical, raising his eyebrow at me. "Okie dokey loki..." He grumbled in a serious goofy. I let out a soft chuckle before I signal to him that we needed to go to the cafeteria.

He nodded and we started to walk towards the cafeteria. As we reached the ground floor of the dorm house. We see a handful of people in the distance. Chatting and mingling with each other.

I look around like they were beautiful daisies. Picking at one of them to see if I could befriend someone... I've always wanted a friend that's not Lawrence or a tree from one of the gardens.

"Look at the plant boxes over there! There are so many trees there! Maybe you should try to befriend the plants here as well. Oliver the Olive tree says that she misses you a lot though when you were leaving." He teases me. "You know it's common for a princess to talk to animals in movies. I suppose you are an exception since you talk to plants instead.

"Ugh. Perhaps I should talk to living things that aren't plants for a change. I do miss Oliver though. I responded bubbly to the sudden jab at me.

I took a look at the trees as they stood tall and erect. They were all covered in different flowers and some of them have an array of colors. A particular bush caught my interest at the bottom of the plant box. It has flowers as big as my hand growing from them. They were red and some sort of horn is sticking out in the middle of the flower.

"What's that flower over there? It looks very pretty." I squealed with excitement to see the flower bush. As I approached closer to the flower bush. I can't help but feel allured by the beautiful flower! I should probably take a picture of this with my camera!

I took out my phone, fiddling with it the way Meghan taught me before we had our flight to the airport...

"This is the camera button right?" I asked for clarification from Lawrence.

"How in the bloody hell should I know? I've never used a phone before you know. Also what on earth are you doing? Why are you bringing out your phone for? I thought you only use a phone for communication?" Lawrence vacillated.

"Oh, I'm going to take a photo of this beautiful flower I saw here! Can you assist me?" I requested some assistance from Lawrence who seems to be hesitant to approach the bush.

"Shouldn't we just go back to our task at hand? Which is the cafeteria?" Lawrence reasoned with me to stop my desire to take a picture. "You said that you were hungry right? Can we go now? I'm also hungry and the fri- I mean we need food to get strength."

"You just want fries don't you?" I said in a cheeky expression.

"No. I don't know what you are talking about. Let's just go back to our original task at hand and it's to head to the cafeteria. So please stop your resistance and let's go." Lawrence with his big arms grabbed me by the waist lifting me up.

"HEY! PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT! YOU KNOW I'M AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!" I shouted at him to let me go.

"WHY ARE WE SCHEDULED IN THE 3RD FLOOR OF THE DORM HOUSE IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF HEIGHTS?"

"OKAY, I LIED BUT LET ME GO.." I pleaded for him to let me. Although Lying is not really my strong suit. I was told that liars get their tongues cut off and that's my grandfather ingrained in my entire soul.

He kept dragging me around. For being scrawny... he has very big arms.. he could lift me up like a daisy and sway me around in the air with no hesitation or any type of restrictions. "ACK! OKAY, I WILL CEASE FROM TRYING TO GET A PICTURE. COULD YOU PLEASE JUST PUT ME DOWN!" I shouted loudly.

Everyone in the vicinity stared at us weirdly. Everyone had disgusted looks in their faces like we were doing something wrong.

"Uh.. did you notice that? They are looking at us..." I whispered to Lawrence. He takes a look around to notice those looks in their face. It was a mixture of laughter and disgusted... and awfully peculiar way to look at someone else.

"I'll drop you now. Stay still got it?" He drops me off the plant box. As I was landing I stepped on the side of the plant box. I lose my footing as I stumbled across the flat surface. "ACK! HELP!" I shouted as I start to fall down the dirt.

BLASH. The mud-splattered everywhere. Everyone around me burst out laughing. My cheeks blushed from embarrassment... This is so humiliating... being seen by other people when I'm covered in mud...

"Princess!" Lawrence grabs me from the mud and carries me to dry land. I looked at my clothes and they were completely ruined by the mud... "Ugh... I guess I'll have to take a shower first before I go to the cafeteria...." I sighed.

"You should have listened to me and just went along!" He scolded me while the crowd was still around us. They were laughing and cheering, giving us snarky remarks and others even had their phones.

The eyes of the others started to pierce into my sense of security... "Uh.. can we go now... I don't really like staying here being covered in mud like this... my dress is ruined..."

"Miss! Are you alright?" A man with green hair rushes over to the area.

Huh? Who's this person?
